If you have done Pilates before you might like this studio but if you are a beginner they need to do a lot of work for new comers. Huge shoutout to Sal at the front desk -- genuinely welcoming, helpful, and the kind of energy that instantly elevates the experience. Customer service like that really sticks with you and honestly makes me want to come back. I took the hot HIIT class with Sidney and it delivered. Ambient lighting to start, then lights dimmed, music up, and suddenly it was go time. Great playlist, clear mic cues, and a seriously effective workout -- weights, core, warm-up, cool-down, the whole deal. Packed class but Sidney stayed very attentive, offering modifications, keeping everyone engaged, and bringing strong, motivating energy throughout. Only small note: shavasana felt a bit quick, but overall fantastic class. The studio itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- two large studio rooms, appreciate the mirrors to watch form, plenty of lockers and cubbies, multiple showers/restrooms, vanity areas, rental mats/towels (huge when traveling), tons of heated class options like yoga, yin, Pilates, barre, and HIIT, plus a separate red light therapy room that felt amazing afterward. I've actually never seen a studio that had mat drying racks out for everyone , nice touch . Friendly members, great retail selection (yes, I shopped), and booking through ClassPass made everything easy. Definitely a studio I'd return to.

Okay... I really wanted to love this. There's hype around Lagree, it took almost three weeks to get…read moreinto this class on ClassPass (higher points too), so my expectations were up there. Let's start with the positive: the instructor was genuinely kind and did everything right. Full walkthrough of the Lagree machine, adjustments, waiver, form corrections -- she checked on me constantly. Zero complaints about her professionalism. But overall? This just fell flat for me. The studio itself is extremely minimal. White walls, mirrors, eight machines lined up, very little décor. No real aesthetic or vibe. Even the music had to stay low because of neighbors, which kind of killed the energy for me. I personally thrive on louder music and ambiance in a workout setting. Now the workout itself -- Lagree is just not for me. My wrists were hurting, my feet were on fire, and I felt like I was doing 90% of the moves incorrectly despite adjustments. I didn't sweat once. I walked out feeling like I could immediately go run five miles or head to F45 to actually feel worked. And now my knee and feet are sore -- not the good "I crushed it" sore, but the uncomfortable kind. If you're looking for something slow, controlled, core-focused, or maybe even rehab-adjacent, this might be your jam. But if you're like me and need to feel that push, sweat, energy, and vibe -- this may not hit. Again, nothing was "wrong." It just wasn't for me. ClassPass convenience is appreciated -- but between the wait, the hype, and the experience... it was a meh overall.

I don't leave one-star reviews lightly--especially for a brand I genuinely enjoy--but this…read moreexperience felt surprisingly off-brand for Pure Barre. I booked a class directly through the website, which clearly guided me toward a "first class free" option. As someone who travels frequently and drops into studios across the country (often through ClassPass or direct booking), this is a pretty standard and welcoming entry point--so I went ahead and reserved a class. Shortly after, I received multiple texts that felt less like a confirmation and more like a sales qualification funnel--asking me to choose between options like committing to a membership, trying a short-term package, or just visiting. Once I indicated I was visiting, the tone shifted. I was then told the complimentary class is only for locals willing to sit through a membership presentation, and was redirected toward paid options instead. That's where the experience lost me. If the "free first class" is conditional, it should be clearly stated before booking--not after a reservation is made and followed by a string of sales-driven messages. As it stands, it comes across as a bait-and-switch. Even more disappointing was the lack of flexibility or hospitality for a very common customer type in boutique fitness: travelers. There was no attempt to accommodate, no "we'd still love to have you in," just a pivot to pricing. I want to be clear--this isn't a reflection of the Pure Barre brand as a whole. I've had consistently great experiences at other locations. But this particular interaction felt transactional, impersonal, and misaligned with the welcoming, community-driven environment the brand typically represents. I ended up canceling my class and booking elsewhere with zero issues . Here are the texts from Gabriella @ Pure Barre Goodyear.

I'm so glad that I bit the bullet by investing in the unlimited class pass because I've overcome all my doubts. I've taken over 20 classes now and can share that none of the classes have been the same. The movements are low impact so you won't find yourself sweating (unless you're taking a cardio class); however, you are still engaging all your muscle groups. Pilates is a great exercise to tone the body but if you are looking to actively lose weight, you may need to incorporate a difference work out into your routine. All of the instructors are extremely friendly and helpful so don't let being a "beginner" intimidate you (coming from someone who has major gym anxiety).

Fast forward, I originally signed up for Club Pilates Arrowhead around 2022 and 2023. I cancelled with the prior location because I just did not fit in. I was hesitant to try this location, but I am really glad I did because this experience is so much better! Between 2023 to 2025 I tried mat Pilates and Track Pilates, neither compares to reformer Pilates. I fell back in love with Pilates after my first class back last month, which was on a Sunday with Eda. The front desk person let Eda know I was new, but also a previous member. Reformer Pilates just hits different, the way the springs help you move the weight. I like how easy on the joints the classes are. I have attended about nine classes since my return, and I think I have used more of the equipment in this time than I did in my prior years. I am a Peloton Bike + user, so adding in Pilates let me ease back into strength training. The reformer allows me and my sore muscles to work through all the moves at my own pace. I really like the amount of stretching I get in- it makes me feel so much better. I have taken one class with Eda, Stacie, and Bridget and three with Michael and TJ. I was thinking I was in an advanced class during the first class I did with Michael, but nope- I am still taking level one classes! I think Michael's classes make me question things more, so that might be why I go on his days.
