One of our kiddos made a spill in the middle of the event while Bre'don was serving pizza, and he rushed to clean it up, then came back to serving as quick as possible! They say early is when animals are most active. Animals are more I likely to approach us. We chose the guided tour vs self tour. It was windy and chilly at the time we went. Check weather and dress appropriately to enjoy the open air tour! It was an incredible experience. I can't believe it's just outside of Waco! The first tour guide was interactive, talkative, and informative. He gave us quizzes. Our tour guide leaving was more pleasant. We enjoyed the ride back. She spoke less, however, we were able to enjoy the ride taking it all in. She gave us tidbits of information as we moved along... There's a really nice gift shop during the tour break, petting zoo, and cafe. The cart with less people is best. A crowded cart is not that comfortable. Curiosity is key when riding with others.

She was so informative and shared fascinating insights about the animals and the history of the land. I was genuinely surprised to learn they've discovered dinosaur footprints and fossils right in the ridge--it added such a cool layer to the tour. From the giraffes to the cheetahs and everything in between, we loved getting up close. Being able to feed animals I never thought I'd encounter was a highlight. It felt like such a personal, high-quality experience rather than just a drive-through. We are already planning our return trip to try the "Behind the Scenes" package!

Rakhi and her staff, including Maya and Karis, were fantastic. Our ability to follow directions and create the initial form varied among our group, and some had to restart from the beginning more than once. Maya was very patient with us and adjusted how much she assisted by each person's ability. Knowing we were first timers, the staff were very encouraging and helpful as we selected our shapes and attempted to create them. They also helped us personalize each piece with additional designs, and we're very excited to see how everything turns out. There are two parts to this class, creating a piece for baking and in a few weeks we'll return to paint and glaze the pieces so they're food safe. I think we're going to take a longer course the next time!

I attended a Valentine's Day event last month with The ATX Dog Mom Social Club at The Spinning…read moreWheel. There was confusion over pricing and timing. The event post noted one price and when we got to the event, we were told it would cost extra to glaze the bowl which was a necessary step make the clay piece food-safe. We were making dog bowls so of course we wanted them to be food-safe but it was a bummer that we would have to pay an additional fee on top of what we had already paid. I was charged more than others in my group! We were instructed to make our bowls outside on the picnic tables which weren't flat surfaces. The event poster also stated that we could shape our clay by hand or use the spinning wheel. The spinning wheels weren't even offered to us. Overall, I attended this event to make new friends and create something nice for my dog. I accomplished both so that was a win! While I most likely won't come back, this business is a fun concept that is great for groups of young children and I even saw a mother bring in her young daughter with her to glaze pottery together which was so sweet but the pricing and timing to pick up your artwork could be clearer. Also parking is very limited so park next door at the gymnasium.

For 1,5 hours we were able to go through entire place without any rush and issues. The fun part that register has scanning light and makes beeping noise. And they use reusable bags for shopping. Musical instruments are also available and they even have x-ray machine in doctors cabinet. 3 clean bathrooms on site and diaper changing room are available. My little one cried, she did not want to leave. I let her explore outside in outdoor kitchen. Toys are in a good condition and all is well organized and in order. Ticket cost is only $6 per person, makes it affordable to come as often as possible. Staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely go back. For someone who gave only 1 star just for parking, I was able to park easily right in front of entrance on Wednesday afternoon. No problem. Even though plenty parking around the area. For someone who mentioned that staff was reminding to keep toys organized and in order, I was told only once when purchasing tickets and no reminders. Maybe because I was constantly behind kids and helping them to put everything back. Perfect time to teach them to clean up after themselves.
