Nothing wrong with a Dominican place cooking PR food but just make sure that its executed well. My son ordered baccalaito and was shocked by the presentation....it was inside a red sauce. Well this dish is normally made with fried cod fish fritters. I ordered alcapurria....0 flavor in the beef, had a weired rectangle shape and it was darkly burned. Which let us know that this restaurant owner doesnt care about the food quality. Thank god that I only ordered the alcapurria and not a full plate. Wont be returning!

Which were all denied out of being told they weren't offering any of those (sandwiches, salads) due to being too busy. Then were blindly charging an amount that does not match their online pricing. Even if they are not affiliated with DoorDash anymore for example, they should make sure it is completely removed and have an updated menu created if needed. If their prices have went up, it is at a restaurant rate when they are not a restaurant. When called out on this, the pricing was matched closer to what I manually tallied. I heard ownership has changed, making me question if that's why this experience took place vs very different experiences in the past. At that point, I used to constantly order lunch from here and do large catering orders for house parties of 50-80+ people. This created such a terrible taste, it will be the last time I order with them. I hope to see they do better and don't permanently ruin what was once so great. The food used to remind me of NY Bodega food. Now, no where near the same taste or quality. I'm so disappointed and upset I spent $$ on this.

Located in Decatur, Las Brasas…read moreserves traditional Peruvian cuisine and offers free parking plus a cozy outdoor patio-always a win. For starters, we ordered the yucca fries-perfectly crispy and served with huancaína sauce. We always ask for an extra yellow dip to go with them (not sure what it's called, but trust me, it's so good). For mains, we went with the Lomo Saltado and Pollo Frito. The Lomo Saltado is a classic beef tenderloin stir-fry with house fries, tomatoes, red onion, and aji panca, served over steamed rice with a side salad. The Pollo Frito comes with marinated 4-piece fried chicken, house-cut fries, aji limo hot honey, side salad, and fresh lime. I love that both entrées include a salad. Both dishes are consistently delicious and never disappoint. To end the meal, we shared the house flan, topped with crème de caramel and fresh whipped cream-absolutely amazing.

The only downside is the height of bar (edge) and chair height is not very comfortable gir people shorter in stature. Little changes to the menu but everything was just as great as i remembered. I ordered the friend rice with chicken and 1/2 rotisserie chicken with salad and potatoes. Forgot to take a picture of Thr chicken dinner. Looking forward to future visits.

Ordering is simple; you can order at the counter or use one of the kiosks. Once your food is ready, they bring it directly to your table. I also appreciated the self-serve stations for sauces, water, utensils, and to-go boxes. I'm usually not the biggest fan of Cuban cuisine, but was in the area and decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I ordered was better than expected. I went with the Combination Sampler, which is great if you want a little taste of everything. It came with a chicken empanada, papa rellena, fried yuca, ham croquettes, sweet plantains, and tostones. Overall, everything was prepared nicely. The only item I wasn't crazy about was the chicken empanada, which tasted a little plain and dry on its own. However, once paired with the sauces, it was much better. Speaking of sauces, they offer plenty of options at the sauce station. My favorite was the creamy cilantro sauce, which paired well with almost everything. They also had ketchup and mayo; perfect for dipping the crispy yuca fries. Along with a spicy sauce that definitely brought the heat. My go-to Cuban dish is usually a Cuban sandwich, but I didn't get a chance to try theirs this visit. Based on the rest of the meal, though, I'd definitely come back for it next time.

I was greeted with a smile and placed an order for an empanada combo. I tried beef, cheese and chicken empanadas. The beef was my favorite. But the others were delicious and my family loved them. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked. I wished I'd ordered more. The place is just so cute! They have a full variety of Cuban coffee and other sandwiches that I'll be back to try.

We didn't really need it since the restaurant was pretty empty, but we were a bigger group and didn't want to risk it. The hostess didn't confirm our reservation until about 10 mins prior, which was quite concerning, but everything worked out at the end anyway. Our server was wonderful! It was our first time here and he explained their background and what his favorites were on the menu. We for sure wanted to try the paella, so went ahead and ordered that first, with the carretillero ceviche, mixed empanadas (chicken and beef) and patatas bravos to start. The ceviche was delicious and fresh. Loved the fried calamari and all the toppings it was served with. The empanadas were also delicious and was served with a very spicy sauce! The patatas braves had a nice, smoky flavor. Now for entree, I ordered the veggie chaufa. Our server may have been a little biased as he preferred the Peruvian side of the menu, more so than the Cuban side. My dish was easily good for 2-3 people. It had tons of veggies and scrambled egg, plus served with a side of fried plantains. Our group ordered a bunch of other dishes and tried some of them. The churrasco steak was a little chewy but loved the chimichurri it was served with. The parrillada de mariscos was so good too, and my personal fave was the grilled octopus! Personally, I would opt for this instead of the valenciana paella. You essentially get the same types of seafood. I love that we got to dine at this hidden gem! We truly enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure.
