Loved this restaurant...who knew there was a cute Hungarian, farm-to-table restaurant in Pepperell. We had the beef borscht and chicken paprika. Both were delicious (as was the homemade bread). Would've ordered the stuff cabbage too, but they were out. One piece of constructive criticism- lose the TV, which is constantly looping tacky pictures of your food. You have a cute, homey restaurant...the TV makes it feel like a cheap pizza joint. read more

Great local option. Came here for lunch. Just shared the Goulash and left very happy. Price to serving size felt off but nothing to complain about with the food itself. Ambiance was interesting. Amazing food, great vegetarian options, very good pizza, very nice owners and staff.

Stopped here and decided to try it out. The food was amazing. They have bread before the meal that is very fresh. My son got the chicken sandwich. It was huge and the fried that came with it were some of the best fries I ever had. read more

Food was excellent. I mean excellent. The Chef is attentive and every part of the meal is taken into account and meticulous. Dressings are homemade, bread is baked fresh! Drinks are great! I came late into the weekend so I didn't get to try the weekly Hungarian special but I will definitely be back. They run out of things closer to Sunday. This was my first visit but the weekly menu comes out Thursday. My husband had the burger and it was the best he's ever had...and we've been everywhere. All we do is eat. Prices were a little bit high for some things, like added toppings, but totally worth it. I can't believe I didn't find this gem sooner. EVERYTHING is made from scratch by chef owner Chris. You can TASTE the love and care he puts into every dish! The service is impeccable yet unobtrusive. The cocktails (I had a Mai Tai and it was the BEST I ever had, and my son's old fashioned was also on point!) The popcorn chicken and vegetarian spring rolls were served hot and delicious. The cheeseburger with wedge potatoes my grandson ordered looked and tasted PHENOMENAL, and words cannot describe the Hungarian Goulash served with a side of sour cream! INCREDIBLE! If it's on the menu, which changes every week, make sure you reserve it when making reservations. The desserts? Absolutely delicious! The pumpkin cheesecake was light with just the right touch of pumpkin flavor, and the profiteroles were perfect! Owner Ann-Marie runs the front of the house, and she makes sure her guests feel at home. She is a wonderful source of information, which explains why TLB is among the VERY BEST restaurants in North Central Massachusetts. Virtually EVERYTHING on the menu is locally sourced and organic! When you dine at The Lazy Bubble, you feel at home, and NO rush. This restaurant is my personal favorite in the area, and I can't wait til Thanksgiving, when chef owner Chris is making complete Thanksgiving dinners for take out for me and other lucky families who reserved them. We went for the Valentine's day special menu, and the food was very good. My only criticism was the potatoe that came with the steak. It was a mountain of tiny shavings that were deep fried, but it was like eating mouthfuls of fizzle. Light and airy, but not satisfying to my palate. The seating for us was not ideal. We were immediately taking to a high top table, which we usually try to avoid. I am 6' tall but my wife is under 5', and it's a struggle for her to get seated. We both like to have our feet flat on the floor, not perched on a stool. When I told the hostess we couldn't sit there she looked stricken so we said OK, no problem, but it made the meal uncomfortable. Also, during our entire meal, there we multiple tables open and most of the tables for 4 had only 2 diners, so I don't know why we were forced to eat at the high top. With tip (we had a bottle of wine) we spend around $270, and plan to go back, but next time I want a real table, please! read more

Four of us just had a meal fit for royalty in the comfortable surroundings of this gem of a restaurant - a destination worthy of repeat visits. Hostess-owner Annemarie and staff warmly greeted and seated us and provided attentive service throughout the meal. Chris Finn, seasoned chef-owner, kept putting forth winning dishes from the best Hungarian Mushroom Soup I've ever eaten, to magnificent salads and main dishes, in this case, Hungarian breaded pork cutlets and Southwestern smoked half chickens - a crave-omatic experience enhanced with suitable accompaniments - all delicious. We made sure to save room for dessert as Chris's talents extend there as well. His picture-perfect Cream Puffs and Tiramisu impressed all who beheld and consumed them! I've been to The Lazy Bubble twice now. Both times I had the Hungarian dish featured on the weekly changing menu, Lecso and Stuffed Peppers. I grew up on Hungarian food, and the flavors were authentic and delicious. The Lecso was made a little differently than my mother's, but fantastic nonetheless. The food is a bit pricey, but well worth it for the made-from-scratch high quality. I look forward to going back when I have the chance, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying Hungarian food. read more

Lazy Bubbles was an amazing little spot . On a return home from Maine to CT four of us stopped for lunch. The menu changes weekly using local ingredients. The corn arancini was delicious. Stuffed cabbage was a special of the day and equally tasty . Buttermilk chicken sandwich with homemade tomato jam ~ tender and full of flavor on homemade rolls . This place has the best food in the area. We first hesitated due to the prices and initially went there on one of their local charity sponsorships days when they have pizza weds. The pizzas are affordable and great. However, when we went back and had one of the Hungarian dishes all of us were blown away. It was great and worth every penny. We are hooked and going back again. The staff and owners served us well and were great to talk with. The staff and the owners care and it shows. I highly recommend this restaurant. Since their offerings rotate based on fresh ingredient availability good to check the menu before you came in. The owners did tell us you can reserve your dishes ahead of time. It can be a good idea for some of the popular items because they can run out. read more

