We had a very positive and fun shopping experience at their Cary location. This store has a large variety of STEM toys, cool gift items and surprisingly pets ! The costumer service here is unmatched and the store layout is clean and engaging. We visited today just to browse for Christmas gifts. My daughter stumbled across colorful biospheres that house African Dwarf frogs. A small aquatic frog native to parts of Equatorial Africa. Each biosphere comes with 2 frogs. Jordan educated us on care instructions and we found this be a very affordable low maintenance pet for a child. These frogs are adorable in pairs ! We were informed that we receive free food within the first year of owning the frogs. The lifespan is up to 6 years. Much better than fish. We enjoyed browsing the rest of the store and I scored some personalized ornaments for our Christmas tree 3 for $10. My daughter identified a company called Dope Slime whose items are not sold everywhere. The staff was very friendly and courteous and we can't wait to come back and visit the other locations. My daughter found this store via TikTok and kept begging to go, we live about 3hrs away. For her birthday weekend, we decided to take her for a mini trip to her fave store. She went crazy!!!! They had every single fidget toy and they had sooo many toys, gadgets , games etc. They staff was very friendly. We were immediately greeted once we walked in. They also noticed it was my daughters birthday so they gave her a free fidget and she took bday pictures with their bday sign. Such a fun store!!! She said it was her best birthday because of this store and her shopping spree!! Thank you for making her day!! read more

Imagine the scene from Big when they enter FAO Schwartz -- this store kind of gives you that experience! Both my toddler-aged daughter and husband seemed amazed at all there was to see when they walked in. My husband let out an audible "wow" and my daughter didn't quite seem to know where to go first because everything looked like so much fun to her: she decided that the huge stuffed bear demanded her immediate attention, and then just continued to enjoy everything she could in the store while we were there. I found the prices here very reasonable and along the lines of what I see in other shops (and a to z online shops!). I found the selection of items here really wonderful too as I saw some toys/craft supplies that I hadn't seen in other places before. I also really appreciated that the sales people weren't trying to push me to buy the most expensive items either. I found Janet to be very helpful directing me to other toys and items that I hadn't considered for my daughter, not pushy at all. She seemed very genuine. I love that there are toys out and accessible for play in the store. It is set up for the children to get a chance to play with the toys which is wonderful. There was a train set, lego area, sand box, kitchen set and even more out and ready for busy, little hands. The store seems very tidy too perhaps because there are items out for those small shoppers to manipulate so they aren't pulling everything off the shelves! There is A LOT to see here for a huge span of ages (even newborn/infant items!). This is a really wonderful shop. We'll definitely be back! read more

Came around the corner of our aisle - very strange because you hardly ever see this anymore. We left and won't be back - this may seem small, but we've come too far this past year to have an employee (or worse manager) not take Covid precautions seriously. Usually love the staff here and I've been a long time customer here. My daughter loves all the cool gadgets and has for a long while been getting squishmallows from here for her collection well before they became nearly impossible to get. All the staff have been super helpful, but with the recent squishmallow craze the staff have gotten very inconsiderate and blatantly lie to their customers about squishmallows. I called this store probably an hour before they posted on their instagram about stocking squishmallows about whether they had a specific squishmallow in stock as my daughter was really wanting the cow one for her birthday and they lied straight to me saying they didn't have any of that one in stock nor did they know when they would get it in. Not even an hour later they posted on their story about stocking that specific squishmallow I had just called about. How disgusting that they would lie straight to the customers that are supporting their businesses. Additionally, they claim they don't do holds, however I overheard one of the staff talking about having extra holds in the back. They also lie about the stock they have. When the shelves were empty and I was asking if they had anymore, they claimed to not have any and then I proceeded to see them go into the back and take one out and hand it to a girl. I understand the popularity of it, but as a customer I would appreciate honesty. If you aren't allowed to disclose what you have just say that!! Don't go around lying. That's super sneaky and horrible service. While I'm fully aware that squishmallows are just stuffed animals, this is the exact reason why I'm writing this. Honestly disgusted that this business would go so far as to lie to their customers about stuffed animals! I'm not sure what changed about this business. They used to be so customer centric but now it seems like all they want to do is milk the popularity of squishmallows and keep on the cash cow that squishmallow are right now. I wonder what they will do when squishmallows are no longer such a hot topic, and they've driven away all of their loyal customers who have been with them well before before this craze. My daughter was so upset by this, and I'm honestly appalled by this behavior. I'll be directing my business elsewhere. read more

A fun toy store for kids. Silly bandz., shrinky dinks, web kinz, disney dolls, toy cars, legos -- nearly any type or kind of toy you or your kids might want. This store meets a need, as the day I was there I saw about 6 kids of various ages either sitting on the floor playing with the demo toys or outside the store unwrapping the toys their parents had just purchased. And in two instances the kids were ready to go and the parents kept holding back to make one more attempt on the particular toy of choice. read more

This is my absolute favorite store to shop for a child's present! The store is laid out in a way where it is very easy and convenient to find the perfect toy. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. We have always loved this store for its great variety of cool, educational and fun toys. However, I am compelled to write a review about the AMAZING service I received recently at the store. I was shopping for materials for goodie bags for my son's birthday party. The staff not only helped me pick out the right items in my price range, but they helped separate items from packages into each individual goodie bags, then they wrapped each bag (25 of them) and kept them ready for us to pick them up the following day! And all this during their busiest season! I will return over and over again :-) I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful lady who helped me (Janet?) but THANK YOU ALL including management of the store who supported this level of service by the staff! read more

I happen to stop by the Learning Express a couple weeks ago being the loyal customer that I am (and will no longer be) I experienced something quite disturbing. A man who I believe was the owner of the store happened to be very self-conscious. He was talking very rudely to his staff during operating hours and in front of customers. The staff member who helped me and my wife at the register was very helpful, although when my wife needed to return an item that was given as a gift to one of my kids, the manager looked very indecisive as if she did not understand what needed to be done. I was not pleased with my visit. My wife and kids will not be returning to this location. read more
