We've had a great experience here so far. The teachers are really good with my kids and my kids love going.

The early morning and late pickups are also super helpful for the family. Never had a concern dropping our kid off for the day! Great place and would def recommend.

My twins grew up at Academy for…read moreCreative Learning, attending there from the time they turned two until they started kindergarten. My oldest son attended the ACL school age program during Christmas break and summer for three years. I cannot say enough good things about ACL -- our family has many very sweet memories of our time there. One of the features that distinguishes ACL from other child care facilities is that the owner pays her employees well and there is very little turn over there. The teachers (God bless them) work there because they love kids and they have the patience of saints (if my life depended on it I don't think I could manage even a day in charge of a classroom full of two year olds, but these ladies make it look easy and fun). Each teacher that we came into contact with took the time to really get to know my boys -- even though my twins look exactly alike, they were always treated like the individuals that they are. When they were three, one of my sons needed some medical tests in Dallas and I was stunned when his teacher spent the weekend driving all over town to find him a stuffed bulldog (his favorite animal at the time) to cuddle with during his test. During the year my boys were in the pre-K room our family went through a divorce and the teachers were such a big help in providing my boys the stability and TLC that they needed through that difficult transition. The hair salon was a great feature -- all you have to do is leave payment at the front desk in the morning and when you pick up your child at the end of the day they have a fantastic hair cut. The swimming pool was great too -- the daily time in the pool during the summer time went a long way toward my boys developing a love for water. The summer school age camp was super -- every day was filled with field trips, fun crafts, time in the pool and games. My boys still reminisce about summers at ACL -- especially the weekly visits from the snow cone truck. As far as I'm concerned, the only downside of ACL is that the food is kind of junky -- white bread, juice drinks, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and processed cheese are all featured prominently on the menu. I did find, however, that the staff was good about abiding by my request that my boys be served the healthier options and given water instead of juice drinks. The bottom line is that I recommend ACL wholeheartedly.

Always fed, always clean, tons of activities for the kids, great place. Our daughter went there from 18mn.-9ish year of age before and after school care and pick up and drop off from local schools which is nice. Fair pricing, your kid will never go hungry there. Great place, great care providers, great management, great place. Don't let looks detract you, bc this place is fantastic to the kids and parents. The pricing is also fantastic.

But what's done is done, figured by this point it was worth at least taking a look on the inside. The place was rundown, doesn't look like it had been cleaned in a year. Was scared to touch anything knowing that we're prolly gonna get sick just standing here. I could hear all the babies crying in the other room, when I peeked in there were 2 adults and prolly a good 8 or so babies, half were crying. The one adult came to assist me, and left the other to tend to all babies on her own. Even tho half of them needed attention, the other lady was sitting on the window sill not even caring that babies were crying. My heart sank, these people had no love or even decency to help a crying baby. I would never put my kids in a place like this. I felt so bad for those babies in there, I wish that I could have saved them from the neglect they're getting at this daycare. This place is aweful and doesn't even deserve a 1 star

It's sad to even have to leave a review like this. What kind of daycare tells a parent that their child is bad everyday? Isnt your profession built to surround yourself with being with kids? How do you have incidents but yet have no incident reports?? There wasn't a real problem until my daughter started asking you questions, just like any real parent would. How does a 3year old come from a different school with no negative remarks but then start at yours and is in trouble every single day? Sounds like you was the problem. How do you sleep at night knowing you've been terrible to a child/children ALL DAY!! How do you leave a child with a dirty diaper so full it's falling off of him? I need you to know that I damn sure don't play when it comes to my kids. As a parent it horrified me to know that places like yours exist!! I'm leaving this review to prevent anybody else from coming in contact with you and your establishment. Other parents have said the exact same stuff that we are now saying, so you can't call us us all liars!!! You're living proof that RACISM is alive. How dare you treat my daughter and grandson like this!! You're probably proud of this comment and that's what is really sad. I hope and pray you get your funding pulled from and that's when it will hurt you. You can't treat people like this and think it's OK.

Some of the teachers really didn't belong around kids. But, that does not negate the fact that Greater Waco has some of the best teachers in the world. When ever I have had concerns they have always been dealt with Second, I have a child in the K-4 class who adores Ms. Michelle. She is the most wonderful teacher in the entire school!! I have a 2-year old in the toddler class. Although we have seen some of our favorite toddler teachers leave he has grown fond of Ms. Annette. Even though Catherine will always be mommy's favorite. :) My youngest is in the infant room, and after leaving Ms. Arleen in the newborn room, her teacher Ms. Sarah is perfect at caring for my daughter. Babies are hard work, you don't always know why they are upset but Ms. Sarah does wonderfully!!! Third, and last, everyone has their own opinions and parenting styles. But, I can walk into the school whenever I want and just peek in on any of my kids. If I cannot personally go in I have always been able to call and speak with the teachers. I'm not saying the last three and a half years have gone without a hitch but I can say that I would not trust my babies with anyone else. The staff at Greater Waco Early Education Center has become an extended part of my family and my kids love not only the teachers but the entire staff!!!!
