Deco is what my boutique dreams are made of. You know those stores that are filled with things you never knew you needed but yet instantly cannot live without once you see them? Yes, well thanks to the highly skilled purchasing team at Deco this is exactly what you will find. I stumbled upon this store while traveling and I am so happy that I did. It has so much variety in gifts and home decor that you will surely find something for everyone. What I love about stores like Deco is that they make it easy for you to shop for that tricky friend who has everything. Maybe they have all they need in this world, but do they have an inspirational Lizzo mug that says "100% that bitch!"? Probably not. They've got walls upon walls of cards, gifts for the kiddos and honestly so many things that are perfect for yourself or a friend. If I lived in NC I would surely be here for every special occasion. The staff was super friendly and I truly enjoyed my visit!

An evening visit of shopping and browsing Deco, it is a very interesting and unique collection of gifts and presents. Odd, unusual, political and Raleigh-centric in most instances, there are all sorts of things. Tshirts, coffee mugs, greeting cards, dish towels, soaps, too many different things to list. But if you're looking for a unique holiday or birthday gift, Deco is the spot. Generally, we're not supposed to write reviews of the business when we're visiting them for a Yelp Event. But the informal nature of the event (reviewed here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/yelp-event-an-oak-city-evening-at-deco-raleigh?hrid=2B4spky8XThm9WXjHhEzVg) tells me that we didn't get a special interaction with the business. For my Charlotte friends, Deco Raleigh would be similar to our own Paper Skyscraper, https://www.yelp.com/biz/paper-skyscraper-charlotte?hrid=ruk-SVII3JwUVNmFlUu77w [Review 12492 overall, 2282 of 2019.]

I absolutely loved this cute store! They had the cutest things and I just wanted to buy it all. They do keep the doors shut and ask you to ring a bell to enter. You're then asked if you have an appointment, we didn't but were accommodated right away. They provide hand sanitizer at the door and ask that you put anything that you touch into baskets that are located throughout the store. They had a variety of things that were all super cool and made great souvenirs. I ended up leaving with a Christmas ornament and a moonshine glass that I adored. The employee that was there was really friendly and answered all of my questions. She was helpful without being overbearing. I'm glad that I found this store and will definitely be back given the chance!

I love this shop! A great place to find unique curated gifts or some new decor that you didn't know you needed! I always find things I love every time I'm here and they have a pretty good rewards program when you spend a certain amount! Definitely a great selection of local goods and unique finds!

You know places that just make you happy? Deco is hands down one of those places. It's my favorite place in Raleigh to do retail therapy. It's impossible for me to go in there and come out empty-handed. They have such a wide array of goods. Seriously they have thousands of items in the store. They offer things from incredibly scented candles to dog leashes and now they are the official retailer for Holly Aiken in Raleigh. Each item you pick up is so well-made and something you want to take home with you. If you're looking for the perfect addition to your home decor, look no farther, they have potted plants, painted canvases, little knick-knacks, and even lighting. Each item is unique and you're not going to look like your average basic person. I know that if I get a gift for someone here, they will love it, and well if they don't I will gladly take it off their hands. But, seriously, they have to love it. And, the best thing is, if you don't know what to get someone, you will find inspiration and you will find the perfect gift.

Love coming in and checking out new items during the holidays. This is another downtown souvenir (nice) shop I like to visit when sending items back home. Today I walked passed the store and saw lots of pink! Walked in and founds some funny VDay cards and a few items for my desk. This is a great shop! You can find almost anything you need, from funny pencils, kitchenware, greeting cards, stationery, baby items, personal items all the way to phone chargers. Staff is always friendly!

I'd never heard of Deco before until I was invited for a Yelp Elite event, and I'm happy that I signed up. Deco is a super dope, local owned "gift shop" like boutique. It has a ton of cute trinkets, books, handmade purses and wallets, kids items, and so much more! My favorite part was the jewelry, which was pretty pricey but cute. I really loved the flow of the store and how unique and trendy the items were. I'd recommend coming here for a gift for a person that has everything. You'll definitely be able to find something because they have a little something for everyone. Being downtown, just be prepared to park in a parking deck or drive around to find parking. I parked in a parking deck across the street so it wasn't too bad.

