TL/DR: Philthy Food makes excellent rice bowls. I have nothing bad to say at all…read more ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I happened upon Philthy Food at halftime of the Golden State Storm game on 3-28-2026. Like many sports fans, I was more in the mood for a hot dog. Not seeing any hot dog vendors, and liking rice bowls too, I decided to give Philthy a shot. It's excellent! The chicken, grilled by Phil in plain sight of the customers, had perfect taste and texture. That, plus rice, fried egg, and a touch of hot sauce made for a super tasty nosh. For me, it was the kind of meal where, in the middle of eating, one pauses for a moment and quietly mutters to nobody in particular, "Goddamn, this is f****n' GOOD!!!" One week later, at the next Storm game, I had the same rice bowl a second time, and they proved that the first time was no fluke. I'm certain I'll be hittin' Philthy Food again in the near future. So count me as a Philthy Phan!

Phillip handled coordination with the venue and arrived and was cóoking before I arrived to setup. Everyone at the party raved about the food, and Phil's menu recommendations were spot on. We had tofu mandu appetizers, salad, tempura shrimp and polenta, and various soul bowls as the main. It was all super tasty! The pork belly was perfectly cooked, slightly crispy but still tender and the homemade gochuang sauce was so tasty with just the right amount of spice! I caught several relatives watching and waiting to see when the next batch of food was brought out so they could pounce. Sadly. I was too busy eating the food to take a photo. In addition, I love that the business is family-run and Phillip is just a good guy, super easy to work with, kind and professional. I highly recommend Philthy Food for anyone looking for something different and delicious with a little bit of everything for everyone at their next event.

I didn't realize I needed to have the app to get the special price when I went to check out. The cashier was amazing. She was nice and didn't make me feel stupid or uncomfortable for not having it all ready. She told me to download the app real quick and had another person to help me out if I needed. I got the app download which was super fast and easy. Another guy checked me out so I didn't have to wait in line. Every one was so nice and respectful and I so appreciated it. I have found that I'm really starting to like this store as the meat department is amazing. Super clean, fresh and top notch. The produce section is amazing as well. So clean, freash and fully stocked looking beautiful.. Thank you for taking such great care of your customers..I will be shopping there way more often.. Many blessings to the workers in this store.

The address…read moretook me to a newly developed neighborhood in Lathrop that's also home to a small taco truck parked in a parking lot of some baseball fields. I really wanted to try their birria as it was recommended to me by a friend who had done some solar in the area. I ordered 3 of the quesa birria's which were $5 each. When I received my order the box was heavy and I could tell I ordered way too much. The quesa birria's were like mini quesadillas. Stuffed with lots of tender birria, cilantro and onions. Salsa was on the side. The crisp and color on the tortillas was perfect. I was excited to dig in. Each bite has a lot of cheese and juicy birria. This place was a great recommendation! There was some seating and a cover from the sun too if you plan to sit and eat your food while it's still hot and fresh.

I really hope they are still open at least in a new location or hopefully the same place. Only been here once but would for sure come back for the taco type pizza. Wait for it wasn't bad and they offered assistance to me to bring my food to the car since I was disabled and only had one hand to hold my food while my other hand was using a cane to walk. They had a few seats and tables the time I came and the parking lot is very spacious. During practice games probably not so much but now that the location is under construction I really don't know what it's like there now. I'll try to swing by and check it out so I can update here soon

Everyone here is so sweet and helpful, and from what I've observed, they know many of their customers by name. You can feel the genuine sense of community. That same care carries over into the food. Everything is fresh, wholesome, and intentionally made. You can tell they care about the food they're serving and the people they're serving it to. For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. This is a place that genuinely nourishes its community, and I think that's something really special.

Given the multitude of licenses at stake in such enterprises, I wish to share my recent experience at this location. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.
