Teddy Bear Tea in the Lobby Lounge at The Ritz Carlton is my favorite holiday tradition! The lobby is decorated so beautifully for the holidays. Each guest is served either a pot of holiday tea or hot chocolate. The food is a traditional high tea menu. We had curry chicken salad, ham & cornichon pate, cucumber sandwiches, traditional egg salad and smoked salmon rosette. We also had scones with lemon curd and an abundance of desserts. Everything was absolutely exquisite and the service was everything you would expect from the Ritz Carlton!

    Chicken Quesadilla, delicious!

One of the things I enjoy about the Ritz Carlton is the comfortable environment of the Lobby Lounge. The menu that is offered has something for everyone in addition to the Live Music days they offer. This evening,I opted for the chicken quesadilla, side of Fries and a glass of wine. The quesadilla is delicious! An ample amount of chicken and very cheesy on the inside with the right crispness to the tortilla for balance. Served with Sour cream, Guacamole and Pico on the side. Side of Fries is fair serving size and hard to stop eating. Needless to say, I had to force myself not to eat the whole meal and it wasn't easy. Service was top notch as always.

Stopped to have a drink and appetizers after my massage. Service was great and the hibiscus blossom was delicious!

It's a members preferred lounge. The loophole to getting in here is to be a guest of the hotel (which applies to me). Whenever members arrive, the bartender or waitstaff would bring the contents of their locker to their seat. I thought that was cool. The cigar selection is minimal and is roughly 3 times the price of the box price; but that was expected, it being the Ritz and all. For food, I highly recommend the Fish Tacos; they were delicious. The burger was decent. I'll be sure to book the Ritz whenever I am in St. Louis.

Great atmosphere! Its a traditional cigar bar located in the Ritz. You must either be a member or a guest of the hotel to get in, as it is private. The food is good. The bar tenders are great! Several TV's for viewing the games and plenty of comfortable seating. The only thing I wish they had was more appetizers.

Ambiance: Very nice, dark, cozy -- date night vibes…read more Service: Great! Polite, smiles, answered all our questions. We started with the Isaan hamachi. It was okay, but compared to Sado's version it just didn't hold up. The biggest issue was the aroma--it had a sour, almost "rotten milk" smell. I'm not sure if that was from the coconut milk reacting with the acidity of the dish and was intentional, but it really affected the overall experience. The flavor itself was decent, but smell plays such a big role in taste. Next was a white fish sashimi (I can't remember the name) served over a thin orange slice and topped with jalapeño. The flavor combination was really nice and refreshing, but the slices of fish were paper thin. At around $20, I expected a more substantial portion. The gyoza was solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but well-executed with great flavor, a beautiful crispy lace, and honestly one of the best-smelling dishes we ordered. The palm sugar ribs came highly recommended, so I was excited for them. Texture-wise they were excellent--crispy outside, juicy inside--but the sauce had an overpowering aroma that reminded both of us of wet dog. My guess is the fish sauce was a little heavy-handed. I've had plenty of dishes with fish sauce before and love the depth it adds, so I don't know if this was intentional or just an off night. The flavor itself was good, but the smell made it difficult to fully enjoy. (It was pungent in the worst way) The standout of the night was the Japanese eggplant. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and the chili crisp brought everything together. Easily a 10/10. For dessert, we had the mango custard coconut cake, which was also delicious. Favorite cocktail: the Re-Animator. Refreshing, citrus-forward, with just enough wasabi to give it a subtle kick. I've never had anything quite like it and would absolutely order it again. Overall, it wasn't the strongest first impression. There were definitely some highlights--the eggplant, dessert, and cocktail were all excellent--but if I'm spending this much on dinner, I'd probably choose Sado, where every visit has been consistently outstanding. That said, I'd still come back for that eggplant alone. This reads more like an honest dining journal than a takedown. It gives credit where it's due, clearly explains why certain dishes didn't work for you, and ends on a fair note rather than a harsh one.

It was raining the night we went and so their having an umbrella stand in the "mud room" was nice. I thought it a good layout how you walk into a small area where you can wipe your feet then proceed further into the restaurant at the hostess stand. As we were walked to our table, we passed a "bar" where you can sit for your meal while watching the sushi master make everything. We were promontory seated and served water. When I asked for a hot sake, and he showed interest, the woman taking care of us said she could bring a larger serving and two cups. The wait staff were very patient with us as there was just so much mouthwatering options on the menu, it was hard for us to arrive down to what we knew we could finish. We ordered four rolls and shared all equally. It was a perfect way to try a lot of different t fishes - especially with one of the rolls being the Rainbow roll. The restaurant was quiet and intimate, a perfect date night. The lighting was enough so we could read the menus and see our food but dim enough to be romantic. I'll be honest I didn't notice the decor as a few of the tables had gotten some other interesting dishes that I ogled. I'll definitely be back!

I accidentally got glutened (my mistake not theirs). Just know if you have any dietary restrictions, they actually will do everything they can to prevent it. I just forgot to tell them and I accidentally ordered something I didn't know had tempura flakes in it (it is marked with a little triangle). I did not get charged for it, but in this day and age with restaurant margins being so thin, please don't waste food. Anyways, the food was delicious. The chefs are always hard at work in the kitchen and you can tell everything is made with love. I had never had any issues here with the food nor the staff. However, I had a different experience in April. My friend made a reservation for his birthday today. It was the groups' first time coming and they were all very excited. We called multiple times to make sure a group of 12 was okay. We are all aware that not every restaurant is suitable for such a big group, but were told it was not a problem. As soon as we sat down, we could tell one of the servers was very annoyed at the group. From the start, he would answer with an attitude, harshly put the plates on the table, and was outright disrespectful when we asked about a friend's plate that never arrived. This person ended up leaving and going to eat somewhere else. I was a server before and understand that big groups can be frustrating. Nevertheless, there is no excuse to treat a table so rudely when they have been nothing but nice and understanding. The food was great, but we were all extremely dissapointed, specially me since I've been here numerous times with no problem. I had never seen this server before, so I'm not sure if it was an off day for him or what. Most people said they would not come back, which made me very sad since it's good food. Thankfully, the female servers were all very nice and accomodating after the entire situation. I highly recommend Sushi Koi for their rolls. However, do not come in big groups.
