Counter/ordering area with lunchbox decor.

Fresh ingredients, great desserts, cute decor. The proprietor helped me avoid the foods I couldn't eat because of allergies. Nice serving sizes. It's small so maybe avoid peak lunch times. Open until 3 p.m.

Today's Special. Boom Boom Shrimp Wrap.

Great Localy owned Breakfast and Lunch spot. I had Today's Special which was the Boom Boom Shrimp Wrap. There was definitely some Boom to it. You got the nice Sweet 1st then the Boom. It came with a fresh side or chips. I got the Chips but the fresh sides included Coleslaw, pasta salad, and potato salad which all look good. Wife got the 1/2 Sandwich and Broccoli and Cheese Soup and both were good. We also got a Oreo Smash dessert. And well definitely pick out one of her homemade desserts for a treat.

I've heard great things about TLD for a while now, especially for their custom cakes. And while I still haven't had the chance to try that, was nearby and decided to finally pop in. It was just a bit after 10am, and I was celebrating having dropped my last one to start school off at preschool! Ah, so many freed up hours of alone time to try all the places and do all the things. Just kidding, so many hours I can now actually focus on my job. But today I took a detour and started late to celebrate (and because I was running an errand after drop off, but that sounds more lame). TLD is in a strip with a gas station, so doesn't give the idea of a great place, but get past that. The decor is cute and welcoming, and the woman working today (owner?) was friendly and moved at a quick pace. She welcomed me, asked if I knew what I wanted and then if I'd been before. She let me know that they had the pastries in the case or bagel sandwiches, and lunch would start being served at 10:30. I chose an everything bagel with ham and cheese, and it had a good amount of each on a chewy bagel. It was under $4 so priced fair. I also ordered a coffee, which they offer with a multitude of syrups, but I added cream only. It was hot and fresh. I took a few treats home, three cake pops (for kids) and a banana pudding (for me), all of which were very good and worth the splurge. Another person entered while she was helping me, and started to look at the menu, but was told that not everything there was available. She gave her the same options as me, but added in a grits casserole (that she either forgot to mention to me or I didn't hear). I wish I had known that option and definitely would have tried it. I'll be back to try lunch, and just wish breakfast had more options.

Went in today and had the gourmet chicken salad, and I was super excited to try it. It was good, not amazing. I hadn't been in this deli in years, so I asked a few questions about things (while I was the only person in the place) and the owner came off a little rude, as if I was annoying her. The last thing I want is to go in a privately owned business, that I want to support, and feel like I'm bothering someone by asking a few simple questions. I got the raspberry mint tea and all I taste is mint, so I don't like that, and my sandwich had a pickle with it that looks very old, smushed and small, so that's something going right in the trash. The whole experience wasn't great, I doubt I'll be going back.

I think it's pretty safe to say that if there was ever a contest for the "chain restaurant capital of America," Orange Park, Florida (or even Jacksonville as a whole) would be an easy frontrunner. Low quality, flavorless food chains offering sub-par (or worse) service seem to be in high abundance. So when I moved here, it was complete culture shock...where i come from (Hawaii), it's the exact opposite. Chain establishments are often shunned by locals (there's only ONE Popeyes, ONE Wendy's ONE Dunkin Donuts...or used to be, I think it's gone now) in favor of the mom and pop run establishments. They just offer fresher, high quality food, and they are grateful for your business and SHOW it. Major difference. However, once in a while i stumble across a hidden gem in this large city, one I've driven past 100 times and never looked twice at. Well that was my mistake, because turns out I've been missing out on some really great food! The Lunchbox Deli, Yeeps. Orange Park area, across from the hospital. It's kinda hidden by the gas station, so you gotta slow down a little or you'll pass it. Small joint, but very clean and charming on the inside. They also have outside seating if you prefer. Behind the counter you will see every baking accessory known to man (kitchenaid stand mixers, dozens of different baking pans, kitchen tools I've never seen before, etc.), which is GOOD, because that's a clear indication that most, if not everything, is made in-house. I learned that this is a family-owned, local business, so that's a bonus for me. Food: The menu isn't overbearingly extensive, yet pretty much covers all the bases. They have a breakfast and lunch menu...with a vast array of items to satisfy both veg-os (I mean...vegetarians) and carnivores alike. I was there for breakfast, and upon thorough examination, one menu item in particular said "Pick me! Pick meeee!" The corned beef bagel sandwich. Fresh in-house corned beef and bubbly melted swiss on your choice of toasted bagel. I went with the asiago cheese. While I was waiting, i canvassed the dessert case, which held, at the minimum, a dozen different flavors of home-made cake pops. The cinnamon bread pudding loaf looked equally inviting, especially when I learned that it is served with a caramel dipping sauce. I know, right? The bagel sandwich was even better than I expected. The freshness of the meat really came through and paired exceptionally well with both bagel and melted cheese. Loved it, want another, and soon. Wrap Up: I believe it would benefit both parties greatly if you would give this joint a visit. The owner also informed me that they make cakes for special occasions and cater. Demitri (the kid in the family-owned business) was also very friendly, so shout out to you!

Lemon blueberry cake!

Finally got a chance to come today. The owner and chef/baker is so nice and talented! We enjoyed delicious soup sandwiches and chicken salad. Not to mention the dessert!! Cinnabon bread pudding and an amazing lemon blueberry cake! For sure will be a lunch stop from now on!!!!

Red Velvet custom cake made for my daughter's baby shower was absolutely delicious.

Chicken salad is so good! And the cake she made for my daughter's baby shower was absolutely beautiful, and delicious.

Chicken salad sandwich

The rudest service ever. Went there for lunch carry out for my coworkers and me. The lady, who is the owner, is so rude and unprofessional. Upon checking out, there was a misunderstanding with whose sandwich belonged to whom. She decides in a room full of people to announce that because I couldn't figure out whose sandwich belonged to whom, that she had to redo the whole order. This is not true she called out my coworkers name and I gave her the card. It turned out to be the wrong name. Written on the side of the bag was the wrong name as well . You do not spell CheRie like Shaneese. We have gone several times and like the food. But, if you are that busy get help Treat your Customer's with respect. We won't be going back. I can get a blt at Grumpys and they are soo nice there

Greek salad served with rotten iceberg lettuce and a piece of onion skin.
Pam D.

Awful- for almost $11 I was served a Greek salad with rotten lettuce, and onion skin, and one tiny scoop of chicken salad. The salad was undersized and the meal was underwhelming.

Cranberry chicken salad....delish!!!

In addition to their own offerings, they also allow you to make your own creation by choosing the cake type and frosting flavor. Last nights choices were Red Velvet, Cookies N Cream, Chocolate Heaven, Blondest Blonde and a Churro Creation. We got Red Velvet, Chocolate Heaven and Blondest Blonde...so here's the thing - they were all good, but there was nothing special about them. Honestly could have made them at home using a box so that was a bit disappointing. Tiffylee was on the truck and was super nice and like I mentioned, fun selections so if you want something sweet and don't want to bake it, this is a perfect solution.

This was my first time getting cake/cupcakes from a dessert truck as before it's only been popsicles. Their menu gives lots of options and I'm pretty sure their most popular would be the build-your-own cupcake in a cup. Two layers of cake and two layers of frosting? Pretty cool. I didn't go for this option though as a menu item had already caught my eye, the Breakfast in a Cup cupcake: Blueberry cake with layers of maple buttercream frosting topped with bacon. Yup, I couldn't pass that up. I almost got two of that kind but I wanted something else so instead I went for the Chocolate Strawberry Bliss: Dark Chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream. Gaaaaah! These cup-cupcakes are super-duper moist! The Breakfast one tastes just like homemade blueberry waffles with syrup and the bacon is a perfect pairing! The chocolate one was divine as well but I should have stuck with two breakfast cups. You gotta try this truck!

As I walked to pick up my ordered items, the storefront for Deloozeycakes caught my eye. The doors were closed and locked but I saw a couple of people inside who assured me that they were open. The store was bright with neon lights and it looked inviting and very clean. Desserts such as cupcakes, cake slices, cookies and mini sweet potato pies were lined up neatly along the counter, and the temperature regulated case up front had salted caramel, red velvet, and french vanilla cheesecakes; banana pudding; and strawberry yum yum cake. Red velvet is one of my favorite flavors and that's usually my "go to" cupcake when I try a new place. But, that red velvet cheesecake was calling my name! I got a slice of that and then I couldn't resist getting a piece of the honeybun cake. After taking one bite of each cake, it was clear to me that they know how to make incredible cake! The red velvet cheesecake had a light and soft layer of cheesecake nestled between two moist pieces of red velvet cake that boasted a beautiful cocoa flavor. And while the honeybun cake reminded me more of a coffee cake than a honeybun, it was full of cinnamon, glazed, and delicious nonetheless. Open since the Summer of 2020, Deloozeycakes has rotating cake flavors and even spirit infused cupcakes. I definitely loved the cakes that I tried but I thought the prices were a little steep. At $8 for the cheesecake and $5 for the honeybun cake, I was surprised by the portion size, particularly for the honeybun cake. But, with that said, the next time I am back in The Avenues Mall, I will also be back at Deloozeycakes!