Such a cute shop for gifts and locally made items! In the front of the store, they have North Carolina souvenirs like mugs, bags, keychains. You can also find creative and beautiful merchandise made by local artisans. Towards the back of the store they have fun items like coasters with misheard lyrics, socks, t shirts, bags, etc. I love meandering through the store and seeing all of the other things for sale here! It definitely leans more towards being a souvenir and gift store BUT they also have some educational things too. I found several posters that I want to purchase for homeschooling. The people are friendly and welcoming here. It's a fun place to check out if you are new to the area or want to find something unique.

Deco was one of my favorite stores with unique and good quality gift offerings, located in downtown Raleigh. The old store, that is. When they opened the new one, I thought, "Great, more good stuff!" But its not necessarily so. Yes, they have more stuff, some pretty darn awesome. But, after going back three times, my thought was, "If I ever see the word F*** ONE more time, it'll be too soon". The dignity of the feminist is diminished greatly, when splattered with every cheap vulgarity known. On the one hand they're feminists, they make that clear. Great. On the other hand, they're just dirty-mouthed reactionaries, rather than bright revolutionaries. If you're a college aged rebel who wants to read f*** about 50+ times while perusing the expensive goods you don't want to buy, this is the place for you.

A fun and interesting little gift shop in downtown Raleigh, I finally had an excuse to go check out this store for some Xmas gifts. From the outside you've got a cool neon sign in (of course) art deco style while the inside opens up to a space crammed with knic-knacks, postcards, prints, candles and more. Definitely a great browsing experience with stuff displayed at all different levels, make sure you look up and down as you roam through Deco. With a mish-mash of hard to find gift items and fashion items, Deco leans pretty heavily towards a female clientele but I had fun poking through and ended up getting flask and candle made out of a recycled bourbon bottle. Deco also works on providing a great selection of local goods to support the local creative community, nice! Service at the counter was very good and apparently they will wrap your gifts for you if interested. All-in-all I enjoyed my visit to this eclectic little shop and love the fact it's in downtown Raleigh. While I love my restaurants and bars, more independent retail and shopping is definitely welcome ITB and in the downtown core!

...Finally made it to this charming little boutique we keep passing by in the car on the way out of downtown. It's so chock full of darlings and details that one must stand in place examining each square inch just to take them all in. Bought a fun "919, y'all" button for kicks and giggles, and got the 5yo a small writing pen - except that I liked it so well, I had to keep it for myself and get her a matching one. Great baby gifts and cards - coming here for the next shower or toddler birthday. Staff and owner are friendly and fun. Definitely worth a visit.

I love this store! They have so many fun things such a cards, socks, candles, books, games, etc. It's the perfect place to find fun gifts or just try something new. This store sells products of local creators so it's a great way to support local shops as well. If you're around the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by and taking a look. I guarantee you'll find something quirky and unique.

Such a cute shop with unique and fun items! This is the perfect spot to shop for one of a kind gift items. There's everything from household items to jewelry to funky socks to cards to baby items! I received a squirrel rattle from here as a baby gift and I purchased a fashionable teething necklace that I can wear and not worry about my baby chewing on it. Prices seem reasonable for a store in downtown Raleigh. There is a lot of on street parking around this shop so it's not usually too tough to find a spot within a block or two away, but you do have to pay at certain times.

Cute shop. Employees looked miserable, never once greeted anyone that walked in and barely spoke when I was making my purchase.

This store is pretty big inside; you would never know it by looking at it from outside. It is filled with treasures both big and small. Like any antique store (or like most), it is a bit crowded with items. Personally, I like that. You really are 'hunting' for treasures here. Yesterday I found this beautiful trinket on the floor of a booth...I would have never found it had I been in a rush. I highly recommend you take your time here. Google reviewers seem more critical of Hunt & Gather and its staff...but personally I had a very different experience. On Google, people wrote that staff was following them, being rude, and that this place was overpriced. Now...your mileage may vary...but I found the staff to be extremely kind. They would check in on me a couple times just to see if I needed help, but largely let me do my own hunting in peace. I think some items are certainly pricey and I can't quite understand why, but by and large I found the prices to be competitive. For example, you can get an entire Noritake china set (with 12 settings!) for $450. Anywhere else this could go easily for $700+. You can buy some dupes at HomeGoods for sure, but HomeGoods aint that cheap -- and I'd argue some of the pieces here are priced even more competitively than HomeGoods. I bought 3 chinoiserie vases/jars yesterday (at ~$30 a pop) and am soooo enamored by them. All in all, I'd recommend you swing by especially if you're furnishing, or refurnishing, your home. There are some really nice things here....and I think I may come by every now and then just to see what's in stock!
