The manager Tara stopped by to ensure everything was going well with our dining experience. We do this annually for our granddaughters birthday and go all in with the big night out menu. Our fondue choices were the Classic Alpine and Wisconsin Cheddar with the California Salad with the Coq Au Vin cooking style, the Fusion entrée, and topped it off with the Ying & Yang and Dark & Dulce chocolate Chocolate fondues. Our server Cream was a delight she keep it lively and entertaining while attending to a party of 10 and helping us all make these decisions. The Melting Pot is dimly lit providing a cozy romantic atmosphere for couples. It's mostly the experience that your paying for,the food is good but for the price it's more about a special night out. We have been to a few other Melting Pot locations and have always had good experiences. At the Arlington location though, we did NOT feel like it was worth the money or time. Some of the tables had burners that didn't work and some had (after market) burners on top of the tables instead of built in. There were some things that seemed worn and just did not seem well-cared for in addition to the mis-matched tables. We called ahead to ask about the wait and they told us it would probably be less than 10-15 minutes. We arrived around 7:30pm on a Friday night but they were not busy at all and we were sat right away. In fact, it was pretty dead so we were confused about the answer we received on the phone. The host lacked a little friendliness, but not a big deal. We thought it was odd that even though it wasn't busy, they put us back in the far corner of the restaurant. Our server was a lot of fun, although I was uncomfortable at times. You know when you are having fun joking with someone but they seem to take it too far? I feel like there is a difference between a server being down to earth, cracking jokes and having fun verses carrying things over the line, making the experience uncomfortable. Overall the server was very knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed. They are definitely good at their job, I was just uncomfortable. Again, the restaurant was not busy yet the time between courses seemed slower than expected. I expected it to take a while as that is part of the experience, but time between courses just seemed to drag. The food was tasty, although I feel like for the price, it was lacking. For example, the cheese fondue came with plenty of bread, but each couple only got like 2 pieces of broccoli, 4 grapes, 3 tomatoes, etc. We probably could have asked for more, there were just lots of little things that all added up to a disappointing evening. The staff were awesome & explained everything as it was my mom's first visit! They had a special Mother's Day menu that we were made aware of at booking, so there were no surprises on the menu! This was our first time coming to this business. We always knew what type of dining it was, but never took the time to go, mainly since our only child was still quite young and wasn't able and willing to enjoy it. That day finally came and my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, too. First off, (please take note to the management) our waitress was very informative, kind, patient, and willing to make our dining experience the best it could be. I really appreciate people who take the time, to listen to the customer, and are sincere to their needs and wants. Our server (Cream H) did all of that and really made our dinner be as pleasant as it can be. Our son (10yo) really enjoyed it as well. I really hope the management there really holds on to her. She is a shining star and does her job incredibly well. Second, the food is great. I felt the variety and servings were perfect. We did the four course diner and found it to be really fun. It was like reading a book or watching a movie. An adventure, an experience that is not something you get to do every day. Third, the dining areas were great as well. I had a feeling the tables would have some form of heating, but it wasn't very obtrusive. I would be cautious having young children though with curious hands. When it comes to rating on Yelp, it always says "How would you rate your experience". And if we're judging off of experience, I'd have to give this place a 4 out of 5. This was very delightful way to have an easy and laid back dinner. This experience was a fun way to spend time with your loved ones, and was very eventful. I would definitely recommend. Each course brought delight, however, when it came to taste I would say the Cheese was my least favorite. But the Chocolate and Entrée were spectacular. My only note is when they clean up for the final part of the meal (the chocolate) they took all of my drinks! I was not super happy about that. But I did not let that ruin the Experience we had. I have been going to various The Melting Pot locations since 2006 (Milwaukee, Ann Arbor, Baltimore, Harrisburg) and frequenting a few of them quite often. I must say the Arlington, TX location was the worst experience we've had so far and I would have been embarrassed to send someone else here on my recommendation. We had 2:00 reservations and waited about 20 mins to be seated. Once seated it took about 10 mins for a server to come to our able. Then another 15 mins until we got our drinks. They were out of 2 different drinks my husband asked for so he settled for a 3rd choice. With all the time we had waiting