The DJ on 3/8 was absolutely horrendous. Strictly songs from your 6th grade dance. He was very adamant that he wouldn't take any requests even if the dance floor was not feeling his current song. Would be a very fun atmosphere with the current DJ who could read the crowd read more

I love this place! So fun, I love to go dancing here! It is usually very busy closer to 11pm. There are bouncers at the door and walking around when it is busy, as a woman it is nice to see bouncers walking around especially on the dance floor. Service at the bar is pretty fast. It's a fun bar to go to, especially if your a fan of The Christmas Story. The Leg Lamp Lodge is on top of another bar so you can flip flop and get a different atmosphere. The Leg Lamp has a very cozy feel. Lots of large wooden tables and lounge chairs in front of the fire place. They also have a few games like shuffle board. From the layout it looks like they might have dancing and such or other performances. If I lived in the area I would definitely visit again. read more

What can be more fun than combining the Wisconsin Northwoods and the Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story? In Appleton, not much! An open, one flight of stairs up from the street place the Leg Lamp Lodge is a hoot! The space has tables, foosball tables, dart boards and couches for lounging. The bartneders are friendly and wear fishnet stockings just like the leg lamp. Drink prices are reasonable and the music is pure 80's MTV. An all around fun spot to spend an hour or four! read more

Last night I showed up here and I bought a beer, I walked over to where my cousin was playing ski ball with a friend and I was jammin to some tunes and all of a sudden a bouncer walks up to my cousin and says he will smash my cousins face in and had some other choice words. My cousin looked at me confused and We didn't really understand what was going on. The bouncer walked away and returned to us trying to antagonize a fight and I calmly asked him what the issue was because I was genuinely confused why he was being so hostile and where this was coming from because , I had just arrived and taken 1 drink of the beer I bought. He then turned his attention to me and started verbally assaulting me, accusing me of being on drugs and saying "you people are always breaking shit and being disorderly" and I looked at him and asked why he was now so upset with me because I just wanted to know what was wrong so we could all fix the situation and go about our night. At this point in time he was screaming in my face and getting physical with my cousin talking about how he wanted to go outside so he could beat our ass and then we got thrown out. Absolutely none of it made any sense, I can only assume the bouncer we delt with was the one on drugs or maybe he had some stuff going on at home and decided to take it out on us like a 5 year old little girl. Either way this was not professional at all. The bouncer had the intention of starting a fight, he wanted to cause an issue and he wanted us to react so he could lay his hands on us. I do not recommend this establishment at all. It's not safe, I got thrown up on a wall and almost thrown down a flight of stairs for simply asking why the bouncer was upset. It was completely uncalled for and unjustified. I also saw a few girls my cousin works with that he said are 100% underage and when he asked them about it they said they had fake ids, they showed them to us and they looked terrible. I have never seen a place run by the bouncers like this in my life. Hopefully the owner of the establishment hires some professionals in the future before this place gets shut down. Either way I can say with certainty I will absolutely never come back here again. It's not safe, it's not professional, the bouncers are children and are letting underage girls in and assaulting customers for absolutely no reason. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. But hey if your underage and need a place to go they got you covered. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

The most disgusting bar on College avenue by far. Employees were rude enough to blatantly insult my friend and I when we were only a step or two away. So disrespectful, you cannot have people like this working at the door and expect to make money. I will NEVER return to this bar unless their service changes. read more

This place is a welcome change from the sports bars that line College Ave. Kitschy, campy, hilarious. Wicker furniture, leg lamps, weird taxidermy, wood paneling...campy-ugly decor. Dart boards, a pool table, small dance floor. Booths and tables, and a section with couches. The female bartenders dress like prostitutes, but I think it's a uniform since they all were dressed pretty much the same. Relatively cheap drinks, nothing fancy or special here. It's the atmosphere that sucks people in and keeps them there. A fun place to go for drinks that is never super-crowded and isn't full of annoying jocks. read more

Nice bar with good atmosphere and music. The bartenders are attractive and dressed nice. Like the Leg Lamp logo, the female bartenders are wearing fishnet stockings, which adds a subtle sexiness to their classy dress. read more

Friends and I were in Appleton for the weekend. The LLL, like most Appleton bars, keeps patron count to the fire and safety codes. Understandable. Unfortunately, one of the young men, Ben, one of the "bouncers" was beyond rude, and extremely unprofessional. Ben went out of his way to be obnoxious, and no one was doing anything to warrant is behavior. The LLL is right above The Bar and I had stepped over to ask thire bouncer a question, completely unrelated to Ben, and he was yammering on about, "You can even complain to my manager if you want and he'll just think I'm doing a good job." Well, after our poor wait service for our drinks and dinner, I heeded Ben's advice and complained to a couple of people about Ben and the slow service. This bar was listed as an out-of-towners favorite bar to visit. Yeah, well, NOT this out-of-towner. NOT impressed. read more
