First time going to this Lego store it was a great experience. My cousin and I got matching keychains and were able to make mini figures of ourselves. Obviously the prices are about the same everywhere and most sets are on the pricey side especially if you're a little bit older and looking for something a little more complicated but they did have a few cute sets hat weren't too bad. Birthday shopping for my grandson, and I have to admit this was the first Lego store I've been in and to see. This store was awesome, I have to admit this store was super awesome and the staff was amazing. The variety of legos and is something I honestly had no clue about. I geek out often. If I'm not collecting sports cards, Funko Pops or pre-1982 US pennies, I want to build a Lego set. The challenge of creating something from hundreds of small Lego bricks is always a brain tease and satisfying at the same time. Lego bricks are like no other. They are durable, full of color and have been to known to cause quite a bit of pain when stepped on. Over the holidays, my wife purchased 2 Star Wars Lego sets that she knew would be right in my wheelhouse. The Boba Fett ship was purchased from this store while she found the other at a supercenter. Well, they're finally together now and look awesome. The Lego Store in Raleigh has an amazing selection of sets, where you might still be able to find these, and the staff is willing to assist. Be prepared, though. If you go on a weekend, chances are there will be an organized line to wait in before you can enter. You can even personalize your own Lego minifigures at this store! This store is pretty awesome. My son is too young for it right now, but I can see him begging us to take him here as he gets older. The store is set up in a super interesting and colorful way. There is so much to look at! I like how they have almost every lego kit setup so you can see what you are getting into before purchasing. I liked the lego people building station, such a neat idea. Although the store is geared toward older kids/adults they do have some of the preschool duplo legos available here as well. This shop is located on the first level by Bath and Body Works diagonal from H&M. read more

I love me some Lego, but they've sure gotten expensive. And they've gotten quite elaborate. I remember when my wife gave me the space shuttle kit as a present ten years ago and this new stuff is way more intense and has lots more of the small parts than before. And the marketing tie-ins! I remember Shell being a big deal, but now it's Star Wars and Harry Potter and even Toy Story. Like when did Lego need this to get kids interested? Talk about nostalgia, forget my son and forget my daughter! Me, Myself, and I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Oh, but I'll bring my daughter here, and I've taken my son to the one at Potomac Mills. The prices keep me from going crazy here, but when I find a set that's been marked way down, or on clearance, I tend to grab it (or ask my bride to grab it). The displays are awesome, from star wars ships and characters to mini city displays. There are stations available for kids from ages 1 to 99 to sit down and be creative with the legos and maybe even create something that could go in a display case. When I win the lottery, I'll have to buy out one of every item in the store. read more

Luckily, I have an unhealthy love for these little block dudes and their various houses/cars/etc. All the Lego types are there: Star Wars, City Legos, Castle Legos, undersea Legos, and Space Legos, among others. The real draw here though is the interactive element. Not only can you buy individual pieces (in case you're building something specific and need a specific color/part for your endeavor), but you can also build your own little Lego men, and buy them. This part was quite awesome: you get to give them shirts/pants/accessories/faces/hair. I created 3: A disturbed Cajun Chef with an axe, a crazed cruise ship director with a circular saw, and a robot Poli Sci Professor. You didn't know there were so many things to do with Legos, did you? My nephew is all into Star Wars, and you can find boxes and boxes of Legos to put together from the six movies. There's more than just Star Wars in here, of course -- the shelves are stocked all the way around the store from ceiling to floor. You can also buy loose Legos in a veritable plethora of colors as well as gift cards. This store is usually crowded, always busy. I usually stand outside the store and watch my nephew through the glass until he finds what he wants. This store is on the bottom level of Crabtree Valley Mall near H&M and the escalators. read more

Went in here for a Lego "Master Builder" event, which was actually outside the store. They were creating a giant Yoda. The Lego store proper looks like all the rest, except at this particular time there was a line that snaked out the front, around the corner, and then back on itself a couple times. We had a great time building the giant Yoda even though there were so many kids there they kept it down to a "5 brick" limit per kid. read more

