    Wi-Fi was nonexistent
    Tiffani T.

This only good thing I can say about this place is the location, snacks they provided and that they had the portable heater on when we arrived. Other than that this place is not great. The Wi-Fi barely worked to the point it pretty much was non-existent. The Roku tv didn't work at all so we weren't able to connect the entire time we were there. The beds were really loud and creaky and when we were trying to use the tub it didn't have a rubber stopper so we had to call the maintenance line which was not on site and seemed like they were outsourced. When I asked when the maid service would be able to bring the tub stopper, they said they left for the day which was 2:30pm. The maintenance person said for me to open another room and take the stopper out from there to use. I had to check two different rooms before finding one. Also, when I asked to have the tv fixed (see photo) they said they messaged the manager. The next day after it continued to not work I inquired again and they said the manager didn't have his phone on him so he must've not seen the request. The entire time we were there the tv never got fixed. They kept saying the surveillance cameras worked so they didn't know what was wrong. No one ever came to check the issue. Would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Decent lodging located a few minutes from Canyon lodge by car, and a few blocks away from a shuttle stop to the Village Gondola. I thought our rate was a little overpriced, but that is probably to be expected for a weekend. Rooms themselves provided all the basic needs and services, and check-in/out procedures were all pretty straightforward. Note: the parking instructions are not that clear. There are 2 parking spots in the back of the hotel, but only 1 belongs to the hotel. We were not sure which spot belonged to the hotel, and we guessed wrong since someone knocked on our door at night asking to move out of their spot. It was also not clear that the path directly in front of the entrance is a parking spot.

This place was awesom!!! The cleanest and best smelling COZY inn ever. The room was cozy and cute. The snacks/breakfast provided was a great cherry on top. Definitely reccomend this place and I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you to this establishment.

Awesome view and super cozy. Great location as it's right off the main road. Just cross the street and you can ride the shuttle bus free. Walking distance to restaurants. Will definitely come back.

If you have a reservation then you are in luck with a guaranteed parking spot right next to Main Lift. Just pull in and let the parking attendant know you have a reservation and they'll confirm. MMI is quite outdated for being quite expensive and right next to the Lift. Check in was at 4pm but we weren't able to get a room until 530pm which sucks b/c after a long day on the slopes you want to shower and relax. They did give us two free drink vouchers but neither of us really drinks. Not a bad place to stay if you don't care for the motel 6 vibes.

DONT DO IT, just DONt!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. The hotel manager made up lies to hotels.com when I complained about the room. Ohhh and the room was disgusting. Don't do it. $200 wasted with no refund. The room was filthy, bed bugs, pubic hair and just trash everywhere. The manger then tried to tell me "there are no bed bugs in mammoth lakes". Wtf? The person is full of Sh*t.

Trash on the ground outside our window, but it's all around the building and down the street.

We were in Room 5. The room is clean, but it has no chairs or a table. The only place to sit and eat any food brought in is on the bed. The neighborhood is filthy! The view out our window is of trash on the ground

Great location , Clean rooms , comfortable beds. Appreciated the easy self checkin and parking. There really is NO breakfast though , they put a few snack items in the mini fridge. There is a Keurig like coffee "station" but no coffee cups. No one on site to ask for some. Would recommend if you are just looking for a quaint little inn but not if you are looking for a B&B as advertised.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GOD AWFUL INN. My check in was at 3 and the cleaning lady was still cleaning at 3:15. This looks like a creepy hostel. I pulled down the bed covers and there pubic hairs and what seems to be bed bugs. I have a 2 year old who k refuse to let sleep in this place. The owner was a complete jerk and refused to give us a refund but offered a room upgrade. No way will I step foot there again. Stay away

