the vibe and food is good. Typical hang put place not a fancy restaurant. the drink was sweet , dessert was awesome. there was music on Saturday evening which was good..more older crowd.

80s music. Wings and good friend.. all I needed for good Friday night. Loved trying the new cocktails on the season menu. I highly recommend trying before it goes away. The Olde Mill and the Chai Cantina The wings are cooked to perfection Garlic Parmesan and sweet chilli I always order my wings naked then dip them into the sauce. Also tried Mom's chili and it was so delicious. The French fries also a hit! Loved the live music . Over all great spot. Amazing staff as well.

We made a follow up visit to The Main Pub in Manchester, CT,. We had the pleasure of sampling a few dishes: the spinach and artichoke dip, fish and chips, and the blackened chicken Caesar salad. The spinach and artichoke dip, without a doubt, stole the show--it's the best we've ever tasted, creamy and packed with flavor. The fish and chips were equally delightful, offering a generous portion at a great price, with a crispy exterior and flavorful fish that hit all the right notes. The only hiccup was the blackened chicken Caesar salad--the chicken itself was unfortunately on the dry side, which detracted a bit from an otherwise enjoyable dish. However, the attentive service more than made up for it, with our server ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, we're rating this experience a solid 7.5/10 and still happily recommend The Main Pub to others. It's worth revisiting for the inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and menu standouts like that incredible spinach and artichoke dip. Give it a try--you might just find your new favorite go-to spot! We wanted to beat the heat (and wait out automotive service) so we sought out brewpubs. We had driven past a few times, but it was calling... The air was cool, the interior cozy, the atmosphere lovely (great tunes). A nice beer collection served up Counter Weight "Precious Petals" (yummy) and Bell's Two Hearted Ale, both of which were tasty. Son has been channeling Harry Potter and made the OG Hamburger disappear (Look, Ma, no wand!") with massive fries. My Ranchero Burger (BBQ enhanced) was superb. The BLT was great, but more than enough for slim esposa. We joined the loyalty program, and shall return!

Nice, large patio area.

First visit. Excellent. Big, easy parking lot. Large outdoor patio with many flowers. Indoor tables nicely separated. Best fish sandwich I've had for quite a while. Manager said they do a lot of fish in sandwiches, tacos, on salads etc and they get whole fish every day which they process on site. Worth the trip!

Loved EVERYTHING about this place. Number one being how extremely clean it is.. how calm and beautiful it is. The decor is gorgeous. The staff is the SWEETEST and so attentive. Prices are great! The portions are perfect. The food was actually VERY delicious.. my favorite today was definitely the artichoke dip, it was crispy on top and creamy. My favorite artichoke dip will always be from here now. Also.. those pub fries!!! Wow! Also had their signature dry rub wings.. loved those too! Can't wait to try more of their foods!!

I had lunch today at the main pub with my daughter and her in-laws. It was a delicious meal. The outstanding part was the honey mustard, aïoli sauce that we dipped our french fries in. Delicious I had a Long Island iced tea. That was very good. The second one was much stronger than the first and then I had a chicken sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. Delicious. The french fries were very good as well. I loved sitting at the bar. It was a great vibe.

1st time here, and it was nice to see some different things on the menu vs the same ole stuff. We both decided on the fish tacos & each added a side to split of coleslaw & pub fries. It was a cold rainy day & the very strong coffee we ordered hit the spot. (not for the weak at heart) The pub fries were good, not the thick steak fries you would expect, & the coleslaw eas decent. It seemed to be a mix.. I don't like sweet coleslaw made w/ dressing, I'm more of a savory girl, but this did have sugar in it. Next time, I would opt for the fish & chips over the tacos because they were VERY MESSY! It was nice that they lightly toasted tortilla, filled w/ coleslaw at the bottom, a thick chunk of Avocado and the sauce on top made it very sloppy, too sloppy for public. The staff was very pleasant & the food came quickly. We even got an endorsement from a regular who couldnt say enough good things about the establishment. We opted to try a berry tart for dessert and it was gooood .

Always a delicious meal at Main Pub. This was my first time having the Reuben kegs. Basically Tator tots stuffed with rice beef and cheese. They were delicious. The cob salad was prepared beautifully and all the ingredients were fresh. We also had the giant pretzel which was a tasty bar staple. Our staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The volume inside didn't feel too loud to be able to hold a conversation but also wasn't too quiet.

