Great Hot Pot Spot just outside of Baltimore. Pros: Check out this revolving Hot Pot place, sides keep coming on a conveyor belt! The food quality is awesome, we loved the tender beef, chicken, and fatty beef. The crab balls were good too! I loved the Pork Bone Broth. Everything was DELICIOUS! The waitress was ON TOP OF THINGS! Constantly helping us if we needed anything and open to suggestions of her favorite items. Free Ice Cream at the end!!! Cons: While the sauces were awesome, you have to create your own. They have suggestions, but it is hard to figure out how to make them. The hot bar was sitting out for awhile (fries, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice) and wasn't too hot. read more

This was my first experience doing hot pot and I truly enjoyed it! The large selection of foods to choose from and the buffet style for appetizers and desserts was great. Service was great the food came out rather quickly and our waiter was very helpful because I was new to hot pot. The place was very open with large tables with enough space to hold all the food you will order. Great experience overall. read more

An all you can eat hot pot that I would highly recommend! A cute and spacious restaurant space with a wide variety of high quality of ingredients to enjoy, from meats to seafood to vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, and more! In addition to ingredients for hot pot they had a variety of hot foods, side dishes, fruits, and desserts-- really everything you could want. Our server was very kind, always made sure we had what we needed, and was patient when we sometimes would have to stop and think about our list of things to order. Would HIGHLY recommend the tom yum soup base in particular-- stunning gorgeous incredible. I love a sour and spicy soup and this place did tom yum justice! Thin sliced beef is a go-to for me but the sliced lamb was a surprise winner of the meats I tried, really flavorful and tender! Also a major vegetable girl so I love napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, etc but you really can't go hugely wrong with those anywhere (as far as I know). Overall had a wonderful time and would love to come back! The perfect balm for the freezing weather. read more

Wow this place was amazing. And all you can eat Asian style buffet. The concept was you get a pot of broth (I chose pork bone broth), veggies and several meat of your choosing. The service was fast and polite. The store was very clean. The food was amazing. For 32$ you eat as much as you want. You can have a crowd or go solo. Bad there is free ice cream after dinner. I with the had some non dairy icecream. The experience was awesome and will have to come again read more

Amazing experience! New Generation Hot Pot was my first foray into the world of hot pot. Essentially you pick out your base, vegetables and proteins and noodle style. Those items are placed in your own pot which cooks in front of you. New Generation also offers a bar with lots of different self serve sauces and additional flavorings. The waitress assigned to my wife and I was very friendly. She took the time to go through the process with my wife and I. She offered many suggestions, answered our questions and was very attentive. She cheered us on if we were debating something and essentially was like "do it". Since it is all you can eat, she kept coming back, checking in and taking additional orders from us. The prices were not cheap but considering it is all you can eat and they have some ingredients that are a bit atypical, I didn't mind paying the price. read more

My neighbors invited me to dinner at New Generation Hot Pot in Towson, Maryland, and it was my first time trying hot pot. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I went with the flow--and I'm so glad I did! This was a completely new and exciting dining experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant was impressively clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the meal was. The menu offered a great selection, and I tried a variety of items, including beef, chicken, shrimp, cauliflower, broccoli, and more. Everything was incredibly fresh and of excellent quality. From the service to the ambiance, it was a fantastic experience overall. I highly recommend New Generation Hot Pot and look forward to returning for another enjoyable meal! read more

I love a good all you can eat hot pot. The staff here were so friendly and attentive. You have your own individual pot and I got the Spicy soup base while my friend chose the Herbal. We put in a big order of different beef, mushrooms, shrimp, lettuce, mussels, boiled eggs, cabbage, udon, tofu, and lotus root. There's a revolving conveyor belt of items you can grab if you'd rather not wait to order more items minus the meat and seafood on it. Their sauce bar has a great selection of different sauces, apps, and desserts you can get. I got their coffee ice cream at the end which was a nice reprieve after such a heavy meal. Some of the meat could have less fat but really, for this all you can eat it was quite worth it. Broths were great and everything we ordered was quite delicious. One of the better hot pots around the area. read more

I like the concept. The converbelt is so much fun, but the execution isn't the best. Between having to order refills vs wait for it to come around it can be frustrating. It's also only hot pot, vs hot pot and k bbq. Which is fine! You just need to make sure you know what you're coming into. The floor was really slick when I went to get sauce, so just tread carefully. The waitstaff was super great, the hot tea was delicious, and the selection was good. It was a good experience over all! The restaurant itself definitely is kitschy, but I like that in my hot pot. read more

This type of cooking is fun. If you want to have fun, and don't mind spending at least 1.5hours and 2 twenties, this is the spot to go and be. All You Can Eat that's what AYCE means, and it's worth it. We've been here twice and we'll be back for a third time for sure. You order your broth, and whatever you want to cook, if you want more you order or pick up items that pass by. Don't forget to get your sauces and condiments to spice it up. And leave some room for ice cream. read more

I won't be back, the service was good. Our waiter was very prompt. The ambiance seems like fast food. The hot pot was not liked from my experience. I have a pork allergy and the first thing when I opened the book is soup bases are made with pork bone. However, you can get a vegetarian option. I opted for kimchi with vegetarian broth and it wasn't red it was literally kimichi in a plan broth. I couldn't even mix flavors to get a wow experience. The rice wasn't good, the soup base was nasty and I'm itching so I'm assuming what ever premade kimchi they had w/ pork they mixed it with veggie broth. read more

Really delicious and filling. I got pork bone soup but any is good. They have a sauce bar as well as a conveyor belt for any small amounts of things you want to order. They also have a little area of fruits and deserts which was nice as well. The price is $40 per person which is a little bit on the expensive side which was one less star. Boston's Spring Shabu Shabu is $21/person for more offerings but this place was great quality! read more

New Generation is an all you can eat hot pot place. My experience was pretty average. It was ~$40 after tax and tip. I thought the meat quality was ok. Tender beef was not as tender as expected and lamb was ok. There's a small conveyor belt in the center but it didn't have a lot of variety on it so we mostly ordered our items from the servers. It would honestly be really helpful if the menu had photos of each item so it's more clear which is which. The servers were nice. The music playing switched between genres. There's a TV on each side of the restaurant. read more

TLDR: All You Can Eat revolving hotpot that's perfect for group dinners. Vast selection of meats and veggies that will satisfy everyone. Free dessert! Vibe: 5/5. Revolving conveyor belt restaurants always add a fun factor to the meal. The food available on the conveyor belt are the same offerings that you can order from the menu, but it's fun to spontaneously grab dishes off the belt. Each of the 6 top booths in the restaurant have one side adjacent to the conveyor belt so at least 2 people will have the ability to grab food as they roll by. They have an expansive sauce bar (12+ sauces and seasonings) as well as a freezer full of ice cream for dessert. Service: 5/5. Wait staff is very attentive throughout the entire meal. Since it's all you can eat, you rely on them to check in to take your meat/seafood orders (raw meats are not on the conveyor belt). Fortunately during our dinner, they kept up with our table of 4 and never let us run out of food. In addition, the staff made sure our drinks stayed full. Food: 5/5. Some of the best hot pot broths I've sampled. We have had the tom yum, bone, kimchi and spicy broths and have all been exceptional. The meat and seafood selection is very generous and of top quality. As mentioned above, very good sauce selection as well and some tasty dessert choices to round out your meal. All in all, a solid all you can eat hot pot that will certainly satisfy everyone. read more

Let this hot pot warm your soul ! This is one of my favorite spots to go for hot pot and I've been to many places! They have a decent variety and selections that suit the general public. I also love they have a rotating bar so if you see something you want, you can grab it right away versus waiting. I will say besides the initial welcome, the service can get a little slow but keep in mind this place gets busy at any time of the day. This place is also located in an area that provides both street parking and a garage. I also love that you can get ice cream at the end of the meal in addition to other dessert options (cream puffs and small roll cakes) read more

Open for lunch and dinner. Socially distanced tables can be enforced esp during off-peak hours. For me, it's worth the price for the buffet although some items are charged extra per plate. Approximately $20 for lunch (until 3pm) and $28 for dinner per adult excl taxes ans tips. Lots of condiments and sauces for your hotpot, ice cream in cup included in buffet price. The employees were wearing masks. We didn't feel rushed and one of them was kind enough to take a picture of our group. There's a paid street parking in front if you're lucky although parking is available throughout the area. read more

