Don't go into the actual building where you'd access the main entrance. After you pull into the 1865 gate, park in the spaces facing you or close. The entrance into the club is behind the pool area. So the first building you see ahead (behind the ramp and around until you see a sign that says 1865 club) We were greeted by someone who sat just inside of the door who let us know that it was standing room only. We were ok with that since this was sort of impromptu. Once inside the club, it was beautiful! Low lights, beautiful decor, live music. We went to the bar and ordered cocktails. Luz was our bartender and the drinks were AMAZING!! There is not a person inside of Nashville who has made a better version of my favorite drink. (She's from the city in which it originated so that tracks) If you're looking for an intimate setting with great vibes and cocktails.. definitely check this spot out!

We just finished up at the Catbird Seat and Ashley had called next door to see if they could seat us at the Patterson House. What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. Totally unexpected, and that just meant we had to have more than one round to make sure that we could appropriately tip and show our appreciation for the amazing hospitality! The drinks were great. I tend to gravitate towards the less sweet. The Japanese Anchorage scratched that elitch very well being boozy forward, with hints of flavors. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Very good, a little sweeter and a little heavier than I'd normally prefer. It met both of our preferences right in the middle. Compromise, right? Great experience, and would absolutely come back when in town!

I can go on and on about everything that happened. If you are the owner and you're reading this please try and hire new staff. Your employees were super rude, specifically the guy in the humidor with the white cowboy hat, he needs to be fired for how rude and arrogant he is. We walked in around 5:00 PM, and there were very few people in the bar. We had a party of six, so we sat down at a table and waited. After sitting there for a while without anyone coming over, I finally went to the bar. Shortly after that, a waitress came to our table, so I went back and we placed our order. Then came another long wait, we waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, even though the bar was nearly empty. On the bright side, the drinks were great. I ordered an El Carajillo, and it was really good! The horchata crème in it was SOOOO good and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service issues continued. When the waitress brought the check for me to sign, I realized she had not returned my credit card. I had to track her down to get it back, and while doing so, I ran into another customer who had experienced the exact same thing. They have great drinks and normally provide a good experience, so hopefully this was just an off night. But on this particular Friday evening, with the bar barely occupied, the service definitely missed the mark.

Staff at the humidor offered zero guidance or recommendations. Drinks were forgettable, and we had to fetch them ourselves from the bar like we were at a college sports pub instead of an upscale cigar lounge. Then came the cigars. We were left to cut and light them ourselves, which would've been fine if every disposable torch in the place wasn't nearly empty or completely out of butane. Nothing says 'premium lounge experience' quite like fighting for a working lighter. To top it off, the moment a large group walked in, the bartender started loudly screaming out drink orders across the room. The entire atmosphere instantly shifted from refined cigar lounge to livestock auction barn. This place is living off the reputation of what Blend used to be.
