Not impressed! After months of being enticed by sign for 'chicken pot pie' I finally ordered one. This is NOT a pot pie! More like chicken stew in a bread bowl, no flaky crust just soggy bread. I never yelp, but today I passed up a cup of chowder on the Vineyard for another menu item and decided I would get one from the Marsh for dinner because I was still craving it. It was the first time we have ordered from them. We had medium buffalo wings, very meaty and good flavor. The clam chowder was a real disappointment. Barely any flavor, very thick flour based soup. Love this place. It has really evolved since the days of Pizzings. The pizza is unique and tastes great. The wings are good, but the choice of sauces make them great. Beer selection is always diverse and full of local choices. Prices are reasonable. We will really enjoy going back to eat in person again when Covid is no longer a thing. read more

Honest review of the Marsh.... my husband and I have been here for dinner probably 4-5 times. We always sit at a high top in the bar area. We have personally never had a problem with service (although I know many people comment that they have). The pizza has always been good - we typically get the Bourbon Steak Pizza. The wings do not disappoint. Great selection of brews. That being said, if the bar is full it is unbearably loud. Last time we were in, there was a loud group of people and add that to the poor acoustics of the bar- it was pretty rough. My husband and I couldn't even engage in a conversation. read more

This place NEVER misses. Their food is delicious, from their Buffalo chicken dip to their caprese salad. I'd like to give it 3.5 but it's not an option... The good: -The expansion looks great. Much better than last space. The Maryland spice wings are so delicious! Other wings are great as well. -The pizza was great, other than not enough toppings (one tiny piece of meat per slice). Loved the crust. The not so good: -The bar room was so loud, we couldn't hear each other across the table. The bar area is tight, and it was painful to watch the wait staff try to squeeze by if someone was standing near the bar. -The salad came with no dressing. Someone should be checking the food before it goes out. Took 10 mins to get dressing. -The pizza came out close to 10 minutes before the wings. Again, kitchen should send out food for a ticket at the same time. The table behind us had their pizza out way before a burger surfaced. I saw the owner come out and give them a gift card for their trouble, which was nice. -Got the wrong kind of beer, took 10 mins to get someones attention to get it right Our server was fine, it mostly wasn't her fault, but someone needs to quality check the food before serving. If food is meant to come out separately, just set expectations on the menu. We will definitely order take out from here, but probably not go there unless it's a slow time. read more

My husband and I waited a bit before trying this new place after it opened. Long story short, we miss Pizzings. There is more seating but less booths and it just felt like a noisy cafeteria or food court. The staff seemed clueless and we had to wait ages for drink refills and side sauce they forgot to bring. I worked there as a bus boy. I would work 4-10 and at the end of the night I would get around 12$ in tips. One time I got 6$ in tips. Employees are cool as hell though. Place was never busy and you would be bored out of your mind. Don't recommend working as a bus boy here. Literally sweat shop money. read more

When it comes to pizza, I'm very high maintenance. I make my own and I study how the greats do it. This is excellent pizza. I've had it four times and three times it's been perfect. Once I ordered one moments after the place opened and I don't think the ovens had a chance to get fully up to speed and the crust was a little blonde. Cannot believe I didn't know about this place sooner! The margarita pizza is just like what I've had in Italy! The mozzarella is so fresh and the sauce is great and the crust is soft. We went to The Marsh for the first and last time. Had a similar experience when it was Pizzing's. Horrible service. Never to return. When we arrived (extended family of 6), the restaurant was about half full on a Saturday around lunch time. We ordered three pizza's, two salads and a children's mac & cheese. Very loud for only being half full. Very poor acoustics. Our drinks arrive and everything was fine. Next, two of the pizza are served. No sign of the salads or the children's meal. Them a few minutes later the third pizza arrived. We are told the other food would be right out. Well over 5 minutes pass and we ask where the rest of the food is. It finally is delivered. The mac & cheese is cold on top. We ask for a manager who comes out and is covered in flour. He barely apologizes and we return one of the salads (it was going to be eaten before the pizza). The pizza was just ok, the crust was tough, and the sauce was very bland. I had asked for 3 toppings on my pizza, very disappointed in how small of a quantity of individual tops were put on the pizza. The mac and cheese was made with a very large pasta, too large to be easily eaten by a 4 year old without having to cut it. Very odd choice for a children's meal. In the end the salad (we returned) and the mac & cheese was taken off the bill. However, our family all agreed it was an awful experience and none of us were ever going to return. About three years ago we had a similar experience at Pizzing's and never went back. read more

This is my second time reviewing The Marsh, I had originally posted a one star review about the pickup process but I took it down due to a positive experience on my next visit. However after making multiple different trips I have only had one successful pickup. It seems as though there is a disconnect between the hostess and the kitchen because the time given over the phone is rarely right. Apparently if you order wings they do not refer to them as bone-in or not. So if you order "chicken wings" expect to get chicken fingers. This happened to my stepdaughter and when she called to to replace the fingers with 6 chicken wings she spoke to manager, Damien, who pretty much berated her because she did not order correctly. Well one would think if you order chicken wings that is what you get. No worries though when she picked up the reorder Damien was sure to come right over, and in his condescending manner, gave her a tutorial on the Marsh's protocol on how to order wings in the future. I have only ordered takeout from this restaurant, but I've had great experiences! The hostesses are always so sweet and patient when things get hectic. You go girls! They have the best smiles, their kindness goes a long way! My family and I love the coal-fired pizza, it's some of the best we think! The classic pepperoni is always reliable, but I had never had chicken caesar pizza before ordering from here and now it's my favorite! We ordered a water when we first got there we had to ask them 3 times and after we got our food we got the water. When we ordered that they gave me a drink that i didn't order. On the pizza i ordered a Margarita pizza with pepperoni and the pepperoni was sharp and the cheese was spoiled. In the chicken wings there was a feather on the chicken. We ordered the food when we first got there because we knew what we wanted and my friends ordered a salad and after me and a few other people at the table finished she had to ask to have them give her the food she ordered. Clearly wait staff was trying to keep up with the crowd- but forget trying to get someone to change a channel to get the Bruins, ( I guess lots of Washington State Football fans?) Second hostess with the braces clearly confused as to her job We moved to the bar, and told too busy to change a tv to Bruins.