I'm back! I love this place! It's quiet here ) it's only a Tuesday) but we're late (arrived at 9:15…read morePM). There is no shortage of decor here! I like the huge carafe of ice water and the spicy potato chips! For my first drink, I'm having a Negroni. A negroni is an Italian cocktail, made of equal parts gin, vermouth rosso (red, semi-sweet), and Campari, generally served with ice, and commonly garnished with an orange slice or orange peel. It is considered an apéritif. They also have an Obi Wan Negroni made with Cold Brew Infused Campari instead. For my first food item, I'm having the Cream of Mushroom soup with chicken. Cream of mushroom soup is a simple type of soup where a basic roux is thinned with creamor milk and then mushrooms or mushroom brothare added. This is delicious! It's nice and hot with a lot of shredded chicken. For my entree, I'm having the Brussels Sprout Salad made with shaved Brussels sprouts, spring mix, bacon, pomegranate drizzle, silvered almonds, shaved Parmesan and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Look at the height of this! This tastes great! I am also having a side of mushy peas. Mushy peas are a traditional British side dish of marrowfat peas that are cooked until soft and mashed into a mush. The dish is especially popular in Northern England and the Midlands, and often eaten with fish and chips or served as part of "pie and peas". Here's a quick overview of mushy peas: Ingredients** Traditionally made with dried marrowfat peas, but can be substituted with frozen peas or green split peas. I love this! It's nice and hot.,What a rare treat! This is hard to find anywhere! I'm also having a side of cold slaw. Coleslaw, or "slaw" in North America, is a side dish of shredded cabbage with a vinaigrette or mayo-based dressing. The word "coleslaw" comes from the Dutch term koolsla, meaning "cabbage salad". Recipes vary by region and can include additional ingredients like carrots, apples, raisins, or celery. Coleslaw originated in the Netherlands in the 18th century, but references to similar cabbage salads appear in ancient Greek and Roman medical texts. This is the best! Nice, thick dressing! For my last drink, I'm having a Godfather. The Godfather is a sweet and strong cocktail that blends Scotch whisky and amaretto liqueur. It's typically served in an old-fashioned glass over ice and can be garnished with an orange twist. The drink became popular in the 1970s disco scene and is named after the 1972 film starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Some say bartender Joe Scialom created the Godfather to capture the movie's spirit. This is done just right! Good job! What a great meal here!

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right downtown Manchester on Main Street is this gem where Lucky Taco once stood. It echoes the standard British pubs and taverns from across the pond with deep yellow lighting, woods, exposed brick walls and open floorplan kind of vibe. It was lively, energetic and welcoming! Service: Lara took excellent care of us and she was very helpful! I had no issues at all. Food/Drinks: On the table when we arrived was an Irn Bru which is a SUPER popular drink sold in Scotland, often beating Coca-Cola in sales. It tasted like orange licorice, but it was actually pretty decent. Our first appetizer was an order of Crisps which were like thick cut potato chips with some garlic parmesan seasonings which I actually enjoyed! There was plenty of flavor from each component involved. Next up was the 007 which was their spin on the martini James Bond orders! In it is Wheatley Vodka, Bombay Gin, and English Tea Infused Lillet Blanc. It tasted like a dirty martini and was pretty strong! Smooth as well. I enjoyed it. Next up was a dish called Toad In The Hole which is Yorkshire pudding stuffed with smoked sausage then topped with caramelized onions and gravy. I have never seen anything like this before, but it was so strange, but pretty decent! The Yorkshire pudding was a bit eggy and dense. The gravy was a must though, since the other components of the dish lacked the salt that I was seeking. Next up was the Cloth Of Gold Old which is an Old Fashion with a twist which contained Old Forester, fresh lemon and honey. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure why the mention of Old Fashion was on the menu unless this is supposed to differ from an "Old Fashioned". No matter, moving on. Next up were the Potato Pom Pom which are fired potato balls served with a house-made cheddar cheese sauce. It sounds like a simple dish. The cheese was thick, majorly cheddar-y. I really, really liked these! They tasted like a fancy tater tot. The potato inside was so soft and tender and the exterior was so crispy. My last drink of the night was the Bramble On Rose which is their take on a 1980's classic created in Soho, London. In it is Bombay Gin, fresh lemon, rose water and blackberry syrup. This was my favorite drink of the night. It was fresh, had some herbal flavors and the rose flavor made itself known. I really, really liked this drink and would certainly order it again. Lastly, the quintessential Fish & Chips! It's Atlantic cod in a brown ale batter, served with musky peas, chips, tartar sauce and a curry sauce. The curry sauce was surprisingly fantastic. I was blown away and absolutely needed more of it. The mushy peas resembled guacamole, but I had no idea how I was supposed to eat them. Lol. Were they a sauce? I don't know, but they tasted exactly how you'd think they'd taste. The fish was also fantastic. It was light, yet greasy and crispy. Value: The most expensive thing on the menu is $22.00. This place is not expensive at all so you certainly won't break the bank. Portions are decent size too. In conclusion, I absolutely enjoyed myself here and highly recommend you (reading this) to check it out! British food is... unpredictable if I must throw a word on it. Lol. Like, I almost couldn't predict what some of this stuff would taste like because I had never had anything like it before! Now, I'm a believer!

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars
