Whether it's the lack of knowledge or care in customer service. I've stopped going to big chains now and have fully given these guys my business. Aside from the occasional ammo pickup but, besides during this whole fiasco, Mazama usually has all the ammo I could ever need. They've always been super helpful and really knowledgeable. And they always had what I'm looking for. Looking forward to fishing time and seeing what else they've got to offer. From what I've seen, they look like they could have just about anything I could ever need in regards to fishing as well so we'll see! Also, just found out that I can come in and work on my AR there and they would help me out as well. So looking forward to doing that too! The checker, that was neutral at best, for the first visit must have saw me go to a different line and there were only 2. She came up behind me and said: Hey did you just come through my line and purchase your limit of items. I said yes, but please relax I am purchasing unrelated items. She just turned around and went back to her cash register. While I appreciate her energetic desire to follow rules, she may get a much better reaction by starting the discussion with a more polite opening, and thus the lower rating in my mind. To make it more complex, the gentleman that helped me was very pleasant and handled the situation with a calm and professional demeanor. So I'll settle on 3 stars.

He thought a fishing trip would be something that i would enjoy (even though neither of us were fishermen at all) He booked a 2-3 day guided tour through the Fly Fishers Place and it was an absolute adventure that i still to this day will remember for the rest of my life. I cant quite remember our guide's name but he made sure that we were well trained, equipped and that we caught plenty of fish. I'm writing this because as i said, my father just passed. A few "early releases" were just as exciting as the healthy bows that made it to the net. I was able to practice and refine (with tips from Sequoia) nymphing, streamers, and dry fly techniques. Because of the experience, I decided to leave without making any purchases or asking about guided trips.
