We've loved sending our kid here. The staff, teachers and place is great. Always willing to help,…read moreand greet you with a "good morning". The early morning and late pickups are also super helpful for the family. Never had a concern dropping our kid off for the day! Great place and would def recommend.

I have three sons -- 9 year old identical twins and a 13 year old. My twins grew up at Academy for…read moreCreative Learning, attending there from the time they turned two until they started kindergarten. My oldest son attended the ACL school age program during Christmas break and summer for three years. I cannot say enough good things about ACL -- our family has many very sweet memories of our time there. One of the features that distinguishes ACL from other child care facilities is that the owner pays her employees well and there is very little turn over there. The teachers (God bless them) work there because they love kids and they have the patience of saints (if my life depended on it I don't think I could manage even a day in charge of a classroom full of two year olds, but these ladies make it look easy and fun). Each teacher that we came into contact with took the time to really get to know my boys -- even though my twins look exactly alike, they were always treated like the individuals that they are. When they were three, one of my sons needed some medical tests in Dallas and I was stunned when his teacher spent the weekend driving all over town to find him a stuffed bulldog (his favorite animal at the time) to cuddle with during his test. During the year my boys were in the pre-K room our family went through a divorce and the teachers were such a big help in providing my boys the stability and TLC that they needed through that difficult transition. The hair salon was a great feature -- all you have to do is leave payment at the front desk in the morning and when you pick up your child at the end of the day they have a fantastic hair cut. The swimming pool was great too -- the daily time in the pool during the summer time went a long way toward my boys developing a love for water. The summer school age camp was super -- every day was filled with field trips, fun crafts, time in the pool and games. My boys still reminisce about summers at ACL -- especially the weekly visits from the snow cone truck. As far as I'm concerned, the only downside of ACL is that the food is kind of junky -- white bread, juice drinks, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and processed cheese are all featured prominently on the menu. I did find, however, that the staff was good about abiding by my request that my boys be served the healthier options and given water instead of juice drinks. The bottom line is that I recommend ACL wholeheartedly.

I caution parents of this place when you drop your child off. If your child is bawling their eyes…read moreout begging you not to leave them, there's a reason for it! They used to be known as candycane corner, and the reason is because they were under investigation for a child being bit countless times in one day. They had to shut down until the investigation was complete, and at this time they changed their name to our dreams. The menu that they have hanging on the wall is fictitious, as when I would ask my little girl what she had to eat she would tell me a sandwich. There was never anything fresh served it was always prepackaged processed junk. Yes they may be one of the cheaper daycare's in the area, but you get what you pay for.

CAUTION PARENTS: Do NOT send your babies here! Our Dreams? More like Our Nightmare!!! The staff is…read morerude and not nurturing, the owner is a liar and a fraud, the food looks awful, and they barely have any toys. My son attended for 1 week before I pulled him out. When I picked him up at the end of day 1 he was screaming, and I was rudely informed that he had been doing that all day! Extremely unusual for my son. Day 2 he was bitten, Day 3 he was gauged under his chin, which they called a scratch. He has been in daycare before and always enjoyed it. At this place, he would start screaming in the parking lot after just seeing the building! My mother's intuition told me that something wasn't right, and I went looking for a new daycare. (We found a new place, and he LOVES it. He jumps out of my arms now to run in and hug his teacher and play with his friends!) I had paid upfront for 1 full month at Our Dreams. I knew there was a 2 week notice that needed to be given, which I did. However, I asked if they would be willing to waive it so he didn't have to get attached to one teacher, and then another. Jamie told me that was fine, and Friday could be his last day. I was told I could expect a check in the mail for the 3 remaining weeks. I called, and called, and called, and Christy was never available to take my call. Finally 2 weeks later I received a check for only 1 week of the 3 remaining weeks I had paid for. Again, I started calling, again Christy would not speak to me. She finally had Jamie call me back to tell me that Christy changed her mind and decided to keep the 2 weeks of the pay. They are not only liars, but I believe something else is going on there too. There's no reason that my son was miserable there, and happy as can be at his new place. We are not from here, so I only recently found out that this place has changed names because they were under investigation for CHILD ABUSE under their old name Candy Cane Corner. It's a shame that this place is still operating and caring for young children. It's a shame the the own outright lied to me about refunding my money, but at the end of the day, the money doesn't matter. My sons safety and happiness is worth much more than a few weeks child care pay. If you need a place to take your children I would recommend Think Play Grow Academy. My son went there for 1 week prior to attending Our Dreams. The only reason we left was because they didn't open until 0730, which ended up not working with my new schedule. He loved it there, loved his teacher, and never had screaming episodes like he did at Our Dreams. He's currently at This Little Piggy, and I really cannot say enough great things about them either. Everything about it we love! Seriously, please take caution sending your kids to Our Dreams. Something ain't right there and the state needs to shut them down!
