The chaser and manager were nice the woman who helped at the fabric counter barely said a word to me and my kiddo. After they came to the counter and was meander around without saying a word, I said we will need 2 yards of each fabric please. I got 2 yards ok. Then after the end said have a nice day but still could have just been a little more upfront and communicate. Most everything was on sale which is always nice and the selection is vast! The people who work here are SUPER grouchy! They all seem to hate their jobs. No one smiled or acted friendly when I asked for help finding something. I couldn't find what I needed and, instead of walking me over to where the item was, two different people just pointed to the back of the store while barely looking up from stocking. I wandered the aisles for 15 min before finally finding what I needed. And PLEASE can you get a normal point of sale system? There's nothing charming or nostalgic about having to type in all the prices. The lines at the register are always so long, in part because the checkout process is super inefficient. I stopped in HL with a friend as I usually don't support this store, but she wanted to look for some wedding items and I accompanied her. I was reminded how they carry beautiful items and the quality is noticeably nicer. The Halloween merch is in and slowly the Christmas items are creeping in. If you need any type of craft, flower, vase, etc this is your stop. Many of the displays had 40% off so there are bargains to be had. read more

Unaccommodating and Uninformed About Service Dogs I visited this store recently and was extremely disappointed by how unaccommodating the staff were toward my service dog. My dog performs a medically necessary task: she must sniff certain items to alert me to triggers that could lead to seizure activity. This is a legitimate, trained service‑dog function protected under the ADA. Despite calmly explaining this, I was told that my dog "could not smell anything" in the store. Not only is this incorrect, it shows a lack of understanding about service animals and the law. Service dogs are allowed to perform their trained tasks, and businesses are required to accommodate I hope this store takes the time to educate its staff on ADA requirements and how to interact respectfully with customers who rely on service animals. If you're looking for quality ribbon for bow making or quality deco mesh, skip this store. Ribbon selection is mainly for fresh flower arrangements, waterproof, or sewing projects, not wired. Deco mesh selection is virtually non-existent. Many rolls were opened and frayed. Very limited selection. read more

I have issues with Hobby Lobby corporation's politics........but this is the best craft store in town. Quilting and sewing fabric, needlecrafts, painting supplies, frames, wedding decor, florals, beadwork and home decor items - they have it all. I'm into beadwork and crystals, and if anyone in the RDU area has a better stock of beads, crystals and jewels, I haven't found it. From inexpensive sparkly "jewels" to the finest Swarovski Crystals, this store has them all. The shop is extremely well-organized and user-friendly. Your problem won't be in finding what you are looking for. It's the distraction of so much beautiful, intriguing and affordable merchandise. They have the best selection of crafting supplies in the area but it is true that store employees ignore you and will not greet you when you walk in. They made me feel very uncomfortable like I was in their way. One employee was stocking an are I was shopping in and wouldn't speak to me or even move her cart so I could shop. 10/19/22 around 7:15p.m. I Came in to buy fabric from this establishment for the first time. African-American lady at the fabric section did not greet me, ask me if I needed help, did not acknowledge my presence at all. There's a sign that says to not touch fabric that is on the top shelf to ask for assistance. The entire time I was there she was talking to a customer in front of me. I stood behind patiently. She not once said, " i'll be right with you" or, " how can I help you?" In the middle of their lengthy conversation, she simply stared and asks "did you need help or something? ..." I told her I need the fabric up top. She tells me I can get it myself. I pointed out the sign to her so she knows I'm simply following policy. She quickly responds OK & continues on her conversation with the customer in front of me. Shortly after I am finished picking up my fabric and I am ready to get it cut. Not once did she tell me that she will be right with me. No one was called to back her up. I felt like my presence was not acknowledged. The customer in front of me had a lot of fabric to be cut, which I understand. But on top of that they carried on talking and completely stopped cutting fabric to converse with the customer.
