Flames of War, Warhammer, Wings of War, cars, model rockets, model planes (some remote controlled) . . . . Hangar 18 has all the requisite things and game pieces you need for any of the above. If your hobby is model planes or cars, they'll build or repair if you'd prefer to let someone else do it. They'll even add the decals. If that's not enough, in the corner, near the door, are the balsa self-assemble airplanes I haven't seen in longer than I care to remember. I didn't know they still made them. Very cool. Although it's still a relatively new store, they have been holding events for Battle Tech and Flames of War (nothing's on the upcoming calendar yet) if you're a gamer. (There is a yahoo group for league play, though.) On the day I visited, there were maybe 4 or 5 other people in the store, debating battle tactics, while assembling cars or planes on the back tables and occasionally debating why superman needed to dodge bullets. My inner geek really likes this place. A lot.

Friendly staff but noone was wearing a mask despite county ordinance. I'll return after the pandemic.

Top notch customer service! We received expert advise. They were patient and helpful as my son asked a bunch of questions.

Ask the Community - Hangar 18 Hobbies

Do you guys repair dji drones?

No, we do not work on DJI drones.

Do you sell Carrom Board too? Thanks in advance

We are sorry but we do not currently carry Carrom Game Boards. Thanks for asking.

Do you sell 1/400 model airplanes?

Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately, we don't currently have any airplanes in that scale. The closest would be 1:350 and 1:300 scale aircraft.

Update: Sam who runs the shop reached out and we had a very great conversation about my experience…read moreand the hobby overall. He himself was not tracking on what other shops were doing on trade in value and we pretty much swapped our options. Brick and mortar shops are having a tough time battling against breakers and distributors in general and need to eat themselves. The hobby is just in weird point at this time. Thank you Sam. Just moved to the area from the west and had to find a new card shop. Cardiac happened to be the closest to my new house. Checked it out and bought a card at an okay price for my personal collection. They don't really budge on price much no matter what the last sales have been. Most they'll take off is $5 on a $200+ card even if the last sold for $50+ less. I made an appointment for a bulk trade in for a card I really wanted from their shop. After an hour of sorting through my cards, they finally had a price. They valued my cards at $360+. I was excited because that was just enough for the card I was looking at. They then offered 60% of the value for store credit, saying cash would be even less. I was expecting a minimum 70% due to it being a shop but I already waited more than an hour and drove all the way there so just took the offer and got a cheaper card I was interested in. They claim to not care about profit and care about the hobby and real collectors but offering 60% is insane. They were selling "Hobby" blasters of the NFL Select. I bought one and pulled a zebra, noticing that it was a purple shock zebra and not a true zebra. Anyone in the hobby knows that hobby have true zebras and retail have the shock. So they are selling retail blasters and claiming them as hobby blasters.

This time even without wrap all items were like 40% higher in price. I loved this store but they really screw up here. They usually sold out before this time they couldnt even do it. Lot of people left the line including me. Hope they learn the lesson cause if they keep doing this they will lose customers. Im better off going to target and gamestop than here.

This was honestly one of the most frustrating and horrible experiences I've ever had at a store. It…read morewas so bad that I still remember the names of the people working. Jason and Athena were some of the rudest, most unhelpful employees I've ever met. Actually, I shouldn't even call them employees because they were refusing to work. I'm sorry to write this review, but it really was that bad. We were having a baby shower the next day and I just needed a few balloons to mark where people should walk. We got there at 6:45pm, and the store didn't close until 9, so there was plenty of time. I picked out my balloons and went to the register for help. Athena first said she couldn't do it and told me to go to another line. Then Jason said he didn't do it, so I went back to her, and she again said she couldn't do it. Finally, Jason said, "Well, it's going to take us about an hour, so you probably should skip it." I only had 12 balloons. Not fancy ones, just the cheap regular ones. I asked why it would take so long, and he said they were short-staffed. Which, fine, I'd understand if there were other people waiting but there weren't. It was just us. I even offered to help tie the balloons myself, but he said no and kept repeating that it would take him an hour. He clearly didn't want to do any work. I told him I'd wait, and he sighed like I had just ruined his day and said "whatever." I paid for the balloons, but he never even started on them. I eventually just left with my unfilled balloons. Horrible experience. I'll be going to a different Michaels from now on.

The store is well stocked and I've always found what I came for. As a seamstress, I wish the fabric selection was better. And as a knitter, I wish there were more non-acrylic yarn options and more fingering and DK weight yarns.
