I always wanted to stop by and I'm glad I did. It's a cool place if you are into card games like Pokemon and board games like D&D. They host tournaments and game night. I went in to get my nephew some items to get his gaming started. They have miniature game pieces that you can paint and some already painted. The clerk is very knowledgeable about everything in there. Took his time to answer all my questions and I was able to get everything my nephew can use for his first rpg game night adventure with his friends for a good price. Definitely worth checking if you are into gaming but not video games since this is not that kind of venue. read more

Really cool place to visit. They got some free games to play. Also, they got a good section of games you can buy with some expansion options. I show up here almost every Thursday for their EDH night. These are my opinions and observations: - It can be difficult to find a parking spot after 6pm. - The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. - There's a wide variety of games to choose from. - Their merchandise is reasonably priced. - It can get crowded in there, but you can always find table space. - They don't sell MTG singles beyond the current set. Overall, this is my favorite hobby shop, and if I didn't like the store, I wouldn't show up every Thursday. read more

Wonderful place to try out esoteric specialty board games and other crafty hobby items! The store is split between the "shopping" and "play" areas. They carry sample editions of most games so you can play a round or two before committing to your purchase. With most board games nowadays being $30+, I'd highly recommend coming here before making your investment. We came in not really knowing what we wanted - just a board game that would be fun and challenging for two children-at-heart. We were given Ticket to Ride to try out. So Much Fun! While we were there, we saw several groups trading/playing with Magic cards so I assume this is a fairly well-known place for local collectors. You can also buy drinks and other refreshments here. I came here looking for a game I needed by a certain day after online options were either too expensive or wouldn't get here in time. The store had it and the price was actually very competitive. As for the inside of the store, the board game section is actually a little smaller than I expected but there's a huge gameplay section in the back, which even on a Tuesday night was pretty packed. The guy behind the counter was super nice and helped me find the games I was looking for and even gave me a little demo of a game I had been looking at in store. He also told me about all the different gaming nights they hold. Great place - will definitely drop by here again in the future, and possibly check out one of their gaming nights. read more

This store is bright, open, clean, has a large play area, has a library of games that you can try in-store, friendly people behind the counter, and owners who are great to know. This is a store that's kid friendly (with a section specifically for family or kid-targeted games), while at the same time hosting old-school wargaming and other games skewed to an older audience. With connections to a number of companies and local hobby groups, there's almost always a way to join a league or a tournament or a weekly gaming group of some kind. If they don't have something in stock they'll order it (quick, too), and their prices are incredibly reasonable (they have a rewards program and at the time of this review a general 10% off of MSRP). I've been visiting since the first day they opened, and it's a favorite. Oh! And they're next door to a pizza place that'll deliver your order right to your table when it's ready. read more

All I can really do is echo the good reviews previously filed by other reviewers as they are all valid. Unlike most stores, more than half of the floor space is devoted to gaming tables and space to play. This is very important to us nerds and geeks as a gathering place. The store provides terrain tables and a large and wide assortment of terrain in 15mm and 25/28mm scales. This is a huge plus as nearly half of a gamer's cost is on terrain. There are a wide assortment of board, miniature, and collectible card games available that are discounted from MSRP. I always feel welcome here, and this is most certainly my game store of choice in the area. read more

Very Nice Store. While I found the selection to be somewhat limited (understandable as I was looking for specific Warhammer minis) but the service was polite and the store had a good feel all around. They seem to be fairly active organizing play of various games on their many tables. I hope to get the chance to spend more time there. read more

As far as Game stores go, this is it, folks. Well lit, gaming tables, clean, staffed with racks of a variety of games available and a few open games for people to try! I'd like to see a bit more variety of games offered, but that's nit picking. It's by far the nicest game store in North Carolina. read more

Really cool store. They carry a pretty good variety of games for all ages and types. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about many of the games. The back half of the store is a lot of table space for playing games from the store's library, which had most of the games they have for sale. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there already about 4 tables full of people playing various games when we got there. Very laid back environment. I'm sure we'll be back. read more