Have been eyeing this hotpot place for a while and only got a chance to visit today for dinner with friends. COVID-19 Precaution: limited seating, temperature check before entry, staff wearing masks and gloves at all times, hand sanitizer provided. Only issue is that the condiments section is still open for self-service, although all condiment jars are covered. Orders: individual pots and all-you-can-eat hotpot. We ordered several items on the menu but the waitress told us they were not available, so we have to make do with what they could offer---it was plenty anyway. All dishes tasted standard. We came here specifically for the beef cow tongue, but the portion size on each plate was quite small, so we ordered several plates. The conveyer belt also offered limited options of noodle, pho, meatballs and vegetable selections. Service: friendly and attentive overall. read more

One of the best hot pots around the area. I would recommend coming here for dinner since they only have the tender beef after 3pm. I follow the recipes on the wall for the sauces. Anything that has the sesame sauce not to be confused with sesame oil, with garlic and soy sauce is delicious. My usual go to is the tender beef, shrimp with heads on or off, clams, and fatty beef, ramen and assortment of veggies. My favs are tong ho (chrysanthemum), shitake mushrooms, water cress, and Bok Choy or wide assortment of other vegetables they have going around on conveyor style belt. The spicy beef is flavored with anise I believe so I usually just go for the tender raw beef and raw fatty beef. As far the broth, my fav is Tom yum and spice it up with a little hot oil from the sauce bar. The spicy broth is good if you like Spicy. I've had it twice and it's a bit too spicy for me to enjoy so I usually add my own spice to Tom Yum. The mushroom broth is very light and is good if you add spices to it to kick it up a notch. They also allow ice cream and dessert but I never have room for it since I am too busy with stuffing myself on the all you can eat meats and vegetables. For an Asian style restaurant, they always play the popular pop music so it's definitely New Generation ambiance rather than traditional Asian music. read more

I came here during their soft opening and didn't feel comfortable leaving a review based on it being a soft opening. I saw they've had good reviews since then and decided to give it another try recently! I'm glad I did. They've worked out a lot of kinks (like ordering from an iPad if you're not sitting by the conveyer belt). I felt like the conveyer belt was stocked well with a lot of variety. My critique is our waiter was kind of MIA despite it being slow so we had to wait awhile to order meats, seafood etc Besides that, everything was really good! Conveyor belt hot pot? Count us in!! It was a great way to end our night exploring Towson Town center, just a few blocks down the street from the mall. Don't bother struggling with street parking, we parked in an extremely empty garage for the Towson library and got our ticket validated at the restaurant! I was surprised that the wait wasn't super long when we came on a Saturday night. I wanted to sit by the conveyor belt and it was about 15 min wait for 2 people. We later learned that this was a bad decision mainly because David grabbed everything in sight before we even got our pots. He got the tom yum soup and I got the pork bone broth. When my broth came out I had to ask the waiter to make sure it was the pork bone broth because it was super clear and looked and tasted like water. But I knew that once things started cooking it was going to taste good by the end. Favorites: HANDS DOWN get the spicy beef (so flavorful and didn't lose the marinade after cooking in the soup!) dragon noodles, yellow noodles (not sure what they were called), dumplings (they were huge) Topped it off with ice cream at the end from their ice cream cooler. Don't be too excited about the chocolate/mint cup because it was very mediocre. But overall great hot pot and would come again if in the area! read more

I visited for the first time with a group. Atmosphere was nice; most of the food was delicious. The spicy broth was so delicious. But other broths were so bland, but we added things to make it better. The staff was really pleasant; however, our server didn't really explain the concept too well and didn't seem to want to be bothered for the most part. However, the menu wasn't all you can eat. They charged extra to switch broth; some meats and seafood was extra and a broth. If it's all you can eat everything should be available at the same price. However I will visit again. read more

Service: We were greeted with a smile. We also showed up the minute it opened. Just so happened to be in the area and very hungry. Food: What's not to like about the food. If there's something yo like you can toss it in the pot. Thats the fun of a place like this. The only issue I had was the ramen portions but thats only because I go crazy for the stuff. Ambiance: It's very HotPot'esk COnveyor belt and tons of food. SPacious seating for parties of up to 8 I believe. This place is nice but the meat quality is not as fresh as other place. It's convenient to drive for me. If you are seated at the side table, you will likely need to order meat and veggies at the beginning. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of options. I'd love a beef/pho broth, but everything is super tasty.