Miss Pat chooses the individual table settings from her vast collection and every place was beautiful. The menu is "set" but they were so nice and accommodated my onion allergy, sometimes by making me a separate dish! This was wonderful! We ate everything that was served with great enjoyment! Miss Pat explained everything as the courses were served--a bit of history and descriptions. I don't think a crumb was left! Then, of course, we took advantage of the many gifts in the shop. Most of us found at least one item to purchase, either for ourselves or for someone special. You cannot go wrong!!!I also purchased my favorite Muffaletta mix because it has no onions in it! Delicious on any type of meat sandwich, or spread on pizza. Thank you to Miss Pat!! (Better hurry and go, though, because this will be her last winter holidays with the shop--she's retiring!!)

I've always wanted to go to a tearoom and on my birthday this year, decided to try this place out…read more My husband and two other friends joined us and we did not know what to expect walking in. Parking lot is a bit rough as it's not paved but it's fine, there's room for parking. Upon walking in, we were surprised and delighted on how cute this tea room was! There were a lot of trinkets, adorned ornaments, teas, gifts, etc. around the store. We scheduled for noon on a Tuesday and only waited about 5 minutes until we were whisked away to our table. The table set up itself was so delicate, beautiful, and I felt that I should be dressed up like I was going to the Kentucky derby haha. The tea room was clean, bright, and I loved how the area is a little private. We sat down and Ms. Pat helped us right away! Ms. Pat was so pleasant, sweet, and explained all the courses and what we're having. We had the following: Pot of tea: I believe it was an English black tea with some milk and raw brown sugar. You know a tearoom is legit when they have sugar cubes and and cream in a fancy container. I was so wowed the delicate set up of the table. I truly felt like I was having afternoon tea with a member of the royal family. I enjoyed this tea's flavor and Ms. Pat came around and refilled our teacups on a timely basis. I added some cream and two sugar cubes and it was delightful. The tearoom experience comes with 6 courses *with x/10 ratings: 1st Course--Strawberry cold soup, fresh fruit, and jalapeno honey. Ms. Pat told us to pour the jalapeno honey on the fresh fruit for an explosion of flavor. She said the jalapeno honey works really well with the fresh fruit. She was not kidding! That combination might seem weird but it worked perfectly with the acidity of the fruit mixed with the sweetness/spiciness from the jalapeno and honey. The strawberry cold soup was also very fruity, fresh, and light. It reminded me of eating freshly pureed strawberries with yogurt! The fruits ((berries and pineapple) were also fresh and you could tell in each bite. We also had some pita dippers with some brie/jam! The brie combined with the jelly on top of the pita chip, was one of the best bites ever! 9/10 for sure! 2nd Course - Veggie tray. It consisted of fresh heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, and carrots with a side of homemaker buttermilk ranch. the veggies were fresh as well and I felt each snap or crunch every time I took a bite of a veggie. The ranch was good too! It went so well with the veggies. . 7/10 3rd Course - Ms. Pat likes to call this course a spinoff on "Fish and Chips". We had homemade kettle chips to go along with a curried fish dip and peach salsa. The chips were crunchy, crispy, and flavorful and the dip and salsa went extremely well the chips. No complaints here! The real show as the fish dip and we found ourselves wanting more of it. Then came the deviled eggs. They were so creamy, flavorful, and soft. I wanted to take the whole tray with me!! I love eggs and here, they know how to do their deviled eggs! I would come back just for the eggs haha 8.5/10 4th Course - Fancy Assortment of Tea Sandwiches: Lettuce sandwich with pickled veggies, cucumber sandwiches, pumpkin-butter & sliced apple on pecan-dipped cinnamon-raisin bread, and some chicken salad cups. The sandwiches blew my mind away! The sandwiches were small but packed a huge flavor! I love how the crusts were cut off too! 8.5/10 5th Course - Scones, the scones are warm, fresh, and came with a cream. It was so good!!! The scone melted in my mouth! it was probably one of the softest and fluffiest scones I've ever had. When you combined the cream on top oft he scone, it elevated the fruits in the scones some more. The scone was blueberry one I believe. 8/10 6th Course - Then came the dessert tarts, dark chocolate covered strawberries, nuts, and some type of petit four dessert. We were pretty full by then (can you believe it haha?) but agreed that the desserts were divine. The dark chocolate covered strawberry was so fresh and I love that they used dark chocolate so it wasn't too sweet. Chocolate and fruit always work so well together! 8.5/10 Overall, I would come here again probably only for a special occasion or here and there. It's a little pricier at $44 a person (but so worth the experience!) and keep in mind that they do charge an extra $20 if you add a birthday cake for the occasion. The cake was so beautiful and I loved that Ms. Pat even celebrated with us! Overall, such a wonderful and pleasant experience with Ms. Pat and we hope to come back again!!!