Stayed 1 night, January 2-3, 2016 Room #2 I booked this place off Airbnb. We paid $168 total with tax. We got a room with a king bed, we requested a roll away, bathroom had a spa Jacuzzi and a separate stand up shower. We checked in Saturday afternoon. We saw no staff the entire time we were there. Checking in consisted of us picking up an envelope with my name on it and the key was in it, with instructions to fill out a form, and leave key at counter when we check out. The room: pretty bare. Rack on the side had an extra blanket and some towels. We were definitely short towels, but we had brought our own, so that worked out. Also, a few of the outlets went out when I was blow drying my hair, which meant the TV didn't work, and the heater had to be moved to another outlet. I tried calling the number listed for here, but got transferred to Malibu Motel. I told the lady about the outlets, and she said she'd get in contact with the owner and call back. She called back an hour later, and she said the owner wasn't going to be back till almost midnight, and that we could switch to room #4. Well we were too lazy to switch so we just dealt with it and worked around the nonworking outlets. We utilized the Jacuzzi, it fit 3 of us! After we filled the tub though, and we hopped in the shower afterwards, there was no more hot water, so we all had to take cold showers. Breakfast: self serve. They had bagels & cream cheese, waffles, OJ, milk, and yogurt in the fridge. Oranges and bananas in the fruit basket, and condiments on the table. One thing they were missing was butter. I thought this place was really cute! I mean, we definitely encountered some problems, but it's livable. But the previous night we had camped in 12 degree weather, so this bed and breakfast was luxurious to us lol. Also, it's walking distance to The Loco Frijole, which we had dinner there. Nice short walk! We also walked to the main street and went sledding close by

I came in here around 11am, however, their restaurant doesn't open until noon. There is a really nice lounge area where there are two fireplaces, jazz playing and a really cozy space to just relax. I just came here both days resting between XC sessions, ate some lunch I brought, had some water and just chilled out. Id definitely love to return and have a cocktail here and hang out here with a special someone, flirting the night away, plotting some clandestine tryst (maybe a beautiful hike into the mountains behind - looking at stars, listening for wild animals) and deeply enjoying life, big grins, and making each day count. Id also consider staying here on my next return, the surrounding area is just gorgeous!

We stayed in a cabin and it was fantastic. We had a deck overlooking Twin Lakes and the cliffs above, a kitchen where we cooked one night (who wants to leave heaven?), a fireplace, and was totally clean. The only downside and definitely a star deduction was perhaps it was too clean and smelled strongly of cleaning solution. We left open all the window and turned up the heat at night and turned on all the fans when we left for the day and by the second day, it was tolerable. Continental breakfast was fine with hard boiled eggs and yogurt for protein and cream cheese and peanut butter and all the toastable carbs. We loved our hikes and I loved kayaking on Twin Lakes. It's a perfect one-hour paddle and so peaceful up at the waterfall.

Convict Lake and Mammoth Lakes were on my bucket list for so many years. Living in the Bay Area means it's a rough 5-6 hours of driving through windy mountainous roads. Thus, we wanted to pick a place to stay that could provide us the comfort of home we needed. And Convict Lake Resort delivered! From the booking process to checking in and later checking out, everything was a breeze! We received emails reminder from staff detailing easy steps needed to check in. When it looked like we might arrive late, they promptly sent us instructions for self check in. Luckily we arrived on time before the gift shop close. Each cabin has 1 parking spot for your car. However, there are many parking spaces within walking distance to your cabin if you and your party happen to have more than 1 car. As soon as we opened the door into our cabin, our stress and exhaustion of the long drive melted away! We love the high vaulted ceiling, the warm woody interior and how spacious and clean the inside of our cabin was! It was so welcoming and smells so good! You could tell that the staff did a wonderful job cleaning and preparing for your stay! Thank you ! The kitchen area was another highlights of the cabin! It was big with full amenities! We used it so many times during our stay to cook our meals and everything in between! Microwaves, fridges, freezer, chopping board, plate wares, forks and spoons, etc. You name it, they have it! There's a door by the kitchen area which gave you access to the mini wood behind your cabin. We once spotted some deers here during twilight times . And the BATHROOM!!! We LOVE IT!! Super spacious with nice rain-forest shower head! After a long day being active outside like hiking, kayaking and other stuff, we came home to the cabin, hopped into the shower and let all our fatigue washed away! I swear this shower had some acupuncture magic as it soothed my tired body so well! The sliding door to the bathroom was so modern and chic itself. We love the tiny windows looking out to the wood beside our cabin. We joked to each other that "Number 2 with a great view !" Not only the inside was amazing, the outside porch area with the gas grill was another bonus! Never had we ever seen such a clean grill like this! Kudos again to the staff ! We utilized the grill many times during our visits and enjoyed a dinner or breakfast outdoor with our pup :) And first time in our life, we saw such a dog friendly place! Every cabin seemed to have at least one dog. My puppy Butter had such a wonderful socializing with all his furry friends and neighbors. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the resort on the lovely trails surrounding the resort and looked at all the amazing mountains. Convict Lake Resort is just 10 minutes of walking and 5 minutes of driving from Convict Lake. Location! Location! Location!! There's a lovely restaurant onsite that I'll review in details in another review :) Overall, AMAZING place and words cannot describe how satisfied we were! We'll definitely come back and recommend this place with all our family and friends :)

The bathrooms are standing showers (no tubs). I always wish there was a handheld wand/hose instead of the spigot that just rains on you. Maybe consider bringing one of those handhelds too?

I…read moremean, if you're a skiier, you probably already know about it, but in the off season (before the snows), you can get a room for a low rate, and still have the whole of Mammoth Lakes at your doorstep to explore! Tons of shops, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, etc. await! For amenities, Juniper Springs Resort boasts a pool, an exercise room, a jacuzzi, and beautiful lounging areas. The rooms all have small balconies where you can get some fresh air and admire the scenery. And (we learned mid-trip) the resort is one of four regular stops for the local free shuttle/trolley that comes by every 30 minutes or so and is free to use. On top of that, the resort is adjacent to one of Mammoth Lakes' many ski lifts, so at least some of the runs are available literally right at your doorstep. The room we rented was comfortable and spacious, with a full kitchen, nice comfy living room with gas fireplace, and a separate bedroom, and there were TVs in both rooms. Parking, by the way, is underground, which is assuredly a huge perk during the winter snows. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely consider staying there again. Couple of things they could have done better: 1. Guests should be made aware at check-in of the availability of the shuttle/trolley. My sweetheart was stuck at the hotel for a day until we figured this out for ourselves, as even when asked about Uber/Lyft, the front desk never mentioned the shuttle. 2. The ice machine on the 4th floor was perpetually empty. Not sure if it was just being regularly raided by other guests, or if it was in need of service. 3. A blender we attempted to use (provided as one of the in-room amenities) leaked its contents out through the bottom seal like a seive. When I disassembled it to check the gasket, I found black mold. The front desk was unable to help, but offered to remove it for us. 4. The televisions in the room were not "smart" in the sense that we could not "cast" to them from our phones. We do this a lot, so it's not a user error thing. Just beware you will be limited to whatever viewing options the TV/cable service provides. PRO TIP 1: Hinging off of #3 above, the rooms in the resort are potentially privately owned. Apparently ours was, and was rented out as a sort of Air-BnB. This was the reason the hotel couldn't help with the blender, as it is not an item the resort provides, but was provided by the owner. PRO TIP 2: BEWARE THE ELEVATOR DOORS! They close VERY quickly after opening, and we were struck by them several times. Open the door, stick your hand in, and once everyone has gone in or out, then remove your hand. I'll end with a funny/silly observation. In the elevators was posted a list of the hotel regulations, among which were the parking requirements. The advisement ended with a warning that vehicles parked inappropriately, and not corrected within 24 hours, would have a "boot" affixed to their vehicle. In a nutshell, if your vehicle is parked in such a way that it is causing a problem, their "fix" will be to make that situation permanent. Totally makes sense.

The location is excellent -- less than a 5-minute walk to the gondola. They also offer ski valet right in the lobby, which makes the walk even shorter. Huge plus: boot dryers. Check-in was super easy, and we upgraded our room to one of their "condos." Just to set expectations: this isn't a full condo. It's essentially a hotel room with a small living area and a Murphy bed. Still comfortable and totally fine for what we needed. The best part of this hotel is that it's dog-friendly -- and truly dog-friendly. Any size dog, big or small, and there were dogs everywhere (including ours). There's a forested area behind the hotel that's perfect for letting your pup play in the snow. One downside: some guests don't pick up after their dogs, so there was dog poop around even though the hotel provides bag dispensers. Maybe adding more (or enforcing cleanup) would help. The price is good, the hotel is clean, but it is old -- very old -- and definitely showing its age. The hallway floors are uneven, the elevator makes some questionable noises, and nothing about it feels modern. That said, after skiing all day, the four hot tubs and heated pool are amazing and very much appreciated. I stay here for convenience, not luxury. The beds are comfortable, towels are clean, and that's honestly all we need. Plus, it's close to The Yodler, our favorite restaurant. Nothing felt refreshed or well cared for, which is unacceptable at this price point. Breakfast was equally terrible. The food was cold, the omelet was tough and rubbery, and overall the quality was far below expectations--borderline inedible. Between the noise, lack of cleanliness, outdated rooms, and overpriced rates, this place is absolutely not worth the money.