This hot pot restaurant is the first hot pot restaurant that I've been to in a while. I ordered the spicy red hot broth and it tasted super authentic just like my former Chinese roommates used to make. There is a wide variety of items to put inside from vegetables to meats to vegetarian options to anything that you could imagine. The service was friendly. I would absolutely return if I wanted hot pot. The price was about $30 give or take. I also had the Thai iced tea which was very tasty. New spot in Towson ( 2 years ago). And I'm in town on Saturday ,walk in , temperature check, hand sanitizer, clean, warming atmosphere, $26.99 for all you can eat all day long on weekend. You can park your car in Towson library or movie theater for 3 hours .They have varieties like choose soup base, veggies, tofu, mushrooms, seafood, meat, fruit ( orange),ice cream. My friends and I used to come to this spot on the regular. Still do here and there. I like this spot as its close to the mall after some shopping. They will also validate parking. The business also has a comfortable interior. The food is good here hot pot is on point. You can get up to make your dipping or hot pot extra sauce. The do not do computer pad refills, but the ladies are on point. This is not a get your own back room hot pot. They also do fountain soda not cans. I only had one bad experience here. One time when I ordered the mushroom broth there was plastic in the bottom of my hot pot. I dont care how bpa free something is plastic should never be in a hot pot imo. Other then that food quality and service has always been exceptional. They also have a cool conveyer system so you can grab dishs as the go around. Waitress was nice and patient with answering all of my questions as I had never been to a hot pot restaurant before. The food was rather bland though. The spicy broth was good but the meats and everything else were bland. They do have a good selection at the sauce station, which helps with the blandness of the food. New Generation Hot Pot - Hot Pot Near Me - Towson, Maryland

My first hot pot experience! It certainly will not be my last! The broth that was safest for me (allergies) was the pork bone broth. Make no mistake, it wasn't lacking at all. It was just straight broth with a little salt. This is an all you can eat experience. It's very fairly priced for the amount of food and service you'll get. There's a sauce bar, where you can mix your own sauce concoction. I went with a sesame/peanut sauce and sprinkled some peanuts into it. Our server brought us the house sauce when he thought that would go well with the choices we made. He was right! At the sauce station, there is also a bunch of cut fruit and cream puff things, as well as a little soup. New Gen offers bubble tea and other fun drinks, but I recommend just the hot tea. Try to sit near the rotating conveyor belt of options because you'll have to ask your server for way less. It also gave us a bunch of ideas we would never have tried otherwise. I cannot wait to go back!! read more

I was a loyal fan of new gen until today. I found three thin pieces of plastic on the meat towards the end of my meal. First, I felt it in my MOUTH as I was chewing. When I pulled it out, it was a thin elastic-y plastic strand. Upon further inspection, I found two more on the meat. The owner of the restaurant came and told us "our vendor wraps the meat in the plastic" multiple times, expecting us to be okay with it as if it is an excuse for having us eat plastic. We already had 4 plates of meat by then--imagine how much plastic we consumed. As if it couldn't get worse, we rummaged around the meat to see if there was more plastic. We did find more plastic, but what's even more horrifying is the black bug that was stuck to the red meat. As proof of the bug not landing in the meat while we were eating, I attached photos taken one minute apart. One picture shows the pile of meat untouched, the other shows the pile of meat that has been rummaged around (with the bug stuck to the meat that was under the original pile). The owner kept playing it off with the other workers in Chinese (except we understood everything) and said it was nothing to worry about and that it was OUR fault. The worker said "I'll get you a new plate of meat" as if we wanted to eat more plastic and more bugs... I am absolutely horrified at the service AND their attitude. Instead of being apologetic, they took their time, was defensive, gave excuses (they kept saying it's the vendor's fault, as if they're not the ones who prepare the food after getting it from the vendor), and were overall just horrible about it. Save your time and your HEALTH and do not eat here. I can't imagine how much plastic I consumed today. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more
