This is one of my favorite place to buy food. Customer service is great and always willing to help.

Juanita every year helps me get a Valentine's day assortment of roses designed especially for my wife. She uses her creative skills to make the best floral creations and not only does my wife love them but so do all the people that come into her office. I have also had the pleasure of having Juanita helping me a few times in the bakery department and again she shines well in that role. If I am going to Raleys of Manteca I am expecting great service and excellent quality products. I get both with most all the employees I come into contact while in the store. But again Juanita hits it out of the park each time with her dedication to customer service and creative skills. read more

Gluten free!!! Although I hate the new conversion go the gluten free into regular shelves because they did not fully interchange things so it's a guessing game. Some isles are still small & awkward. That being said this is the best store in town. Savemart has almost nothing to offer, Safeway is crowded & finding gluten free is not easy. I prefer the produce at Raleys. It's almost on par with Whole Foods. Really nice staff & always helpful. Now they have self check out. Still waiting for better options in the deli like they have in Tracy. I would like to touch on the produce. It's a little pricey but always fresh. Good variety. They also have precut options to easily create meals with veggies. I'm giving them 4 stars because of the isles (small & slightly confusing). I realize the building only has so much space but the cleaning isles are big while the condiment isle is tiny. read more

UPDATE*** Raley's Manteca, you're doing much better! I like the remodel, however I was disappointed that they got rid of the "natural foods/organic" section. They still have organic foods, but they are interspersed throughout the regular foods. The produce section is nice, with a decent selection of organic produce that is always fresh so good job on that. Raley's has the best bakery goods with better quality ingredients than standard grocery store faire. Friendly employees, things are looking up. read more

This store is where I do most of my grocery shopping. I stop here multiple times a week. The store is very clean and the staff are really nice. They carry a wide variety of things I buy that I usually don't find in most other grocery stores. The only thing I wish I could change is their prices, BUT it's not like all of the other grocery stores aren't expensive.. so I can't entirely blame them. read more

The product selection is amazing. The deli workers are much the same. In fact, they'll consistently go out of their way to help you on matters that have nothing to do with meat and cheese. So what's the issue tissue? Every other employee will go out of their way NOT to help you. And, on my last visit, I was overcharged on half my items, and charged twice for a case of bottled water. read more

I loved Raley's for their gluten free section. I didn't have to read labels, just go to the section and shop all the varieties of choices. Today, I went to find that the Gluten free section is now integrated. I couldn't find anything. I want to get in and get out, but now I'm walking in circles and I just wanted to cry. Ok, guys, you are reading a review of someone that used to work in this grocery business, also, cooks a LOT!!! There is NO other store anywhere around that compares to my Raley's! Every dept. is gracious, helpful, and stocks the BEST products available!!! I have asked for special orders from the meat dept., and Michelle is so helpful. If I need special produce, Ray is the man!!! I do cooking for others, and they always ask where I shop! The prices are consistently higher Ethan bay area whole foods prices. But with less quality and selection. Peeves me off a bit because there are several nearblwith residents on fixed incomes and this is the most accessible store for them. I've taken to stopping in livermore for groceries when I come down to visit. Meat selection especially pitiful (but don't worry, still pricier than anywhere else). If I thought they were paying their employees remarkably well I wouldn't mind, but that is not the vibe I get. Only reason it's two stars instead of one is that the beer selection is decent, though again, 40% markup. Liquor selection is not good, with their top shelf being the middle shelf elsewhere. read more

I am giving 5 stars because I recently began "checking" out Raley's after many years of making a conscious effort NOT to shop there. Years ago the staff was rude - the prices were insane high - and you wouldn't get help to your car unless you were a "regular" and they liked you. WOW...how the times have changed! I always have a pleasant experience when I shop there now. The checkers are very friendly and make conversation with everyone as if they are everyday regulars! The courtesy clerks are also friendly and never leave enough time for you to have to start bagging your own groceries, like at Save Mart and Safeway. They also just immediately help you to your car....they don't ask and they don't wait for you to ask.....GREAT customer service for sure! And the store is ALWAYS exceptionally clean and neat! Now for my #1 reason I shop at Raley's.......THEY ARE THE ONLY STORE in Lathrop and Manteca that carry an EXTENSIVE variety of CERTIFIED ORGANIC products! My family and I recently became aware of all the horrible toxic poison that the FDA allows into our foods and those foods cause many many horrible ailments. (I won't get on my NON-GMO foods bandwagon for this review). It's VERY difficult to find these items in the Central Valley at all let alone in ONE PLACE! Then Raley's goes a step further.....they not only have a massive variety of options to choose from but they also have MORE THAN ONE brand of those said items!! This makes this type of shopping MUCH more affordable than it can be at the other stores in the area. IF (and that's a big IF) the other stores do carry a certain product they almost always only have ONE brand option to choose from and you can imagine how expensive that can turn out to be. Yes...my shopping bill is pricier than it used to be but another amazing benefit from shopping at Raley's is the "Something Extra" Card. It's almost impossible to find vendor coupons on anything "ORGANIC" or "specialty" in nature and with the Something Extra Card the coupons I get are custom fit for our purchases....it's one of the BEST programs out there as of yet! As a Mom who has taken a stance on clean eating and giving my kids "safe and healthy" food choices I can't thank Raley's in Manteca enough for making this difficult to live by standard MUCH MUCH easier to do!!!! read more

I enjoy shopping here even though the prices are about nine percent more than Save Mart. The produce is always of high quality and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only gripe is a big one! The Seafood quality is an absolute joke! I've worked in almost every aspect of the Seafood industry and know good fish when I see it! The so called "fresh fish" is anything but fresh!! I've expressed my disappointment to them via email and through their on line customer survey with no avail! The only seafood that I feel safe purchasing from them is frozen or previously frozen. They should be ashamed of quality of the fresh fish they offer the consumer!!! " FRESH FISH DOESN'T SMELL!!" If it smells... it's too old! And should be tossed! I wonder if the clerks have control over what's good enough to sell, Or if they're forced the follow an expiration date protocol. I wish that I could find good fresh fish here!... But I'm forced to go to Costco if I want good fish in this area! F.Y.I. I bought the old fish in my pic's only to prove a point... And then returned it for a refund! The clerk seemed embarrassed of the quality. and gave me a refund with no problems. read more

This Raley's location is closest and even walking distance from our house. We go here for all our quick grocery needs. If only the prices were a little more competitive then we would shop here exclusively. The staff is so friendly and always in a good mood. I love how they have the self check out area too, so you can be in and out if you're in a hurry. Produce is always in good shape, and the Deli has yummy sandwiches!! Try the Santa Cruz!! If you all think this is some wonderful locally owned regional supermarket, well you never shopped at Wegmans based out of NY. Why the heck don't you have bulk rolls. No I don't want to buy that cheese type roll that sits in the donut case. I want a nice sandwich roll or Kaiser roll and no I don't want to buy a package of rolls because I only want 1 or 2 FRESH rolls. FYI the minute you put fresh baked rolls into plastic bags, you have ruined them. You ask a bakery worker for a roll, they send you to the deli where they have rolls for sandwiches, but seems ridiculous to take a number and wait to just get a fresh roll or two. Most other supermarkets have bulk rolls available throughout the day. Why can't your store? It continues to amaze what passes for quality or good customer service in California. Whoo hoo a grocery store near my place that has self checkout! Honestly that is about all it takes but this store has more than that. The store is always very clean. They have a great deli and bakery and the store is always stocked well and very maintained. the produce and meat sections are great and full of variety. The prices are competitive and like most grocery stores they have a card that provides discounts on certain items. You can find alot of bargains that way. The service has always been friendly when I have shopped there. I really have no complaints. The best thing is the self checkout. I like to get my stuff and go so that is the big thing for me. This is the best Raley's around! I live in Stockton and will drive all the way out here at least twice a week. The staff is always very helpful...but the biggest plus is that they have BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE, STRAUSS MILK, SIGGI'S YOGURT, THREE TWINS ICE CREAM, and a lot more stuff you can't find around here. Thank you Manteca Raley's for saving me the trips to Whole Foods in the Bay/Sacto area. The prices are a lot better than WF that's for sure. Extra stars for that! Raley's Bakery please be operational throughout the hours of business with at least 1 to 2 staff that could provide excellent customer service to customers that come late night for your delicious pastries. My experience at 8:40 PM on 8-20-17; mind you my boyfriend and I are regular customers that travels 4 miles for two small tarts. During the late night hours we usually find a manager that is more than happy to assist us. During this night there was a staff by the name of Kiana B. We asked for her assistance as she was behind The counter between deli and bakery. The first words that came out of her mouth were, "The bakery is closed by 8 o'clock; I only work deli there's nothing that I can do." I informed the staff a manager usually assist us during the late night hours as we are regulars for this particular pastry. Kiana proceeded toward another staff member constantly stating, "I only work in deli there's nothing I can do for them". The other staff member by the name of Cassidy assisted me further in completing my order of the two tarts. Cassidy stated, "I usually do not work in bakery, but I will figure it out". I thanked her for her prompt assistance. As I was receiving my tart my boyfriend decided that he wanted to check out the fruit salad, he figured since Kiana B. Only could handle deli he would be able to order some fruit salad. When he asked about the fruit salad he was told by Kiana B.,"It doesn't look good I wouldn't buy it." Now if that was the case, their own staff member wouldn't purchase their own product why would you have it on display? To top this whole experience off there was elder couple wanting to place an order for a cake, however they were told they had to come back to fill out the order form the next day due to bakery being closed. As for me, once again driving 4 miles to come to this store because they provide the best tarts I expect exceptional customer service. Coming from the Woodward area there are plenty of other stores I could have stopped at. What should've happened for the couple was the order form could've been submitted to the manager and the manager could have notified bakery maybe not that night but for sure the next day. Please train staff to handle all areas of the store at any hour and not make your customers feel as though they are an inconvenience. I love coming here because it's so organized and clean. It's all about quality not quantity. I love buying fried chicken there because it's so crispy. Their seafood salad is my favorite. If you're also looking for lei's for a special occasion like a graduation, this is a good place to get them. It only costs $25. read more

