Wanted to give a big thank you and give props where it's due. I went into this location today to pick up some tri-tip. I didn't realize I needed to have the app to get the special price when I went to check out. The cashier was amazing. She was nice and didn't make me feel stupid or uncomfortable for not having it all ready. She told me to download the app real quick and had another person to help me out if I needed. I got the app download which was super fast and easy. Another guy checked me out so I didn't have to wait in line. Every one was so nice and respectful and I so appreciated it. I have found that I'm really starting to like this store as the meat department is amazing. Super clean, fresh and top notch. The produce section is amazing as well. So clean,freash and fully stocked looking beautiful.. Thank you for taking such great care of your customers..I will be shopping there way more often.. This is quite a good grocery store. The place is well designed and pleasant to be in. The staff is friendly and helpful. They carry a lot of things you don't find at the other grocery stores in Manteca. The produce and meat section carry's quality products that are fresh which is great. read more

The customer service in the bakery is abhorrent, and what's worse is it's coming from the manager! We went to get some coffee and politely asked if they had any real sugar packets and she asked "there's no packets there?" with a hostile attitude and a distorted facial expression and when I said that there was only sweet and low packets but no sugar packets she angrily said that that's all they carry. She was very hostile and something is very wrong in her life because you can't possibly have that much hostility towards total strangers in a customer service position unless you're a miserable person. I don't understand what has happened to customers service in this world! It's as if folks in the customer service industry are bringing their issues with them to work and then misdirecting it back onto their customers. It's everywhere! This review is for the bakery. Ordered a custom birthday cake TWICE through their website specifically for a whipped cream frosting on the cake and not buttercream. The first time I ordered a half sheet cake with whipped topping and got buttercream frosting instead. Cake went to waste as no one in our party likes buttercream frosting. I looked at it as an honest mistake. Second time ordered a quarter sheet cake with whipped topping and still got a buttercream frosted cake that is also going to go to waste. Well this use to be a really great place to get in and out with your groceries. But they staff little to no cashiers lately. Even if I have just one item it takes 20 minutes to get out of there. Even the self-checkout lines there are crazy. God forbid I'm just in there for beer and I have to stand behind 20 people in line. read more

Raley's used to be a very service oriented grocery store. I have been using them for years. Today there was a nice lady running the self checkout and not another clerk within sight. She did her best but someone should be there to check out people who do not wish to go through the self checkout. Whoever is the shift supervisor at this store should be, at the very least, motivating the employees. I wouldn't typically write about this but there were several people who commented about the lack of service. The lady that was there did her best and was apologetic about the wait, but she could only do so much. Do better Raley's. read more

This score is based on my experience over the years as a regular shopper. Most of the staff is always helpful and welcoming, the store is always clean and navigable, and the meat/produce are always fresh and of good quality. One complaint I have is that they can be a bit too reliant on self-checkout, especially in the mornings and at night. After 8 or so there usually isn't anyone on the registers at all and it makes for an awkward experience when you have an item that can't be rung up in self check out. Finally, I would also like to know when they started skimping on the sandwiches? Their deli used to be my go-to spot for sandwiches. read more

7/31/2025. At 3 PM in the afternoon my wife went into the deli at this particular Raleys location to have two sandwiches made for us. She said when she approached the counter, there was a gentleman making a sandwich who quickly looked up and stated to her that they were no longer making sandwiches for the day. Her reply was that it was three in the afternoon. Are you closing? She asked him. No, he replied. The manager just said that we are no longer making sandwiches this afternoon. All the while, while he was making a sandwich with this particular Raley's location, there seems to be problems from every angle of this store. I love coming to this grocery store it's nice and clean it has good deals sign up for rewards and use at check out to redeem coupons or clip coupons before you start shopping I come in here literally 2-3 times a week for my needs love the self check out and the hot deli items and they're sushi are fresh daily, quality of foods are so much better compared to other grocery stores, but definitely worth the drive. read more

This review is for Michelle in the Deli section. I came in this morning for a sandwich. It was late morning so there was no one in line. Michelle helped me. Raley's store is always clean and nice. The customer service is amazing. Their meat selection is outstanding as well. I have been shopping here for over 30 years. My biggest grape is the expired food I have bought from this store. I have purchased over 20+ items that expired the next day or have already passed expiration. It's really disheartening sometimes. I am the worst with keeping and collecting my receipts too so I don't always run in to exchange it. I have also purchased stuff before expiration and have gone bad in the refrigeration area like juice. I highly recommend checking your items before purchasing. Save your self a trip back to the store. Also make sure you are checking your Raley's app to get the most bang for your buck. If you aren't adding the deals they aren't giving you your coupons! read more

The supermarket is clean. The staff is friendly. They are a bit slow making our sandwiches. The sandwiches are average, not too bad, and also nothing grand. They offer 8 options but you can create your own sandwiches. It does become expensive if you plan on loading up on different meats and such. Service is awful unless you are dealing with management. Cashier today around 4pm had allowed multiple guest with a cart FULL of items into express lane, NO consideration for the ENTIRE LINE of guest with only a handful of items. I understand guest can get demanding and not care for rules. But use common sense when running a register. You see multiple carts stacked in express ask them to move. They are the ones who dont know how to read. Be mindful of the many not the few and lose customers. read more

