Good food, good prices, kid friendly and understaffed. Our family rarely goes out because we have some people with celiac disease in our family. The local cow has gluten free buns for their burgers and gluten free beer as well. The food was really good and the kids loved their little theatre game thing they had on the tv. However, the service was not very good. The waitress seemed annoyed with our questions, which I understand, but with celiac disease being a very serious disease we have to make sure that there is no gluten in any bbq sauce, chips etc. It was busy at the time, but there needs to be some patience when dealing with food allergies. Otherwise, you can lose a lot of customers. To top it off, when our kids got their hotdogs (which we had told the waitress no buns since they couldn't have gluten either) the hot dogs came with buns. We just took the buns off (even though we should have told them to remake the hot dogs...yes with celiac you have to be THAT strict) but instead we decided to let it slide this time. They are understaffed there and really need to get another waiter in there. In the waitresses defense, she seemed to be doing two peoples jobs and was bussing tables, taking orders, delivering food and checking on customers. Had they had enough people working, we probably wouldn't have felt like we were that annoying customer everyone hates. I really would like to see this place succeed since we did enjoy our time there and I can see it being a success, but it will be difficult for us to feel safe going there if the people working there aren't sure what's in the bbq sauce and teriaki sauce etc AND then mess up our order when we have serious food allergies. Other than the obviously understaffed restraunt and the food issues, it was a great place. I'm hoping IF we make it in there again it will be a better experience.
2nd experience there was excellent, but they weren't busy.
3rd visit there was with a different owner (apparently there are two owners and depending on which owner is there will depend on what they can and can't do...this is what the waitress told us) How confusing not just for the waitress, but for the customers as well. We came back here on the 3rd of July and had the absolute worst experience we have ever had eating out. We asked the waitress for no toasted buns (again because we have celiac) and she seemed fine with that....they couldn't give our kids gluten free buns for their sliders (again the other owner was totally okay with it, but the owner Chris isn't) We also asked if it was possible for the people preparing the gluten free buns for our family to wash their hands before. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to prevent our family from getting sick, but the waitress acted like it was unreasonable to ask for that. (funny, because most places have no problem doing that for us when we ask) and later we heard her talking crap to the owner Chris about us because of our request. Anyway, long story short, they brought out toasted buns for all of our meals (the going theme here is when they are busy, their service is completely crappy...and they even use that for their excuse when they mess up and get pissed at US for their mess up) Needless to say, being celiac we couldn't eat those burgers so they slapped a new bun on it and thought that would work. Obviously they don't know anything about celiac and we needed them to remake the burger because that little bit of gluten contaminated the burger. While we were explaining to the owner that that really would make us sick, he stormed back off inside without letting us finish our conversation. On top of all of this, my sister-in-law had asked if they could turn the xbox on and they got super short with her about it. It really was horrible service. If they are going to offer gluten free options, they need to understand what kind of people are going to be coming in. At least this time the waitress was willing to answer our questions, but it's very unprofessional to walk in and overhear her talking to the owner about us in a negative way. This is my family and we do everything we can to keep them from getting sick. I have spent 100's of dollars in gift cards for this place to give to family members...I really liked this place, but we will never support them again. read more
