Our experience with Progress Residential has been incredibly frustrating. We have been actively…read moretrying to resolve our rent payment, but instead of receiving help, we have been met with poor communication and little to no response. After we were locked out of the online payment portal, we did exactly what we were instructed to do and mailed a cashier's, to the address provided. Since then, we have made repeated attempts to confirm whether the payment was received. We have sent multiple emails, made phone calls, and reached out in every way we could, yet we have received little to no communication in return. While we were waiting for our payment to be located and processed, an eviction case was filed against us. It is incredibly discouraging to be making every effort to pay and resolve the situation while being ignored. No one has been able to tell us where our payment is, when it will be posted, or provide any meaningful update. No customer should have to chase a company just to confirm receipt of a cashier's check. We understand financial obligations, and we have been doing everything we can to fulfill ours. What has made this experience so upsetting is not simply the payment issue, but the complete lack of communication, follow-up, and customer service. If you rent through Progress Residential, be prepared for significant challenges if anything goes wrong with your account. Based on our experience, getting timely assistance and clear communication has been extremely difficult.

Guess what, the sprinkler system doesn't work. Filed a ticket, claimed someone came by and the sprinkler system was never repaired. We had Ants, and the rental agency stated, " That's your problem, deal with it", even though the City of Surprise states in their laws that rental agencies are responsible for pest control, and it took a threat to sue to get someone to take care of it. Next up, dishwasher wouldn't clean or dry, and according to the leasing agency, that is considered "workable", although the law states workable means it does the job it is designed to do. Filed a Protected Notice of Breach of Lease and threats of rent withholding finally got them to replace a dishwasher that was too old. We had smoke detectors that were beeping at random, took them in total 3 MONTHS to replace, dragging their feet, in clear violation of the law that states in Arizona Landlords have to make sure the dwelling is safe. Guess what, I sent another BREACH OF LEASE NOTICE. They finally replaced all the smoke detectors with new ones, and the maintenance guy stated that was what they should have done in the first place. 5 days later: MY LEASE IS NOT RENEWED! That is Retaliation and the law sees it that way. This place puts itself above the law, lets you die in case of a fire because they're too cheap to replace faulty smoke detectors. This place needs to lose its license and closed down; they are a DANGER TO SOCIETY.
