We were on vacation and decided to book one night here. We checked in pretty late like at 9pm. This looks like an older hotel so take that into consideration. There is plenty of parking. The decor is very 90's but cute. The room was okay it had everything we needed but you can tell it's older. The beds were comfortable. We had an okay experience.

From the side of the Inn. Beautiful area.

This Inn originally gave us a room where the bed wasn't made. Absolutely unacceptable! They gave us another room that wasn't bad. The bed was comfortable and the room looked clean. My major complaint is the excuse "due to Covid". No mask being wore, hotel restaurant open for business, however no coffee "due to Covid" pool closed "due to Covid" It's frustrating when the world is open for business however this is still your excuse. I must say I think they are working on improvements however they should work on better excuses as well.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the Lakeside Inn. We were visiting Boston and found it to be central enough without being too pricey! Each of the three different front desk workers was SO nice and accommodating each time we spoke with them. The beds were comfy, AC was strong, and the view from our window was beautiful. Plenty of places to grab breakfast or coffee nearby, too.

Room was absolutely disgusting. My friend and I checked in and checked right back out, canceling our second night. Bed sheets were definitely not fresh. Carpet had obviously not been vacuumed in days and had an unidentifiable stain. Room had an odor of body odor combined with mildew. After driving a couple hours, we were nervous about even using the bathroom and opted for a gas station down the street. Housekeeping was taking turns body checking a door across the hall. Seemed like someone had passed out or something and was late for check out?! Not even sure how this place is still open.

DO NOT RECOMMEND this inn. Let me start off by saying we were staying here for our honeymoon. I did let staff know at booking. The room was dirty and garbage was left in the room. The comforter was ripped up and had multiple blood stains (disgusting). i called desk staff was not very helpful especially Karen. There was no toilet paper and two towels for two days and one wash cloth and hand towel. I once again asked to speak to front desk manager and I was told they would let him know. I am still waiting for a call. The grounds in back are covered in goose poop I sure hope no one is having any type of event there. The room is small and outdated the two chairs in there are worn out and tattered. For the price they charge you can definitely find better accommodations. I work in the hospitality industry and we would never give a guest a room like this totally unacceptable and not sanitary. There is no elevator at all so for some one with a immobility issue it's not a good option. AC doesn't work great the window didn't seal. And asking the staff for anything seems to be a bother. The tub was dirty the shower curtain was dirty. The mattress pad doesn't even cover the bed the mattress is dirty. Updates after approximately two and half weeks I received and email stating I would be getting a full refund. We will see

Eek... these look like they haven't even been washed.

True to some of the other negative reviews on here, I would have to say that this is the most uncleanly hotel I have ever stayed in. I stayed here for a night. First the hotel messed up my reservation - I requested a king, they gave me a double. I'm not overly picky as long as I have a bed, so I was fine with it. The room however was another story. Upon check-in, I found a wad of chewing gum stuck to the nightstand. The drinking glasses looked gross and looked like they had barely been washed. Scuff marks on the walls everywhere. The towels had rust stains on them. In general, the whole hotel/place felt freaking filthy. Wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms come with body lotion, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. I love the smell of these and have used it, even though I brought my own conditioner and shampoo. Breakfast during the weekdays is from 6-9am, with alternative hours on weekends. Breakfast usually always consists of waffles (self-made), fruit, juice, coffee, and bagels/bread to toast. They alternate between sausages, potatoes, eggs, and Canadian bacon. There are usually people already down there by 6am, some even before then while they're still setting up. There's lots of seating with a back seating area as well. There is a Starbucks (no-drive thru) and Chick-fil-A (drive thru) in the same lot which is nice. The hotel lobby locks after 11pm, so be sure to have your room key to scan to get back in.

Very quiet room with a nice kitchenette, fully equipped with a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster as well as pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. The only issue we ran into was there was no TV remote in our room when we checked in, but the very friendly gentleman at the front desk quickly found one. Full breakfast with lots of choices including waffles, The dining area seems small for the size of the property (especially on the weekend) but we easily found places to sit. There's an indoor pool and 2 exercise rooms but we didn't get a chance to check those out during our stay. Nothing really in walking distance, but lots of restaurants and shopping within a 5-10 minute drive, and there's a sign at the front desk saying the hotel offers shuttle service locally. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