Organic foods (fresh and packaged), vegetarian and vegan friendly foods, quality produce and super nice staff. You feel very welcomed and comfortable when you go to this store. The prices are a bit on the steep side, but I still go for my specialty items and their baked goods. We've been coming here since November and this store consistently has bad and expired food (especially their organic selection). They have expired tortillas on the shelves that have mold growing on them. I talked to a cashier about it, went back a few days later and they were still in there! I've went to grab tortillas multiple times since then and there is always a few packs with mild visibly on them. (The raleys brand). I have returned mushroom that were slimy. Tomatoes that were rotten. My husband has lumpy milk that he returned. It's super frustrating just this is the store closest to us and we have consistently problems. I wish it was better. PLEASE raleys! Get a better system of checks and balances in place. read more

I love shopping at Raley's. It is sooooo clean and nice. About ninety percent of the staff is friendly and the other ten percent I just dont go through their line at checkout. I really like their lunch meats in the deli department but they have that stupid "pull-a-number" system which doesnt work well. Raleys has many specialty items and they also have a yummy Peets coffee inside, which is a PLUS in my book. They have Cerified Angus Meats in the meat department, never had a bad steak from there! This is my favorite grocery store in Manteca. The staff are friendly and the store clean. They have great produce and lots of organic. I am still trying to get used to the new arrangement (I really thought the old one was spot on). The prices used to be high on most foods, but have come down into the competitive range. Love their loyalty card. It is cool to get rewarded when buying the house brand and coupons to boot! read more

Friendly staff, clean store and almost all your needs as far as a grocery store is concerned! Their deli makes great sandwiches. They even have a place for nice flowers and to blow up balloons if you have a special holiday to celebrate and need last minute gifts! Their BEEF selection could be better, but it doesn't stop me coming there for everything else! ALSO a plus about this location: If you keep big water jugs inside your house (like the Alhambra ones) and you run out in between deliveries, there is a machine just outside of Raleys that offers 1 gallon of water for 30¢ or 5 gallons for $1.50! Wow! Everyone in this store is extremely nice and helpful. The week before Xmas, Dawn in the deli area went above and beyond for to secure a pre cooked Deistel turkey dinner when they got mixed information about availability from corporate. It was better than similar dinners purchased from Whole Foods. Great selection of wines and spirits. Fantastic deals on seasonal merchandise. Nice selection of organic produce and other whole foods/healthy foods. I still go to Costco for big shopping, but I just learned that the Manteca Costco has stopped stocking organic chicken, so it looks like I may be at Raley's even more. read more

I really enjoy this store. The people are all so friendly and it is always clean. Everything seems very organized. I have not experienced a moss marked item. The price it says is the price it is. Awesome liquor selection with sales almost every week. Bakery is a standard grocery store bakery. I would compare it to a safe way bakery. Tons of speciality items to chose from, even tho a little pricy, you can almost guarantee they have what you are looking for. Produce section is always beautiful! I cannot comment on the meat department or the floral department, I'm not familiar with them. Customer service is the main reason I keep coming back, almost every day. read more

This is a very friendly and efficient store all together, however, this review is specifically for the bakery. Raley's bakery has come through for me many many times for custom cakes. I'm admittedly a chronic procrastinator. On top of that I work nights and I often get my days jumbled up. I don't know how many times I have realized I need a cake the next day, usually a Saturday, and who comes through for me every single time? RALEY'S BAKERY IN MANTECA!! And, not just any cake. Beautiful, fun, delicious cakes either designed by the bakery with my input or cakes from the catalog that use a template. Everyone raves about the cakes I bring and no one is the wiser that I got it on such short notice. All the bakery staff I have encountered are very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you, for being a lifesaver Raley's Bakery staff and bakers! My advice is to not waste your time with other grocery store bakeries who are rude, unaccommodating, and act lime you are bothering them. I.e. S***W*Y. read more