I went in to Raleys today I used the self checkout I had some issues and I had to wait for the attendant to help me three time and each time I had to wait for her to stop talking to her coworker and even wait for her to stop looking at her coworkers phone when I was leaving I suggested she not talk so much she said you just have to read it hella rude I wasn't rude just had a suggestion she didn't like. So I went to the car after being hella pissed came back in asked for the manager I didn't want to hide my displeasure from everyone the now new attendant got rude with me and the manager didn't want to help me anymore I was upset after now two employees haveing rude to me and he just wanted to hide me from other customers. I love the items they have but the customer service is a hit or a miss. There is a lady there right now at self checkout 6/25 at 10am with curly black hair. Always has attitude and last time I saw her she gave me attitude and I was not pleased with her bad attitude and horrible customer service. Today she didn't even greet me, probably cause she remembered me from last time when she had a bad attitude and I showed my displeasure with it. This store is great but some people need to work on their people skills. If you have a bad day leave it outside, don't take it out on your customers because it looks like you hate your job because of the people. What a shame. read more

Peet's! Okay, I don't really have a lot of needs to shop here yet. I basically just moved to the area and I'm staying at a motel until I can find a place to live. I knew that they had Peet's and I was just as interested in other things that they might have, such as fruit and pistachios. They seemed to have a good produce section that seemed a bit high-priced. That said, I haven't checked the prices at Safeway, although I looked at Save Mart much later, which seemed higher. I stopped at the bakery area, where they had Peet's Coffee, and the coffee selections were trimmed quite a bit, but it's great not to have to drive to the Bay Area, correct? What was interesting was that they weren't using numbers. How do you keep track of a crowd? You guess? That's not good. The gentleman behind the counter finished a drink and asked who was next, and the woman down the way politely pointed toward me. Had I known that she just needed to pick up a cake, I would have let her go first. He also explained about the savings card, and there being some sort of buy 6, get 1 free drink club. Good to remember. He took my drink order and was friendly about it. It took a while to make, but that's typical of most coffee places. When he turned to me, she said something about wanting to pick up the cake because she was driving to San Fran. Then, a woman behind the counter who hadn't been busy came up and asked, in an unfriendly tone, and the lady explained about the cake. As I was leaving, a couple of people working there seemed pleasant, if overwhelmed by some already awesome crowds. Update 2014.07.19: I've been in my apartment for several days, and I've been back to shop. I'm still seeing good prices and helpful people. I bought a pre-packaged salad today and it was quite good for the price. I couldn't fit it all into the extra large bowl I use. I looked for Korean and Japanese groceries and found those limited, as with any non-Asian store. They also don't have my tofu, so I need to drive to the circus called Walmart to get that. read more

I must admit it's a beautiful array of fruits @ vegetables and the young man that works at the deli area is sooo nice & helpful; however the lady that works at the bakery section where Pete's Coffee is....is very rude! Staff has their moments of rudeness that are hard to ignore. Would be a 1, but I have had a few decent experiences there through out the years I have been going to make it a 2. My suggestion would be to hire a more diverse staff, or diversity training. If that helps explain the feeling I get when I go. read more

This review is for the bakery. Went in today to order a very simple wedding cake that i would decorate myself. A simple 8 inch round cake with the 2nd layer a little smaller, maybe 6 inch Plain white frosting. nope. No can do. They cant make a second layer cake that has a smaller diameter but they CAN make a second layer cake....um.... What?? You cant?? They're "premade". Nope. All that with a pompous attitude and a kid employee that "wasnt sure" about anything i asked. How hard is it to take a "premade" 8 inch round cake and cut it slightly smaller for me. Definitely need some PR training starting from management. The last time I purchased several chicken packs , the manager asked the other cashier if there was still a limit . For Bakery: Ordered our daughters cake from here 1 week in advance. She wanted a unicorn one and something not huge since it was A small family gathering. Everybody is ALWAYS pleasant and I really enjoy coming here with the family to get my sandwiches, desserts, that I discovered only because they are beautifully displayed next to where I order my PEET's coffee! I live in the deli/bakery/Peet's coffee area. Usually it's Javier who helps me (love him!) but anytime one of the ladies help me they are such a pleasure. My kids love them because they all give them cookies. The entire store is immaculately clean. I know it's just a grocery store... but it's NOT!... It's one of my HAPPY places because of the pleasant staff. No grumpy faces, always smiles along with great things to eat. I choose their sandwiches over Togo's, Subway, Safeway Deli, Mr. Pickles.. ect. Assorted, individual desserts are 4 for $10 ...and my favorite PEET's!!! read more

I went to this grocery store on (October 20th 2019) this store is a joke as other reviewers mentioned it the prices for items here are not competitive at all so be prepared to pay way more than in any other grocery stores... but today this is not my main complain. Today I want to complain for the many excuses they are now making up to not give you your money back for deposit you pay for your milk bottles (nutchell and straus)this is the first time I run into this issue but they now won't take your milk bottles (nutchell and straus) if they have even a tiny spot which is ridiculous. basically with their new stupid policy they are telling you now: forget it we won't give your money back they now want the bottles Crystal clear and with no spots at all that's their main excuse, I have to mention that this is the first time I ran into this ridiculous issue, the best thing to do is to stop consuming from these milk brands and raley's stores they do not deserve our hard working money And that's the reason I am giving them one star today read more

Raley's is a great place to shop and I have no complaints about the store or the quality of the products sold. My complaint is snobbery of some customers and cashiers condoning this behavior. I would think that the current covid-19 daily stress, people would be kinder and not judge those they feel are beneath their station, e.g. blue collar vs white collar. I asked my husband to shop for me because my immune system is compromised, and he came home to tell me the PC Police was in full force at your store. Apparently he was not in the exact distance from the person in front of him and was chastised by the customer and the cashier. read more
