This is a very clean place to wash clothes. All machines seem fairly new and are in great working condition-I've never had an issue with any of them. The attendants are constantly cleaning, so things stay in great shape. They are on the DexterPay app, so I can pay directly from there and don't need to run to the atm and get quarters. This is the BEST laundromat I've ever gone to. SPACIOUS was my first impression. Maybe a dozen people all scattered around, with no shortage of anything. Wonderful machines that were easily accessible, lots of baskets, plenty of seating, folding areas all around, and very importantly an attentive attendant (Greg maybe?). Both front and back doors were open for wonderful cross ventilation. Clean, civilized, and a thoroughly satisfying experience. PLUS FREE PARKING IN THE BACK, ENTER OFF 10TH STREET! I'm betting there is no sign on the front of the building to announce free parking because then it would be used by a lot more people than those using the stores for which the parking exists. PLUS a fabulous coffee shop right across San Pablo Ave. on the corner of Addison that has divine pastries. And other shops very close by, and a Berkeley Post Office just a little past Addison. OK, so you'll only have 20-some minutes to walk around before your wash is done but it's a nice break. I think the reason that this awesome place doesn't get 5 stars is because some -- may I say unconscious or even self-centered -- people didn't allow time for their grievance to be corrected, or maybe they are malcontents. This place clearly serves the community and is serious about providing good service and value. I suggest bringing quarters or cash bills to change (even $20's) in their change machines because the "easy-pay" Dexter system has forced choices of $1 or so for something, or 25 cents "for extended wash." I'm thinking this feels like a tax or service fee (service fees can be ok) I don't need to pay. What a delight to find this treasure of a business. Going to the laundromat has not been something I ever looked forward to doing, but finding this gem has made a huge difference in my perspective. read more

Very clean! A little expensive. $5/ wash cycle but the machines are huge (4x regular loads), and $0.25/6 mins dry.

This is by far the best laundromat in Berkeley. It's so convenient to use Dexter Pay, especially while there's a coin shortage. Also love that they have washers and dryers with large load capacities. read more

This is the best laundromat in town. It's clean, all the machines work great, the people who work here are friendly and helpful, there is parking in the back and plenty of tables for folding. They sell detergent if you need some, the change machines work, and there are 2 TVs for those of you who watch such things. There is a sink to wash your hands after touching all those quarters if you ask nicely to use the bathroom. There is lots of light, it feels safe here and I've come fat and night and never had an issue feeling safe. They have different sizes of washers so you can find just the right ones. They offer wash and fold service as well if you'd like to drop off your laundry and pick it up later all ready to go. I've been to lots of places to do my laundry around here from el cerrito down to Oakland and this is my favorite one. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it. read more

I don't live in the area but happened to have my laundry in my car when I had to leave my cat at the pet emergency room for a few hours around the corner. The place is clean with brand new machines of varying sizes, chill atmosphere and a couple of folks working to answer any questions. It's a bit more pricey than my local spot but a good pinch hitter nonetheless. Meter parking in front, good places to eat and grab coffee around, and they have a bathroom. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment but I will go to a laundry mat when I need to wash a bunch of blankets and larger items. This laundry mat was always nice and workers there were always friendly but this is my first time back since they completed the renovation. It is probably the nicest laundry mat I've been to! They have tables and chairs, WiFi, and brand new, super clean machines! The only thing is that they only have the large machines, the smallest is a 4x washer. So no small loads if you're one that separates a small load of whites or something. read more

I've been coming here since 2016. I don't know what I would do without this business and their wash-and-fold service. I am so incredibly thankful for it. It's within walking distance of my house and it's next to good restaurants, but besides that, getting a freshly-folded pile of clean laundry back just always feels luxurious. I can't compare prices to other laundry facilities in the area because I'm not familiar, but the Apple Pay option was so convenient. The facility was very clean and the attendant was always tending to the facility. There is a sign that the last wash needs to be in by 8:30pm so don't wait to get here. Must have missed the rush cause the dryers were busy, but I was able to immediately get two large washers and get started. read more

