Walked in, really warm and cozy. Instantly greeted, saw a fire place, sat opposite of it. Enjoyed the room, next to the bar, staff were very friendly, and art work on the walls were nice. Ordered two cocktails, black diamond (strong, put some hair on the chest, a slow sipper but good) and aqueduct racetrack - solid cocktail (wasn't my favorite but my partner enjoyed it so good). Ordered smoked clam dip, delicious. Thick sauce with clams in it. Maybe would have preferred a small fork instead of spoon to scoop out bits/clams. Sauce was thick enough I believe could have still scooped it up with and getting enough sauce with clams as well. Felt like a solo app that could be shared a little. Sauce on crackers were delicious. Fish and chips were phenomenal. Will say, had a little regrets after seeing previous fish and chips posted on yelp (not that that would have been bad but just the way menu described it made seem more epic). Was thoroughly surprised and pleased with what was present to me. Cod was cooked perfectly and the batter was delicious. The tartar sauce was a highlight. Could have had the fish without the sauce, signs of a perfectly fried fish, but the sauce enhanced it. Fries were delicious as well. Ok this place is so cute!!! It's inside an old house so it was quaint and cozy. Great idea to do I thought! The bloody Mary's were spot on. I tend not to like them and every time we go to brunch I order one hoping I'll like it. I did and ordered two! It was a win! You can add a mini beer for $2 so why not. I honestly thought my meal was too rich but if you like cambozola cheese then get this dish. I got the Croque Madame and I usually stick to what I know but I wanted to try something different. I still ate it all! My friend said the chicken and waffles were the best he ever had. Whoo-hoo! The brunch burger was great I had a bite and my husband enjoyed it very much. Seems like a friendly establishment. They have an outdoor heated area/beer garden. Arrived here around 11am without a reservation. We were told 30 mins but ended up waiting an hour+. I think it's better to underpromise and over-deliver instead because we would have gone elsewhere. I understand that restaurants don't always have a say when their guests finish their brunch, so I did try to overlook this. I really wanted to love the food but 1) The French toast was stale. I've never had stale French toast before but the bread was truly dry. The flavors were all there it was just the quality of the bread 2) The egg Benedict and Chicken and waffles were cold. When hollandaise/egg gets cold, it's really unappetizing 3) Not sure about the soggy texture of the gravy on the waffles. I personally think chicken and waffles should be crunchy, and gravy can be on the side 4) The Bloody Mary's were bitter I was told by the hostess that they would turn on the outdoor heater for us before we sat down. I've been meaning to stop by this cute "frozen" cocktail place for a couple years. On the side they have a banana stand window that always gets my attention when I pass by. I was disappointed that they didnt actually have frozen bananas and it was unclear if they actually have them at all. The menu was a little hipstery/foody for me with lots of odd spices and lavender in the food and drinks . This is a great spot for people in search of unique menu items. We ended up getting fries with aioli and Brussel sprouts with the 2 sauces (and nuts on the side). Both were very good as were our drinks. The children's menu was great and simple and the outdoor dining area was really fun and whimsical. Dogs are welcome outside and were given water bowls. What a cool restaurant in the heart of the cute Maple Leaf neighborhood! I have driven by here so many times and thought it was someone's house. It feels super cozy inside with lots of natural light and seating by the windows. The accoustics can be a little jarring when there's a loud group near the entrance, but I chose to sit far away from them and wasn't bothered by it in the opposite corner of the front room. The server was a sweet guy with a bright and fun personality, creating a good vibe for the brunch environment on a rainy weekend. I had the cauliflower and asparagus with poached eggs - perfectly poached eggs are so decadent on anything and this dish was a dream for this ova-lacta-pescatarian! I requested no bacon and that was no issue. My friend ordered the avocado toast and loved it as well. The coffee was good and the drink menu was inventive. They also know my friend (who lives in the neighborhood) on a first name basis, which only adds to the wonderful vibe here. Where we weren't too stoked on this place was mostly with the online ordering experience and the service that came with it. There were three of us, and although we ordered our meals within a couple minutes of one another, our food came out of the kitchen staggered over 20 minutes apart. After things were delivered, servers were hard to come by to request coffee refills, hot sauce, etc. I also ordered bacon under the "breakfast sides" menu, but instead of on the side my bacon came inside the croque madame. Still a go-to for brunch. A friend and I visited on a Saturday morning around 11am, and while the indoor tables were full, amazingly we were promptly seated outside. I still love their outdoor seating - heating lamps, covered tables, a spot with water, utensils, and bus tubs. We ordered on our phones with the QR code. Something new from when I was last here is when ordering on your phone, you can order your food, but your tab stays open. I imagine it can cause an issue for folks who may forget or not notice to close out. I found it convenient to order more drinks. The chicken waffle was a classic, solid option. The french toast was ideal since it wasn't too sweet, but probably not the best one I've had. The croque madame had a delicious bechamel sauce, but not the best I've had. I've been coming to The Maple over the last 3 years occasionally. I've always loved this place, but recently I have started to love it even more. This restaurant is in a cute little neighborhood in North Seattle (conveniently right next to my work) and they offer a good selection of food and drinks. They have a nice outdoor patio seating as well as indoor. During the covid pandemic it has been pretty hard to find restaurants that offer a good selection nd fast and efficient service. However The Maple offers both of those things! Their new food ordering system is one of the best I have seen yet. They are quick nd super easy. You can get yourself a meal and drinks and be out within 30 minutes if needed! I've had just about everything on their menu and its all delicious. I always get the chicken and waffles and it used to be one of the best in Seattle; now the waffle isn't crisp, the fried chicken is soggy, and the gravy is overly salty. My partner gets the two egg breakfast and that has also been hit or miss. This last time they brought out the wrong order of eggs and the potatoes were so salty that not even a quarter of it was eaten. On the positive side the wait staff has always been friendly and the vibe of the restaurant is nice. However, I probably wont be coming back unless I hear from someone else that the food has improved. I live in Maple Leaf and was just in dining tonight. I am constantly impressed by the food, the service, the atmosphere and the great customer service. Tonia (Tania) apologies for misspelling their name has gone above and beyond on service. It is hospitality like that that you can't teach the current generation of servers. Lauren, the manager was extremely nice and I'll be returning again and again. I highly recommend brunch, their steak, kafta chicken, clams, and burgers. Everything else is delicious as well. I wanted to try a new brunch spot, and noticed this place was super close to home. My friend and I came in at around 12:30 on a Sunday so given, there was a tiny wait. But they cleared a table and we were able to sit down pretty quickly. I had ordered a pint of mimosa which was only $7. If you live in Seattle, that's good. Normally that's a price for a flute, so the prices for drinks were definitely affordable. Our food came and the presentation was great. The only reason I'm docking one star is because both my friend and I felt like our food was a little under-seasoned, and even my dish was a little cold upon arrival.