we knew exactly what we wanted when we eventually were able to order. All that to say it took an hour after our reservation time to actually start our dining experience. Fun fact: if you enjoy the presentation of making the cheese fondue in front of you, this location no longer does it. They just bring the cheese out already melted. That was a disappointment as our family enjoys seeing the fondue come to life in front of us. There were so many other things that went wrong with the customer service element of this experience. Our waiter at one point did tell us he was new and only started 2 weeks prior however that is even more concerning that he should have a lot of training fresh in his mind and completely missed so much of why people go to Melting Pot. He was working hard to service my table and the table on the other side of the divider. *This review is based on our meal ordered off the a-la carte menu, we did not order from the "experiences". Visited on Thursday for a family friend's birthday and was shocked at the price-to-food ratio. My spouse and I ordered the Quattro Formaggio for the cheese fondue which arrived with slices of bread, apples, and broccoli. Unfortunately, the uncooked broccoli did not go well with the fondue (steamed broccoli would have added a star!) and the apples may be for a specific palette-but not mine. The bread would have also been tastier for dipping if it were toasted. For the entree, we decided to share "the Classic" which contained your standard shrimp, pork, teriyaki steak, regular steak and chicken. Each meat arrived with about 4 pieces to try. We used the Coq au vin broth for cooking as recommended by the waiter. The food was alright, but nothing exciting. The teriyaki sauce on the teriyaki steak did not seem to make it in the broth we cooked it in and the regular steak was coated in seasoning which was also lost to the "broth pot". The red wine in the broth did turn the shrimp a pale purple color that left us puzzled as to when the shrimp was done cooking. Personally, I am not a fan of cooking my own meal but it seems this dining experience is centered around the do-it-yourself aspect. We ordered the Love Martini and the modern old fashioned. These were each EXCELLENT- the Martini being light and fruity and the old fashioned being sweet, tart and smoky in all the right ways! For desert, we chose the Bananas Foster which was delicious with the assortment of fruit provided! Ultimately, the price for our single entree, drinks, fondue and desert totaled nearly $150 which seemed astronomical considering we only purchased a single entree. While the setting is dim and elegant, it seems this restaurant is more for the experience than it is for the food. Due to the price, I will be passing next time! read more

Love this place! Came here with two adults and two kids on a Saturday night. One thing that's great about Melting Pot is that since almost all the tables are a booth, you have a natural barrier between your party and the party next to you. During covid times, that is important to me. Love that they had an option for kids. $30 gets them cheese, entree and chocolate. For cheese we got Wisconsin Cheddar which is definitely the best one! Salads were Caesar and California -- both amazing. Entrees we got Pacific Rim and The Classic. Especially loved the teriyaki sirloin with the teriyaki sauce and the chicken with the curry sauce. She threw attitude at our table because one of my guests was hesitant about ordering. We are all first-timers, which made me embarrassed since it was my birthday party. I was surprised of my encounter tonight. Tonight was mine and my husbands first night out since having our baby 7 months ago. Yes... that's a long time. It's rare we have help with our child and we are also from a rural area so we traveled to have dinner here tonight. I planned ahead with reservations. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation time which is fine I wasn't expecting to be seated before but to have to wait 30 minutes after my reservation time was a little ridiculous in my opinion. The host is clearly standing at the stand on her phone. She opened Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram just scrolling through them as more people came in. We were finally seated and even our server was not attentive life I had assumed a server would be selling such a pricy menu. To have a ticket as large as we did and to not have had our server bring our drinks we order or to leave our pots burning once empty felt very unprofessional and to make comments such as "I'm sorry I was stuck with another table" just felt inappropriate. This is the first night out I've had with my husband in a long time and I was honestly hoping for better service. To top off the night upon leaving the one stall that wasn't out of order in the woman's bathroom had no toliet paper and the toliet liner holder upon reaching into it to grab a toliet liner I pull out a bloody pad.... No toliet paper, contaminated bloody pads in the toliet liner... I'm just disgusted and after nicely speaking with management I was offered 5 chocolate dipped strawberries and a $25 off after spending over $200.00. I am highly disappointed and insanely disgusted. I do not believe I will be returning and I believe that only having one operating woman's stall and 2 men's stalls isn't big enough for the amount of seating in this establishment. read more