I tried returning after renovations only to find 1. no air conditioning it broke first week, and they threw an old one in the window, then no dish washer, maid service was bitter and angry I decided I would do my own cleaning as they use the same dirty mop in all the rooms. Nobody knew how to make keys, my room was literally 100 steps from front door and I would have to go down several times in a row to get a key. My first night over I woke in the AM they changed the continental breakfast time, I asked for food as I had not had the chance to buy food yet, I was told "I feed my good people" ?? At that time she gave me a croissant, egg, cheese sandwich which was hard as a rock. I went to the general manager he called me 401, highly inappropriate in my opinion. I called corporate then they probably told them to sit me down to speak, the best they could come up with if they have time in the morning they can grab me a yogurt. After which there was no eye contact, no guest staff resolution. On another occasion I observed a very intoxicated man on the daily chewing tooth picks that he would throw on the floor every where elevator lobby etc. I have two small dogs and I was worried they would grab one and cause an issue as I was with letting them in to do repairs and justifiably so as I have photos of the screws they left on the floor as well as the screws that were frequently left by the elevator after several repairs that were done in a very loud elevator in just less than a month. On another occasion I was woken not by the desk staff or breakfast maker smoking and yelling per usual in the front of the building, but by a company they hired to leaf blow, I was woken up on a weekend by 7:20 AM when I went to my vehicle it was covered in mud, leaves etc. I was concerned I would have issues with the paint on it, so I went to tell general manager, and he just put his head down, so I called corporate and I realized my complaining is just making things more tense I verbalized it to the person on the phone when they asked what did the general manager do I told them he ignored me and put his head down. A few days past and I got a message from Insurance company that they Marriot Bonvoy general manager asked that I relocate by tomorrow. I returned to the hotel to ask what the issue was, the general manager said that my dog had excrement in the lobby and the luggage cart someone used dragged it around the hotel. I asked to see a video he shows me at the elevator and one of my two little dogs under 13 lbs. did in fact poop but not to my knowledge as I had just walked them for an hour, and I was looking forwards at the elevator. So much for dog friendly hotel. I found almost all the staff to be highly inappropriate with dealing with any issue there was no listening to consumers concerns, no compassion or empathy for a 63 y/o woman whose home just burned, never any positive language I was actually yelled at by a maid who said in the beginning she didn't speak English for taking a towel off her cart without asking, English was not an issue that day what a miracle. There was never as clear-cut answer on questions, and they never admitted to their mistakes. So, without warning they throw an elderly woman into the streets two days before Thanksgiving, which was a blessing I don't have to be afraid of their odd staff i.e. security guard walking around with a ping pong paddle and there is no table, the police being there more than guests etc. When I did finally try the breakfast, I was in the bathroom all day I'm guessing they recycle food and or don't refrigerate appropriately. The only thing consistent at this hotel is poor customer service!!

My last visit to the area, I booked the same hotel brand further North and closer to the New Hampshire border. I discovered at that hotel I stayed in farther North, I was going the same direction as people who work in Boston and travel North to home. The traffic was so busy at rush hour in those directions they open the breakdown lane (shoulder) as a travel lane. This time I decided to stay in a hotel closer to Boston because I would be traveling in the opposite direction of traffic during rush hour. I noticed this hotel is both a Homewood Suites and a Hampton Inn. I chose to book the Homewood Suites and selected a king studio suite because I knew I would have a little more space to do work in the evening and watch TV at the same. I also appreciate the kitchenette and full size refrigerator with other essentials for a longer stay. I booked and checked in online ahead of my visit. When I arrived I went to the front desk to get a key for the room because I've had some difficulty using the digital keys in the past. I ate a small breakfast each morning which was included. I was thankful the breakfast started at 6am each weekday because I needed to leave relatively early. Each morning there was a form of egg and meat and a couple of days there was also a potato. The eggs options ranged from scrambled to cheese omelets, to western omelets. The meat ranged from Canadian bacon to sausage patties, sausage links and diagonally cut link sausage slices. They had bagels, bread for toasting, oatmeal, a waffle maker and some other options. I was able to get something for breakfast each morning. In addition, there is a Chick-fil-A practically in the parking lot for the hotel which is open from 6:30am to 10:00 pm. I was able to relax a little during my off time from work and get some rest. But walking her was like walking on a mine field. So nasty. After several days, it was obvious no one was going to clean it up. I brought it to the staff's attention and they promised to take care of it. However, it was never cleaned up before I left and my stay was nearly 2 weeks long. It stinks (no pun intended) because it makes an otherwise great stay - well okay not RUINED - but it was enough to make me not wanna stay there again. In reality, you can see how dated this hotel is: the corner pipe paint is peeling off, slow toilet flush, tub is updated, etc. I talked to the hotel and they do a refresh every 8-9 years. I think this hotel has been around for 30 years and it is the oldest hotel amongst the three: Hampton inn, homewood suites, and springhill suites.
