This shop offers a wide selection of anime merchandise, manga, k-pop, and snacks. The small, yet long shop is packed with items. Many of the items I have seen before at anime conventions and the prices are similar. Pricier than you can find online. However I like the benefit of purchasing these items at a local shop year round rather than online or at annual conventions. The store is fairly organized. They have a large amount of merchandise and organize it by anime and item type with a few mixed bins. Manga is in the middle, figurines and posters along the walls, candy in the front to the left, etc. Most of the items are price marked. Prices seemed to be missing from the pillows and blankets. I even offered to help tie the balloons myself, but he said no and kept repeating that it would take him an hour. He clearly didn't want to do any work. I told him I'd wait, and he sighed like I had just ruined his day and said "whatever." I paid for the balloons, but he never even started on them. I eventually just left with my unfilled balloons. I still think pretty highly of AP, but it seems like there has been a big shift. When we first visited, it felt like I could find wider variety of products across many genres of anime and manga. Today, that selection feels quite small. I feel like if you're a fan of things outside of mainstream anime and manga, Anime Paradaisu is probably going to disappoint you. I could be wrong of course, but it feels like a mainstream only shop, which is more than fair, but not really for my taste anymore. The store is beautiful and comfy, and filled with plenty of product. That's not the issue I have, it just feels different from what it used to be. And that is disappointing.
