I used to come here often, I havent been in awhile, because the blended drinks always seemed to taste different, depending on who made them. Also for awhile, their blender wasnt working properly, so they still served the blended ones with ice chunks in every sip, without telling you first. Thats what turned me off this place. read more

I used to live right down the street from here so I would go all of the time to get açai bowls. They were so good and I prob spent too much money on them haha. I ended up moving so I didn't go there as often. It is now completely out-of-the-way to go there on the way to work. A few weeks ago I was craving a bowl and decided to leave for work extra early so I could stop to get one. I got there and was thrilled to see that there was only one car in front of me in line. I waited probably a good 10-15 mins then left because it was taking way too long. I wouldn't have waited that long normally but I really wanted one of their acai bowls. I tried another day after that and the same thing happened. I decided today to try one more time. I got there nice and early and there weren't any cars. It was quick so I was excited. I got to work and started eating. I was so disappointed. It was nowhere near how good it used to be. :-/ I'm not sure what happened, but I'll probably go somewhere else from now on. I would have given less than three stars if it weren't for how friendly the employees are. read more

This place has the most amazing acai bowl you will ever taste. I used to go every single day, but stopped last year when I felt like the 2 girls who worked the morning shift were annoyed that I ordered the bowl every day. One time they pretended they didn't hear me so they didn't have to make it. I still gave the place 4 stars because the coffee is good, the bowls are great, and the owner who works on the weekend is awesome too! I just tried the acia bowl for the first time: Yum! I ordered it without agave syrup and it was plenty sweet. My kids asked if we could go there instead of ice cream next time... seriously. I had a regular cup of joe with it, not bad. I drink black coffee, so a bad cup really can ruin my day. I'll definitely be back, as the drive thru at Starbucks sucks. The only complaint: the lady making everything called it eXpresso...come on! learn how to say what you're serving! Everyone thinks their local cafe has the best acai bowls. But this place uses real acai; not the pureed kind that tastes like it just came out of the freezer. The owner is very nice and personable and strives for customer satisfaction. Everytime I go here she gets it. I am not a coffee connoisseur but I know my way around an acai bowl and hers are fantastic! (I usually go all out and get peanut butter, coconut, the works) but you can opt for less frills if you wish. It's drive through too, which is convenient. read more

This place overcharged me for a 16oz americano. She charged me 3.20 and the posted price is definitely not that. It should have been 2.45. I didn't notice it till after I left or else I would have said something. I'm definitely never coming back to this place. Lean Bean used to be my go to Acai Bowl place. The last few times (yes I went back to make sure it wasn't just a fluke) have been extremely disappointing. The "acai" bowls are more like granola bowls. They are 1/4, or less, Acai, 1/2 Granola 1/4 fruit. I wish they would go back to how they used to make them! They used to be perfect. read more

I went to this place weeks ago and was very impressed that I'm mad at myself for not writing this review earlier. Seriously, after my experience, the first thing I thought about is that there is hope for humanity and that I must write a 5-star review on Yelp, not because they need it, but simply because they deserve it. I visited the store because I was having a mad craving for an acai bowl and this place showed up at the top of the list on yelp. It was near my school which made it more convenient. When I got to the place, I ordered the regular acai bowl and waited a little bit because she had a few other customers who got there before me. She treats her customers fairly. When she handed me my beautifully handcrafted acai bowl, I realized that I didn't have my wallet with me and felt super bad because the bowl was already made. I humbly returned the bowl because I couldn't pay for it. But she told me to take the bowl and pay her back next time I come by. I was really hungry and was driving all over the place for good food that it was really a despair to realize I didn't have my wallet. But she was super duper nice! Of course, I came back to pay for my acai bowl and to purchase another one. That experience is pretty much the best customer service I have ever received and that made the Lean Bean my absolute most favorite spot.
