Falcone's Tavern - Fal Coney Foot Long

The hot dog and bun were good while the coney sauce could use more heat. The cheese and onion made the coney better. Service was good and ambiance better than you would expect at a neighborhood bar.

There is a top area that has some tables along the walls but I would describe it mostly as the "bar area" then there is a downstairs area with table seating. We preferred to sit in the downstairs area both times we were there. There are keno TVs for us to play our keno and it's not too noisy when it's busy. Our server the first time (I believe his name was Coby) was just a delight. I was debating on trying the chili cheese dog and he brought back a small sample of the chili for me to try before ordering and he was very sweet and enjoyable for the whole experience. Our server the second time, an older gentlemen, was less enjoyable but maybe he was having a bad day because he was a little busy. We loved playing our keno here and have had really good luck here. We agreed it was our new keno spot. Food: The first time dining, I tried the coney dog with cheese. The dog and the chili themselves were delicious. There was jus FAR too much bread. My partner got the philly cheesesteak and said that was the same case for her. We both had to pull off most of the bread. But the flavor was there on both dishes. A slightly smaller hoagie bun (or even steaming the buns to order) would really help these two dishes. The second time dining, I decided I was going to get the coney dog again but ask for a regular bun. I very much had a "3 bears" moment. The small bun got too soggy with the chili. SO, next time, I am going to get the half pound falconey with a regular bun AND light chili. That should be just right. LOL. My partner had the side salad this time and fired, She loved the fries just like last time and said the salad was basic but good. No sad lettuce or gross vegetables. I also had their chilled bottles of rootbeer both times with a shot of whiskey. Refreshing and delicious. We want to come in on a Sunday to try out the steak special.

I met a friend here for an early dinner and we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful when we asked her what her favorite burger was. I ended up getting the Southern Fizzle Burger and then upgraded the fries to the Mexican Street Fries. The burger was huge and I tried to eat like I normally would, but after about 3 bites, I realized that it was going to be a knife and fork situation. The egg on the burger caused the bottom bun to get a little soggy and made it too difficult to hold, but I'm not complaining about that. The burger was delicious and there were a lot of flavors going on there. The Mexican street fries were also fantastic and once again, after a few fries, I had to turn to using the fork instead of my fingers. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks refilled. The place has the feel of a mom and pop diner. It was too cold to sit on the patio, but that looked like it would be a nice option in the summer. I would gladly come back here and try some of the other burgers and I definitely want to try the flight of fries sometime.

Started off with cheese stix wrapped in wonton wrappers as well as toasted ravioli appetizer. Of the two, the cheese stock were the star! The Twix shake was swirled with chocolate and Caramel on top with Twix mixed in and Twix fun size on top. The menu featured a center flap of fizzle fries (fries with various topping). The chili cheese were the ones I tried and were good, but not my favorite. The staff were friendly and were well versed in the menu. The parking lot was filled which made the entrance a challenge to find.

That is because they are extremely freezer burnt. They keep them in their freezer if you don't believe me just go pull a box out of the freezer and smell the box of cleanwiches! I almost never leave bad reviews, but I had to for this. Those owners should be ashamed of themselves. How can you call it clean when it has a prop 65 cancer warning right on the box??? I looked at the ingredients and it has so many terrible chemicals I bought it assuming it was clean. My mistake but also not even edible!! TERRIBLE SMELL OF RANK FREEZER BURN! You can smell it without even opening the box. Just pull a box out of their freezer and smell it. Once u open an actual sandwich cookie plastic it's even worse!! & guess what? Really appreciate having this place close to the soccer fields by Football Hall of Fame, so I can feel like my kiddo is getting the right fuel in between games. We enjoyed our lunches. I had a make your own bowl and he had a flatbread. The vitamin enhanced the water/tea? was also tasty. And confess to finishing with a dark chocolate Buckeye. Yum! I hope they stay in business. Only one other customer inside at Noon on Saturday. They do meal prep too. Good concept, maybe not the best location?

Didn't get our food until almost 7 o'clock.. We didn't order anything crazy just a quesadilla and chicken tenders. Neither one of them had were very good. Also, the quesadilla was served in a plate where the quesadilla was just sitting in a pile of its own grease. It was pretty gross. And for some reason, I don't understand instead of seating us and everyone else on the side where the sun isn't glaring through their giant bay windows, they had everybody lined up in the window so they had to sit there and bake in the sun and be blinded the entire time they waited for their food. The prices seemed very reasonable. I'd like to give them another chance.

My parents were a little late arriving, so my son enjoyed playing in the little toy kitchen set-up they had in the corner. (He found dinosaurs in one of the containers, so he was in his element.) What a great distraction for the kiddos, along with coloring books and crayons. We all had dessert too and while I didn't get to try the baklava, I think among all of the others the limoncello was my favorite. Very cool ambiance. The flaming cheese was an "Opa" inducing spectacle for the whole restaurant to marvel. And it tasted great! As did the Athens fries (it's amazing what a little vinaigrette and feta can do)! The gyro also did not disappoint. My wife ordered a Turkey melt, which she thought was okay. I think the lesson is to order Mediterranean from a Mediterranean restaurant, and you won't be disappointed.
