You can genuinely get better prices from notoriously bad buyers such as pawn shops or gamestop. On top of this the owner of this location has changed this location name from "North raleigh" to "Litchford Road" in an attempt to distract from controversy. Employees were caught on camera, attempting to steal a 1000+ dollar gold C3P0 minifigure during a sting. They then proceeded to get hammered across both Yelp and Google, to the degree they abused the report systems to have the reviews removed. You can see evidence of this in the reviews Yelp doesn't show you. As you can see, a grand majority of the reviews are purely negative, and that's the only reason they were removed. TLDR: Owner is mass reporting/removing negative reviews, the business is shady and not trustworthy, they've been panned virally and now they're trying to dodge accountability. Don't provide them with your patronage. Businesses like these only serve to permanently damage hobbies anyway.

Dealing with Brad and Don was a terrific experience…read more I recently inherited gold and coins (US and foreign). Now, what I know about the valuing coins and gold is, well, next to nothing. So I clearly was playing in their ballpark. Sure, I did my due diligence to see generally speaking what I might expect to get for these items. Boy, one coin on eBay was $250-$900. Anyway, long story short I was able to come up with values that seemed reasonable. Then subtracting what I thought their overhead would be and I had in my head general selling prices for my stuff. I met with Don, their chief numismatist. He's been in the business for decades and boy, did I get a lesson on not just my gold and coins but on a lot of other fascinating info as well. It turns out that I was pretty darn close on my stuff. Over estimated on some, got more for others. And, surprisingly, I overestimated their margin. I felt respected as a complete and utter novice, treated very well, received more than a fair price and an education to boot.

I could be wrong of course, but it feels like a mainstream only shop, which is more than fair, but not really for my taste anymore. While the review is opinion based, I don't know what the reviewer was expecting in such a niche market. No, we weren't necessarily greeted right away when entering the store as there were a couple of other customers inside, but as we were looking around, the lone worker on site gave me a quick rundown of what they are able to help with. When the shop emptied out a little, the gentleman and I had a pretty good conversation about how the shop came to be and how they managed to survive during a pandemic, while being such a niche genre. They have a customer in me, and I will 100% be back. I walked out spending a decent amount of money for my first trip and I feel like I got out with a good amount of merchandise that I haven't been able to find online.

The experience I had at the custom frame counter was next level. Mary and custom framing was the bomb to work with. Her customer service skills are Sharp, her listening skills were fantastic and her designing skills were next level. Custom framing projects can be a lot of work, as they are extremely expensive, you want to make sure you get the best design put together for the money. Mary allowed me to play with different frames, mats, and glass combinations to get the exact look that I wanted within my price range. She was patient and very kind. She even stayed 35 minutes beyond her shift to make sure I was assisted. She could've easily handed me to another employee, but instead she continued to work with me to make sure my frame order was exactly what I was dreaming of. Thank you so much, Mary!
