This is pertaining to the delivery service. I ordered sandwich items for the family which included bread and lettuce. My order arrived and no bread nor lettuce and I asked for substitutions. So, the whole store is out of bread and lettuce? Okie dokie. The online order total after delivery doesn't even bother to reflect the missing items so I had to call the store and inquire about a refund. This whole delivery has been a bust. How hard can delivery be?! It's food! Safeway delivery all day So I had to call back AGAIN because items missing and I received no credit nor any notification that items weren't included. Nothing. Why must I call twice to fix when it should already be done by Raleys. No understanding of sheer incompetence and nobody cares. This one will always be a mystery to me. I used eCart for the first time today. The clerk called me to let me know some of the items I had ordered were out of stock, asking if I wanted the next best thing to match it. I appreciated the head's up and proactive nature of this exchange. Brenda came right out when I arrived with my 4, yes four, carts of groceries. I have chronic Lyme disease and systemic arthritis making it difficult for me to stand for long periods of time. Having this great resource (with such personable help) really made today better. Prices can be outrageous compared to local grocery stores...but I'm trying to leave a comment for Javi in the bakery. He is the biggest reason I come back. He is extremely valuable to the company. He is always eager to please and help out. Wish I could seen the name tag for the older asain gentleman so I dont have to specify by race. He ruins my experience every single time. He is careless and never smiles and seems to dislike his job. He makes me so uncomfortable I don't even want to get his help. This store is not for anyone on a budget. When they have stuff on sale, it's a pretty good deal but otherwise you're going to pay more than most grocery stores. They have a really good produce section and deli section. If you're in a hurry you can order online. Also, nice wine selection. read more

The only thing keeping me from giving Raley's a five star review is their policy to force customers to use the automated check out service. This is annoying and not convenient for larger volume purchases. Furthermore, raley is supposed to open main check out service by 8 am and many times it does not happen. I'm a customer and not a cashier. Raley's prices are not competitive and that's fine with me because I don't like emptying my cart and they have baggers. I've complained about their automated check out service directly to corporate and management here in Manteca. But to no avail, I've never gotten a response. I think the bottom line here is that raley does not want to accommodate their early morning customer base and that's on corporate and not the hard working employees. What a farce!!! So someone from Raley's responded to my review. That was two weeks ago and nothing has changed. In fact, Raleys new policy regarding automatic check station was to end at 8 am. Now it's ends at 10 am. Not cool! Bottom line, raley wants to save a few bucks at the expense of disappointing their morning base. Again what a farce! Raley is not about satisfying their customers, but rather cutting cost for corporate gain. By the way raley, you think I was going to go away because your response was to check in with store policy? Do not require face masks to be worn. Customer service says it is for the safety of their team members and customers - they do not want a confrontation. The security guard is not there to enforce mask wearing - but to make sure people do not steal food to eat. Customer service said they will not refuse service to any customer during the pandemic. I asked if I came back with not shirt or shoes, would I be refused - they said yes. Said, I have been going to that store for over 20 years. read more

Almost always a positive experience when visiting Raleys on lathrop. Friendly staff, well maintained store, and quality products, albeit a bit pricey. The deli is where the customer service usually lacks. For example yesterday the young woman with the glasses and crew cut abandoned the number system and started helping people out of turn order. At the very least, greet the other families waiting and assure them that someone will be there to assist them instead of completely ignoring them. Other than that, this raleys is my go-to spot for grocery shopping. read more

I've used several grocery delivery services but I only use Raley's now. They have quality products at a decent price. But their service is unbeatable. If they are out of something they call me to see if I want a replacement. Most places just leave the items off. When there was an issue with delivery, they more than made up for it. It wasn't even their fault. It was a third party delivery service. But they still took care of me. I only shop at Raley's from now on. read more

Best Raley's sushi so far! I go to many Raley's in the Sacramento area and their sushis are okay! This location has a really good Seaside Combo sushi. The flavor is good and the rice is perfect. Other Raley's have soggy sushi rice. read more

Raleys in Manteca is my go to store. It feels like home. Everyone that works there is personable, knowledgeable and friendly. The store is clean and I swear they have the best music ever! I have been a customer of this store since it first opened almost 20 years ago. At the time, is was upscale for Manteca. Upsides: The butchers in the meat department couldn't be friendlier. They always accommodate any special request I have. Checkers always friendly, know and remember us. Baggers always friendly. The organic department has items I can't get anywhere else in town. Store is always clean and makes an effort to keep outside lot clean. I no longer use this pharmacy as I switched to Kaiser, but when I did they were always helpful. The ready to go foods are plentiful as well as sandwiches in the deli department. The store management also seem to make an effort to keep panhandlers and loitering away from the store. This is not so with all of the stores in Manteca. Downsides: Many times weekly e-coupons are for items I would never buy. Produce can be hit and miss, sometimes the mushrooms are just gross. Frankly, while the prices are about the same, Safeway has a much better, fresher and wider selection of produce. Seafood leaves something to be desired. I wish they had a fresh seafood counter as Safeway does. A wider range of cheeses or a cheese bar would be nice. The deli number system does not seem to work well as the number displayed is always either way behind or way ahead of the ticket you actually pull. At times, depending on who is staffing, the deli can be very slow. This being said, I continue to patronize this store weekly. read more