My boyfriend and I love building Legos together! We are in our 20's but it's something that gets us off technology and focused on each other. We have so much fun doing it! My 9 years old son loves this store. They used to have a lego interactive games on the Mac for the kids to play. Last time i went there were none left. But my son still had a blast. They have about 2-3 tables with all the lego in the middle. So the kids could built lego together wo obligation to buy it. The price is not cheap but its reasonable. The staff r very nice and very helpful. They were not being pushy or gave u the look if u didn't buy anything in the stores. We spent almost or more than an hr every time we went there. read more

This place is really cool! I've always enjoyed Legos although I haven't built with them in years. I didn't even know that this store even existed until I wondered into Crabtree one day and saw it. Tons of different sets to choose from and they let you try out different sets in the store. You can build custom people from a ton of different options, 3 for $10. This is a cool option so you can build a one of a kind person. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable about all the sets they have in store and even those that are not stocked. It is nice to buy some items online, but I feel like this is a store that is also cool to visit and will always have brick and mortar regardless of where we head into the future as far as shopping. read more

One of my very first vivid memory when I was about 4 years old, I had put on a chain armor with shiny helmet and a sword in hand, storming the castle, fighting evil soldiers as I ascended the stairs, engaged in the most epic fight of the century with thousand years old black dragon, fought him back, and saved the princess... Then my mother asked me to put the Lego away so I can washed up and be ready for supper. (By the way, the routine of my adult line is still eerily similar, except replacing armor with a necktie, and black dragon became my boss) I think every young boys had to have Lego in their toy boxes, yes? With Lego, your imagination runs wild... well, so do the children in this store. I love visiting the store, admiring the Death Star or Millennium Falcon, picking up a key chain or two, but you have to be patient with the little ones running around here, being absolutely obnoxious. This location is awesome! Employees are nice and helpful as always. This location has a Lego Duplo table for children 2-5 which is great when your looking for your next Lego kit! They also have a setup for older children this time it was Minecraft Legos. My daughter was able to make 3 Lego people for $9.99 which was cool she made a zombie and turns out the face glows in the dark! I got the Ghostbusters kit this visit and it was well worth the purchase price! Will be coming back for the Big Bang Theory kit as well in September so I can get my free digger for my son since I will be spending over the $50 requirement. read more

My son is finally into Legos and so visiting the store is a must and a good way to get him to stay on top of his school work. This is the only Lego store in the area and it is a bit small but it has all the items a Lego lover needs! The staff is always pleasant and willing to answer any questions about any of the sets they have in store. They also do several events each month for those aged 6 - 14 which is nice opportunity to meet other Lego enthusiast. I do find that some sets are costly but it's the price you pay for Lego. Even when my son outgrows any current obsessions (Lego angry birds) I will pass them down or keep for any children he or his sister may have. I appreciate them having Lego VIP and the staff willing to explain all it entailed. read more

Warning for crabtree lego store!!! They do not return items even if the box is like new and have your receipt and it's been just two or three days and the inside items are still sealed in the original plastic!!!! They are currently selling a robotic kit for about $150 and that kit is not compatible with anything therefore the kit is useless and does not work. An employee even admitted to my husband that a lot of people are trying to return it because of that yet they are still selling it and still they won't except returns!!!! Update: after some asking they returned the item as an exception. ***otherwise this store is very nice in all other ways read more

My son loves this store. Every time we come to Crabtree it's the one store he needs to go into. Most of the time he just goes to the back wall and sticks his hands in all the different colored Lego bins. I ask him which Lego set Santa should bring him for Christmas, and he just sticks his hand in each color bin he wants, saying "This one, this one, this one, this one..." I tell him Santa doesn't buy individual bricks, he only buys boxes. So he just starts touching every box saying "This one, this one, this one, this one..." I think if your kid loves Lego, there's absolutely no way you can go wrong shopping here. The lines to check out may get pretty long sometimes, especially around Christmas, but you know it's worth it. read more

We have been to this Lego store a number of times. I forgot to post a review after our Christmas shopping experience. The employees much deserved praise! Me, my 6 year old and my 2 year old stopped in again last night, just before closing. First off the store was nearly as busy as Christmas.... Second it was my Lego driven 6 year old's first time in the store........ He was in AW! But again. The Lego Fellas working, were beyond helpful and so accommodating.
