Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with this business. I've been bringing my clothes here…read morefor about 2 years and I've spent hundreds of dollars for dry cleaning and minor alterations during that period. I dropped off a stack of clothes about two weeks ago, and picked up this afternoon. Upon arriving home, I realized that my white blouse (a white button up, long sleeve) had yellow streaks on both sleeves as well as sporting on the front by the collar. The shirt did not have stains before I brought it in and I asked for a dry cleaning. I took the shirt back about 10 minutes later. The woman proceeded to tell me that the shirt was like that when I brought it in (a $200 shirt in like new condition). She would not take accountability for the staining and insisted that I did not know what I was talking about--as though I didn't know what my own clothes looked like before I brought them in. She gave me my $8 back unprompted and commented that she could try stain removal AGAIN. This wasn't an "again" situation--there was not significant yellowing to the top before I brought it there. I walked out, and went to another cleaner/tailor. This individual confirmed my suspicion: given the extent of the yellowing, it's likely that the blouse reacted to something applied to it during cleaning. I should have known better--just two months ago, the sleeve of another sweater was damaged here following a repair (I didn't complain then because it was minor, but I should have). Based on my experience today, I do not believe that this business respects its customers and stands by its services. I hope that others have better luck.

First of all before I list out my displeasures, let me just start off by saying save your money &…read moreclothing and stay away from this place. There's way better dry cleaners out there with more competent and accommodating owners. If your clothing gets damaged, they will automatically deflect, not take responsibility, blame and accuse you for trying to get over on them. I've used this joke of a place plenty of times before because it's convenient for me since I live down the street even though they do a half decent job. I brought in a brand new beige Kith sweater that I've worn no more than 3x because it had some stains on it from eating at a restaurant. They were only able to remove half the stains which I'm not even mad about but when I got home and inspected the sweater, there was a very noticeable tear on the left chest area that was clearly patched up. When I dropped the sweater off a few days prior, the lady inspected it thoroughly and didn't mention of any defects, only the stains. I go back the next morning to show that my BRAND NEW SWEATER that's never been dry cleaned before nor put in the washer had a tear that was clearly patched. The co-owner old man that does the sewing automatically deflect and start accusing me of knowing the defect was there or that it happened somewhere else. I'm someone that wears vintage clothing and aware of all imperfections on my clothing. I take care of every piece of garment that I have and I'm very anal when it comes to everything I own. I would know if my clothes had any holes or tears on it and WOULD NEVER blame anyone for something that I knew was already there. But this is a different story. How could I have a brand new perfect $200 sweater with a noticeable defect and be ok with that? The unprofessional owner man GETS IN MY FACE and starts screaming telling me to get out of his store and his exact words "don't come in here this early and start this bullsh*t"...I mean what type of business owner talks to an unhappy repeat customer like that? They didn't even try to resolve the issue. He went from saying that it didn't happen there to I knew the defect was there to I bought the sweater like that from the store to it must've happened in another dry cleaners even though it's never been dry cleaned before and why would I bring it to another dry cleaner that's further out when I live down the street? The lady went on to say that they don't have that color thread when the thread used to patch up the holes were clearly white. Like HUHHHH?!?! Make it make sense. I ended up leaving in a rage and was so furious that a business is owned by these type of people. The very least you can do is apologize and try to make the customer happy. But no, the man running the place is a hot head and would never take responsibility as if the business he's running is perfect and mistakes can never happen. I would never bring any business to this place nor recommend it to anyone I know in the neighborhood cause this is not right. Please stay away from this incompetent business and very very unprofessional owners.

Good, dependable dry cleaning and tailoring place. Minus 1 for charging a dollar to sew a button…read more 50 cents ok. A dollar, that is just mocking me. What do I look like, a rich hipster? I took it home and did it myself. Ok, ok, in all honesty, I took my newly clean pants home and hung them in the closet where they are waiting patiently for me to get around to sewing that button back on. "Eddie: Do you hold a grudge against Montgomery Burns? Moe: No. [buzz] Moe: All right, maybe I did. But I didn't shoot him. [ding] Eddie: Checks out. Okay, sir. You're free to go. Moe: Good, 'cause I got a hot date tonight. [buzz] Moe: A date. [buzz] Moe: Dinner with friends. [buzz] Moe: Dinner alone. [buzz] Moe: Watching TV alone. [buzz] Moe: All right! I'm going to sit at home and ogle the ladies in the Victoria's Secret catalog. [buzz] Moe: Sears catalog. [ding]" Anyway, this dry cleaning/tailoring place has nice employees. I am always a little uneasy when people are SOOO friendly, after all this is New York, and I wondered a little if maybe when I left they'd badmouth me. Well it doesn't really matter as long as the dry cleaning is clean, and it was, so hey. Weird thing that not too many other dry cleaning places do in this neighborhood-- these guys ask for a name, address and phone number. I'm like what?! The other place down the block knows me only as "Pink Number 9024" and I like it that way. So I told a little white lie and gave a 30 Rock character's name as my name. But I gave my real phone number cause you know, I gotta stay in touch with the place that has joint custody of my $50 pants. The address I declined to give. After all, we do live in a post-apocalyptic John Tyneresque world and I have to guard my remaining liberties carefully. Don't tread on my dry cleaning!!!
