Busy but helpful. Lots of selection. Ok prices. They were willing to bring boots out to try since I had an injury recovering.

Review: 09/13/25…read more Parked in JC Penny's parking lot at Baychester Mall, thought it was the polite thing to do was to make a purchase being that parking was free. A great sale was going on, and I needed to get new bed pillows. The sale was too good of a deal to pass up. Just as i thought i had made the ultimate score. Realized the check out lines were a mile long. The houseware section is on the third floor. The extra, mile long check out line, turned out to be returns. No check outs on the entire third floor. Took the escalator done to the second floor, walked around, no check out lines on the second floor. Getting a bit frustrated, I just want to pay and leave. First floor has to be a charm. As we got off the escalator, there is one check out line, which was long. However they had three cashiers. Met a nice lady, had a cool chat about why we no longer like shopping in stores, and prefer online. This ordeal of having to hunt for a cashier was enough JC Penny to last me a lifetime. The store is very busy on the weekends. Checking out is difficult, lots of great deals. Good luck!

Customers are not appreciated and employees seem to think it's ok to disrespect, challenge customers & refuse refunds. On 12/23/18 I entered this store to exchange a jacket. Regrettably, DXL didn't have the jacket in a larger size. With my receipt in hand I stated I wanted a refund. The store clerk immediately asserted he wasn't giving me a refund as he accused me that the jacket had been worn! Excuse me? First damn off the jacket was NEVER worn. Secondly all tags were still on the jacket. Additionally, their were no stains, rips or perfume on this item. Accusing a customer of wearing an item, after I clearly told u the item was not worn, I find that to be highly insulting. How dare he? I also found his accusatory actions to be discriminatory, surely if I were a white customer he would have refunded my money with no question. Shopping while Black, Equal Suspect? Smdh. As I stated to this dumb ass ignorant clerk, his attitude is just why stores fail in urban areas, due to poor customer service, prejuduce & ignorance. Re-training is a must at this location as the Customer Is Always Right. The manager granted my refund. However due to that jack ass sales clerk falsely accusing me of returning a worn item, I will never again patronage DLX in Bay Plaza. Falsely Insulting customers and refusing refunds when I clearly had my receipt, unacceptable! Don't spend your money at this location, go a few miles over to DXL in Yonkers!

I don't work there all I know is he ordered them and I had to pick them up. A snail moved faster than she did. She was talking to me and braiding her hair at the same time. I won't be returning to this store again, negative energy!
