You might have to dig through somethings, but it's not too bad. The place is well kept and the people who manage it (I think they are all volunteers from the church?) work hard to keep the place in order. There is flow to the merchandise, with areas broken up by department. New donations are coming in on a regular basis. Every time I go, which is often, I see new donations being dropped off or being sorted and priced. The staff/volunteers are always so pleasant. It's a pleasure to shop here. It's never too crowded with customers, but there is regular customer traffic that keeps the store moderately busy. Prices are fair and around Christmas, they set up a room with Christmas specific/inspired merchandise. Kudos to Red Door!

I had brought in some items to consign. Among them was a pocketbook, never used in perfect condition; it was not a top end designer bag but was a very good name brand selling for about $400. I felt that Karen priced it way too low for what I paid for it. I ended up deciding to leave it anyway since store policy is not to mark down again for five weeks if it doesn't sell, which Karen even reminded me of verbally. I called back in EXACTLY five weeks to the day and guess what?? It had already sold days before, and Karen had marked it down even further!! A direct violation of store policy that she promises to her consignors and also a direct violation of what she told me when I was on the fence about leaving it; in other words, a direct LIE. I ended up getting a 'pittance' of what I paid for it. It's very sad that a business owner would choose to pull a stunt like that; lying to a customer, but also violating store policy is, in essence, lying to all her customers.

Definitely an asset to the town of Harrison. This store is within a few minutes walk from my place and is open later than most vintage stores I know. I used to cross the Tappan Zee to Nyack or go up to New Paltz for some cool finds, but am very happy that we have a cool vintage store in Westchester! There are knick knacks, jewelry, shoes, accessories, and other small items as well. The owner is so nice and encourages you to try things on, pick up anything that catches your eye, and have fun! Her energy is just as unique as her finds!!! She even brought out a shirt from the back that I also ended up buying. She has an eye for style and is very helpful in pushing to explore your style. However, the women working here greeted me and patiently helped me find two beautiful outfits - one sari and one churidar. Although they were still more expensive than what you'll pay in India, the shop owners were willing to work with my budget, especially since I was purchasing two and came in during a holiday sale. She also let me choose a pair of earrings for free. All in all, a great experience and friendly service.
