She recommended I visit Yuliya, as she'd been going to her for several years, shared her phone number, and said that text was the easiest way to get ahold of her. So, I texted and scheduled an appointment. Today, I received a text message confirming my appointment 3 days in advance. She sent it at approximately 10am, when I was occupied in a meeting. I noted the reminder (for an appointment I intended to keep) but was distracted with work before thanking her and confirming. This evening, I received a much less professional confirmation text, saying that if I didn't respond, she would assume I didn't plan to keep my appointment, and my time slot would be given to another preferred client. I was honestly taken aback. I understand it was an oversight on my part to forget to respond to the initial confirmation; however, most businesses that send confirmation expect you to respond in the instance you need to cancel, and the later message felt threatening in tone. I politely responded that I had been distracted with a busy work day, but that I did intend to keep my appointment, but that if she needed to cancel to accommodate her preferred clients, I would understand. I got a response that said "it's up to you, but my time is valuable." I cancelled. The exchange did not leave me feeling respected as a potential new client, and I prefer to take my business to someone who appreciates it. I felt that if I didn't cancel, I'd be subjected to the same harsh attitude and poor professionalism in my appointment, which I'd like to avoid. I'm sure she must be great at what she does, because in a market like Dallas, to be in business as long as she has, you have to be, especially when you have customer service like that. That said, there are TONS of amazing lash pros in Dallas, several of whom I've been referred to, and when given an option, I'd rather go to one who will appreciate me as a paying client and treat me with better professionalism.

But this place literally blew my mind when I walked in. Nothing about it gave the traditional 'supply' store or 'beauty store' feel. All of the decor screams upscale contemporary. Tianna, the owner did her thing decorating this place. Not to mention, this place also houses a huge open space in the back where trainings are held. I was able to peep into a session where there were a ton of lash techs quietly at work on their students as part of their coursework. (See pics) This location not only offers courses in lash curriculum, but also in the various business aspects behind it, if you need help in that area. As far as the supply is concerned, they have everything! I personally went because I wanted to try the new lash pod that wraps around the hand/arm but I ended up buying additional tweezers as well because I found an awesome pair for a reasonable price. I was checked in and seen almost immediately. Sami was my brow artist and we discussed cleaning up my shape and doing my forehead. Let me just say that this was the easiest, most pain-free experience I have ever had in my many years of getting my brows threaded. Normally I am wincing and I just bear it because thats what we do for beauty right?? But Sami did my brows quickly, BEAUTIFULLY, and with literally zero discomfort. I will definitely be coming back and requesting Sami and I highly recommend you do too if you decide you need some threading. Also the price was perfect....about $20 for both eyebrows and forehead!
