I've had many lash lifts over the years and my lashes must be difficult bc I've always had mixed outcomes. Imagine my delight to have my appointment with Malia. She took the time to ask questions and listen to my previous issues. She was very meticulous and conscientious with my lift, super skilled professional. Her lash lift is the best one I've ever had - the curl is dramatic, evenly spaced out, not a single errant lash. I am beyond thrilled with the outcome. She mentioned several times that if they fall too quickly that I could come back but I've had enough lifts to know that this one is gonna be good and hold. I can see why she has such great reviews - her skill is off the charts! My brows also look nice and clean. I made my 6 week appt with her again right away on vagaro. The location is super convenient with entrance at the front of SALT from Ala Moana blvd. Take elevators to second floor. The space is loft like very airy with breezy curtains. I was a little disappointed because I started work at 1:30pm. Pushing it back even 20mins I know I would be in a time crunch. But whatever... I didn't wanna cancel because THEY were late and be charged 100% for a service. Which is also one of their policies. This is one of their other policies.... -GRACE PERIOD IS 9 MINUTES, AT 10 MINUTES THERE IS A $10 LATE FEE, AFTER 15 MIN IT WILL RESULT IN THE FORFEITURE OF THE ENTIRE APPOINTMENT AND WILL BE CHARGED 100% OF THE SERVICE BOOKED. YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. Lol. Anyway, for what I paid $200 something for lashes. Volume lashes that was half filled not to mention half bald. NOT WORTH IT. My whole appointment was quiet. Lexy didn't say one word to me. Except for how long. And I told her long. And that was the last time I ever heard her talk to me until she was done. I finished about 1:40pm ish. After my appointment I went straight to work, I was running late. And I had a few comments on how "natural" my lashes was. THEY ARE VOLUME I PAID $200 something for VOLUME!!! I called and went back the next day for a mini fill because those lashes were not volume nor were they filled. I left with not much of a difference. Laid there for another 3 hours for my lashes to NOT look full. I couldn't believe how bald they still were. My natural lashes on our outer eye and inner eye weren't filled. They went thicker on the lashes which made a slight difference but still not that much. My wispy strip lashes that I buy for $5 have more volume than the $200 volume lash extensions I paid them for here. I wish I loved it here because of the convenience of the location, price wasn't an issue. Quality was just not worth the price!

As a makeup artist, I always worry about my lashes falling out so quickly, but thanks to Celine, they hold for 3 weeks at a time without them looking crazy! She called me and very brashly asked if I was on my way. I reassured her that I was close by, but she sounded very annoyed and repeated several times that it was "15 minutes past my appointment time." I apologized and drove as fast as I could to the location. Upon arrival, I parked in the back of the building and called her again to make sure I was in the right place and did not need to pay for parking. She ignored my question and told me to RUN up the stairs because she had a client coming in 20 minutes and she was "not sure what she could do for me" because I was, again, "WAY past my appointment time." She said to hurry because I also had to sign waiver forms. My assumption is that Mika had booked clients back to back that day because if she had a client coming in 20 minutes, that meant that my entire appointment was only 40 minutes long (which, in my opinion, is too short to give proper care and attention anyway). I had trouble finding the stairs to go up to the salon so called her one more time, only for Mika to say, "You know what, I can't take you anymore, there's not enough time." I said sorry again for being so late and asked if I could just get my old appointment slot back (later that day). She said no, she had already filled it so I had to figure something else out. TL;DR: I was super late to my lash lift appointment and it ended up getting cancelled. Therefore, I cannot speak to Mika's skills as a lash tech or quality of service. However, I am leaving this review to inform everyone of the unprofessional correspondence I had with her. Maybe she was just under a lot of stress today, I don't know.