I'm NEVER going back! I was using 3 large washers. Two of them didn't work correctly. The first one only spun one direction and the second one didn't add my detergent to the wash (It was still in the top of the dispenser) I pointed this out to the attendant who said she would rewash one of them. I pointed out that both of them needed rewashed and she declined saying she was not allowed. She was able to get the owner on the phone and I spoke to him, he said "We don't give any refunds but we will make sure you wash gets clean" Sounds good I'm thinking, I didn't mention or ask for a refund "He followed that with "We will meet you 1/2 way and rewash ONE of the loads of laundry for you" 'One? Two machines are not working correctly out of the three I am using and you are only going to rewash one?' "That is correct, I'm being nice and meeting you 1/2 way" '1/2 way? I paid for two loads, two machines didn't work correctly and you are only going to rewash one of them? They both have to be redone' "That is all we will do for you" When their machines didn't work I expect them to take care of it, after all what does it cost them, a little water and electricity? They made more than enough money for what I paid the first time it would be nothing to them to rewash both loads. So much for the slogan '..We will make sure your wash gets clean.." great place to laundry very clean and there is always someone working who can help you if you need. owner very friendly person.. if you wash you clothes in cold water the machine will use ozone a sanitizer like the hospitals use. you clothes will come out of the machine smell very fresh and cleaner then if you just used laundry soap remember cold water if want ozone sanitizer takes care of germs and such too .place and machines are very clean and they have a restroom. read more

Just had a full load of just dried clothing stolen by this woman who walked right out the back door...ugh. They smaller load washers are ALWAYS out of order so you have to use the larger machines so she got away with quiet a bit. This is my usual laundromat, being about a 10-minute walk from my house. First of all, the negatives about this place have nothing to do with the staff. Every time that I've gone in the staff working have been friendly and helpful. The free wi-fi is a nice touch. Proximity to Lanesplitter even better. The biggest problem is that the washing machines and dryers are often out of order. I'd say that on average, about half the machines are unusable. Sometimes I don't find out that a dryer is out of order until after I've attempted to dry my clothes in it. I guess it's hard for me to understand this sort of apathy from the management. It's really tacky the way that half the lights shut off automatically several minutes before it closes (and the clock on the wall is fast). You're open until 10, and it really makes me feel unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer when you try to kick me out early. Especially since it seems that this is programmed and not something that the employees do. I get a sense that the staff aren't being treated with much dignity. Automatically shutting down the lights and then requiring customers to sign a form saying that a machine ate their quarters, for instance. So it's a little hard for me to believe Nick's flattering comments about the owner. read more

Great place! This place is very clean, great quality machines and plenty of parking in the back! Prices are great as well.

The hours are good and the women who work there are very nice but mostly speak English very poorly and won't understand you if you don't speak Spanish. Sometimes kids are running around making a racket. Lots of broken machines, but it's a large place so there are usually enough. Really loud Mexican telenovelas playing on the TV which can be annoying. Free wifi, though. There is often a strong smell of marijuana wafting down from upstairs? or somewhere and the bathroom reliably will be out of toilet paper or be locked or will lock you in or will have the lock and doorknob completely removed (the current status). Free parking in back. Last wash at 8:30 pm. I was mischarged double for dry cleaning as the women who take your order either don't know what the proper charge is or the people (elsewhere) who actually dry clean use some kind of different system. And then when you pick it up everyone pleads ignorance since there is a whole line of people involved and the manager is not there and you have to pay whatever they ask to get your clothes back. This means when you pick up your dry cleaning the price could be anything, including much higher than what you expect. It seems it's not really a dry-cleaning place so taking stuff there is bound to result in a hassle. It says LAUNDERLAND on the outter brick facade but that is no longer the name of the place; that is confusing if you're trying to look it up online, etc. In general, it's a bit depressing inside but the hours are good and the ladies are nice and it does the trick. There are some nice shops nearby but they tend to close early. I like the Mexican grocery store and the cafe . . . read more

We bring our laundry here for the wash and fold. The employees are very kind, helpful, and they go out of their way to meet certain needs, such as not drying certain clothes, or making sure a certain load gets cold water or hot water. The manager is also remodeling the place and making it more inviting and comfortable. If they're not busy, and you bring your laundry earlier in the day, it's same day service 9 times out of 10! read more

I stopped in while on vacation to wash some clothes. The place is somewhat run down and dirty, but the machines I used were functional. The washing machine must have had some red colored clothing in it before because my white undershirts came out pinkish. I should have probably been more prepared for such an occurrence, but it was still a bit disappointing. I'm sure there are much nicer laundry facilities in Berkeley. read more