I was tired of eating all the restaurants in Pepperell until I found this place. Fresh farm ingredients, I always love the special menu, best burgers with homemade chips and tomato sauce. Service is awesome. I love the owners. They are honest with their work and I love it. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I shared the fish & chips from their weekly specials menu. The fish & fries were perfection. A light panko breading and homemade ketchup sealed the deal. The chef specializes in Hungarian dishes, but his eclectic repertoire isn't limited. The portions are generous and priced very fairly for the quality. The Lazy Bubble could garnish the first Michelin star for Massachusetts. This scratch kitchen is open Wed - Sat for lunch & dinner, but only Wed - Fri for dining in for dinner. Scallops wrapped in bacon, soup special, beef goulash, massaman Curried pork shoulder and especially the desserts! Oh and the drinks were great too! The service was very good and very engaging. First time trying The Lazy Bubble and we got takeout. Nice to see that the menu is always changing because we will definitely be back! Got the Vietnamese Summer Rolls, chicken fajitas and the rice and vegetable bowl. Logged into Yelp for the first time in a good, long while to make this review. We've ordered twice in the last few months for takeout (it's covid times after-all): the first time we ordered the TLB burger and a taco special, and today we ordered the sourdough grilled pizza special (fig jam, arugula, blue cheese, etc) and a garden salad with a side of honey garlic chicken, and every single dish has been absolutely stellar. I'm really impressed with this restaurant. You can absolutely tell in eating their dishes that they put great care into sourcing and selecting ingredients, and just as much care into putting them together. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly how it should taste - right down to the cherry tomatoes. No poor ingredients here. The first time we ordered, they brought it out to our car (curbside), but today I walked in. Nice digs! It was really clean and modern without looking snooty. The hostess was super polite. I'm so grateful they've decided to open up shop. If you're from nearby, you know it's at least 25 minutes to most of the good stuff. Don't write The Lazy Bubble off your list. Got take out for lunch today. They do a fantastic job dealing with the Covid policies and everyone is wearing a mask. Had the burger, special pizza and empanadas. All ingredients tasted super fresh and the quality was outstanding. You can tell everything is locally sourced and nothing tastes frozen. Burger was huge and loaded with delicious bacon. Pizza had so many different types of flavors from fig jam bacon apple mozzarella and other cheeses it was an A+ Empanadas were crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside and came with a delicious dipping sauce. We finally had the chance to visit and were not disappointed. The passion fruit matcha tea is addictive. The starters equally as amazing- summer salad with maple balsamic and the steak wraps. The salad had the perfect balance of flavors and texture; fresh and bright. We also shared the burger- those steak fries are amazing and the BUN! Oh my that bun. We will definitely be back. so my first question was, what's with the name.....seems it was a james beard expression re bringing a slow boil up and that first slow rolling bubble that appears....interesting place, in a stripish mall in pepperell, not too much to look at from the outside but very nice and warmish inside ...service was pleasant and informative, hostess/bartender and cook husband wife team...small but interesting menu and drink selections, i had a "southern" martini (bourbon) which was very good and even came with the little carafe that drinks used to appear with, good explanation, it is easier for waitstaff to carry....i had the burger, great, cooked as ordered and with big tasty french fries and their tomato jam...liked it here, good company and good food!! read more

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is fantastic, the service is top notch, and it is the best value in high-quality dining that I've experienced in Massachusetts. They make everything (and I mean everything) from scratch with ingredients from local farms and create magic with it. Even their homemade ketchup is the stuff of dreams. If they were in the Boston metro area, they could charge 3 or 4 times more and still get rave reviews. We have ordered maybe 20 or 30 different dishes here and each one was an absolute delight. The worst place ever. Went there for the first time on one of the hottest days of the year so far. NO Air Conditioning!!!!! I felt bad for the hostess and server. They were making up excuses for the inexcusable management (lack there of). We were the first ones there too. All we got was sorry.... it is the building managements fault. Well, maybe you shouldn't of opened at all. I guess your profit(loll) comes first over customers. Food was okay. Not worth it. Should of gone to elsewhere. It was made very clear by the waitress that we had to order food before we could get a drink and that they "were not a bar." First impressions are everything. Amazing food, creatively prepared. Twice I have had their LB cheeseburger. Sounds rather pedestrian, right? Think again! Think 8 oz of high quality ground beef, cooked to your preference. Vermont cheddar. Homemade bun. I'm drooling just writing this! I have lived a lot of years, and eaten a lot of cheeseburgers, but this one is in a class by itself. Their sourdough pizza is fabulous, the rice bowl is delish... haven't had any of their Hungarian food yet (have no idea what that is), but sooner or later I will... if I can stop ordering that crazy cheeseburger! We were heading out for a farm stand in Pepperell and looked at Google Maps to see what the lunch option were in the area. The Lazy Bubble looked interesting and it turned out to be a great find. We shared their vegetable cous cous with tomato-pepper jam and it was delicious! And the Hungarian layered cream dessert was soooo good. We also enjoyed their home-made fruit punch. Excellent food in a very low key spot. All homemade and all locally sourced! I'm married to a vegan and there's very few GOOD choices in a 25 mile radius and Lazy Bubble is it! And it's wonderful! Excellent plant-based burger and excellent hamburger for me! Totally recommend unequivocally! And the fries are crispy and delicious as well. Tried The Lazy Bubble for the first time tonight and what a place! We had the Braised Pork and Beef empanadas, dipped with the ranched it was a great appetizer. Following that we had the lettuce wraps, every bite was an adventure for my pallette. My wife had the rice and veggies bowl with the garlic honey chicken. We topped the bowl with a sesame sauce and it was succulent. I had the TLB cheeseburger which I agree with another post that it is better than the Gibbet Hill burger.