Every time I go into this store the workers are rude as hell for no reason. Today I was gathering what I needed to make dinner and the basil they had in the produce section was not in the fridge and it was fuzzy and moldy. I stopped by the frozen veggies and got what I needed. Fast forward to 7 pm and I'm getting ready to steam the frozen veggies I got, as I am about to open the bag I see the black letters printed on the corner of the bag BBD (best by date) JUNE 2020????! The food I had bought expired TWO MONTHS ago. I was offered no resolution when I called the store because I tossed my receipt...... Why, oh why must they rearrange the entire store, again?!? I go here once a week, when I'm on this side of town for dinner with friends. I get the same items every week and I knew exactly where to grab the items I need. In n out in ten minutes flat. My last trip I was going back and forth across the store looking for a can of olives. I had ordered my cupcakes from Raleys over the phone and I totally forgot I needed more cupcakes! I came today the day of my sons birthday to see if I can order more. Mind you it's a weekend and I would have understand if they couldn't, so I asked Chuck and she was so sweet and went to ask the person in the back. Coming from the bay area where I could get specialty items at nearly every store to Manteca (hi. I'm in Manteca) where it varies from store to store. I fell in love with Rayleys. The prices don't bother since I shop for only certain items only there. I do not shop during the main hours but rather come around 9pm and use that time to relax. The store which can be manic during main hours is now peaceful. The produce is the best in town and of course, they have my Jolt Cola. My gogo juice since high school, though not as intense as what out now but it doesn't give me the shakes or me feel like brain in melting. Lol sorry off point there.... After reading some of the reviews on yelp about the Raley's deli, I thought I would give it a try. I had been here a couple times prior to today but left because the deli area was backed up with customers and the employees were slow so I left. Today, there was no line. I was greeted with the friendly smile of Bridget. I had her make two custom sandwiches. I was a bit confusing because I couldn't remember what was to go on one of the sandwiches. Bridget just smiled and helped me out with suggestions. The sandwiches were very good. I liked them better than subway, togos, and mr. Pickles. The sandwiches are bigger and a bit cheaper. The deli and the rest of the store was very clean and the cashiers are friendly. I would recommend the deli sandwiches to my friends. read more

I love coming here! This is one of my most favorite stores to shop in. Yes they are more expensive, but the customer service has always been top notch! When ever I have a question there is always an employee near by! They have patience for me when I forget the name of what I am looking for and let me describe and together we figure it out. My family truly enjoys the sandwiches here!!!! I like to swing by after work sometimes and my husband recently told me that he likes their sandwiches more then any other sandwich shop. So on pay days we tend to treat our selves to the amazing sandwich making skills of the sand which artisans. They are always so nice even if the power goes out and they have to think on their toes, they keep it together! Sometimes the lines are long and some customers do not have patients and want service now and get a little huffy puffy. I have yet to see any of the employees treat those customers any differently. They just keep that smile on their face and let that customer know they will be right with them!!! You guys rock our socks!!! Thank you again for your continued awesome customer service!!!! This is my favorite grocery store in not only Manteca but also Stockton where I currently live. I started shopping here when I lived in Manteca. When I moved to Stockton I continued to drive down to Manteca to shop here. The store is clean. Service is fast. They offer a good selection of products. There are fresh donuts daily but you need to get there early on weekends to get the best selection. The deli makes a great sandwich. There's Peet's Coffee in the bakery so you can enjoy a cup while you shop. Prices are good. I have read that products here are pricey but Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the major shopping days, are sale days with a wide variety of items offered at very reasonable prices. Plus there are special bargains every Monday during their $5 Monday To sum up, try it. You'll like it. read more

Every year I buy prime rib roast here BUT this year apparently they have none! I ring the bell and "patty" comes out with a look of (why did you disturb me)? She takes me to the ONE ROAST that's is all fat for 8.99 lb. "um will you get more tomorrow"? No she replies. So apparently RALEYS ONKY CARRIES ENOUGH PRIME RIB FOR Christmas Day and not through the new year. Patty obviously needs a vacation or maybe retirement is near. I was shopping at Manteca Raley's today. i noticed they were out of Bailey's Vanilla Coffee creamer. There was a young employee by the name of Christopher, (Chris) stocking the refrigerator. I asked him they were all out of Bailey's Vanilla Coffee creamer. And with a big beautiful smile he said he didn't think so, but would check. In less than 3 mins. he was back with a big beautifull smile and a box of my creamer. He opened up the box and handed me a bottle. He was so professtional. He did not act like I was putting him out.
