I wish more meat was on it, but still a good appetizer to get. Beware the peppers on it are hot! My daughter got the buttered noodles with fries. The fries were amazing. Once the noodles got cold they tasted rubbery so she didn't eat much of them. My sister and I got the short rib fettuccini and both liked it. Neither of us thought it was absolutely amazing, but it still tasted good. My husband got the Veal steak. The onions that came with it were marinated and soaked in vinegar I think and they tasted amazing!! I normally hate onions with a passion, but these ones were amazing. He loved his steak as well. We met in January to plan our wedding and were very excited with the location. We had exceptional dining experiences in the past and thought this would be the most beautiful location to celebrate our wedding day. Unfortunately the staff assigned to planning weddings could not be less professional or experienced. Attempting to finalize plans involved numerous emails and phone calls that went unanswered. After reaching Isabelle in management we thought everything would be corrected and our plans would move forward but even after she contacted our wedding coordinator, Marisol, through a collaborative email, over a week passed and literally NO follow up from Marisol, no accountability that she had dropped the ball and failed to get vital information corrected, including the date we had selected. After months of no replies following our repeated attempts we determined that if this is the attention given to couples planning a wedding then we are lucky to avoid our memorable day becoming an absolute disaster. How a business can repeatedly afford to sustain such a financial loss is beyond me but it is apparent, through other reviews, that our experience is not unique for those planning a wedding at The Lakehouse. read more

I recently ate at The Lakehouse and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere is what hits you first--right by the water with really nice views, especially if you're there around sunset. It feels relaxed but still a little elevated, so it works whether you're just grabbing a casual meal or going out for something a bit more special. The food was really good across the board. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and you can tell they care about the quality. Nothing felt rushed or thrown together. Service was also friendly and easygoing without being over the top. Ethan, our server, was so professional and courteous and made our dinner a very memorable experience It's one of those places where you can actually enjoy your time--good food, great setting, and just an overall nice vibe. We stopped by here after visiting Utah for a soccer tournament. We were greeted by hostess immediately upon arrival and seated. We opted to sit outside since it was nice out and not too hot. Beautiful view. Waiter was great. Super friendly and attentive. Checked in throughout our visit and made great conversation. Loved him. I ordered a mule and scones to begin. I've been wanting to try the "Utah" scones and they were so good! Served with an apple pure and/or butter. So fluffy and not too oily. Fried perfectly. I ordered a wedged salad, which exceeded my exceptions. My boys got a burger and a filet mignon with broccolini and mash potatoes. Both were extremely satisfied with the preparation and outcome of the meals. Except the broccolini would've been cooked a couple minutes longer and been seasoned with butter or something. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share it. The food was average -- not bad, but certainly not worth the price. I ordered the wagyu steak and my wife ordered the halibut, and neither dish stood out (they were meh). What was most frustrating was that we were asked to give up our table so another party could be seated after we had only been there about an hour and fifteen minutes. Our bill was $200, and at no point were we informed of any time limit for the table. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant so quickly, especially at that price point. We had just decided to skip dessert when we were approached by the waitress. Unfortunately, this left a very negative impression, and we won't be returning. read more

Came here with friends on New Year's Eve. First time. Not sure it was because we did not order the right food; the food that we tried were disappointing; however, the drinks were ok. We ordered Ribeye steak which lacked flavor and the Mac and cheese was flat; the Rigatoni pasta dish did not impress me at all. The fried artichoke was too bready and thick. The brussels sprouts were too sweet. The Zuppa Toscana could not compete with the same version from the Olive Garden's. My teenage kids liked its pizzookie. We waited 2 hrs for our food to be served and paid $200 for four. The Lakehouse is now a place we bring all our guests for a wonderful evening. The sunset on the lake is just stunning. Everything we've had here is delicious & unique. The halibut might be the best fish I've had (the sauce is ) + they have a skillet cookie?? Not much else to say. Sat down at our reservation time, waited 50 minutes until a server came over and greet us to get water drinks going... after we had to mention it to 2 other servers we haven't been helped and have been sitting here for almost an hour for him to say sorry for the mix up. we left 2+hours after being there seeing multiple groups of people come and go. Would've been one thing that everyone was waiting because of a busy night but this was not that case. Will be straying far from this restaurant and will recommend to everyone else to do the same. I had always driven past this place many times and have always wanted to try it. I love how it's literally on the lake. We made a reservation and requested to sit outside with a lake view. The view is so pretty. We ordered the duck fat fry bread scones for our appetizer. They were good but nothing amazing. I would probably order a different appetizer next time. Once we finished our appetizer, it started to rain really hard. So sadly we got moved inside. I was able to sit outside at a table closest to the lake which truly was my favorite part of the experience! I started with oysters and duck fat scones. My mouth is watering just thinking about the taste! The oysters were some of the best I've had! The scones were delicious with the raspberry butter. Halibut and flat iron steak were the main courses; both were scrumptious. The medium steak was tender and resting on a stew of vegetables. Both dishes paired nicely with my glass of Riesling. The food: the refined flavors here are what you'd expect at a very fine dining restaurant, but the price is extremely fair--it's an amazing value! The Seared Ahi Tuna and the Wanton Nachos appetizers are so good you could happily just eat those...but don't stop! The Chilean Seabass, Oso Buco, and the burger entrees brought me more joy than Christmas. But everything we've had was top notch. The pizza cookies will solve all problems in your life. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Restaurant has a beautiful view of Deer Creek Reservoir along with a large deck in the back which I would love to enjoy dining on during a warm summer evening. Food was so amazing and unique. Started with duck fat dry bread scones - they come out hot and fresh with honey butter. For dinner we had the bison meatloaf with bone marrow whipped potatoes, the roasted venison tenderloin with summer vegetables, the wild grape dumplings with elk sausage (which sounded odd but were soooo good), the roasted quail summer salad, and the pioneer dinner pie which had rabbit bolognese and sweet potato mash that night . Just so impressed with the presentation and flavors of each dish. Servers were friendly and prompt, always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Pricing was very reasonable and could have easily charged more for such a high-quality meal. Only critique would be the noise level was a bit loud so it was challenging to hear your table mates. They also had live music playing during dinner. I'd say this place is a hidden gem and definitely worth visiting again. read more

When I say the location & setting blew us away, we loved the ambiance. Nothing was short of beautiful, & we noticed this restaurant was catered to more of an older age group than ours, which is fine -- but the staff did give us weird looks. Let me explain by saying that when we arrived, we placed an order of our items which included burgers with sides of sweet potato mash, duck fat scones, oysters, meatloaf, & much more. Their burgers are incredible, but again... not sure if Utah has a vendetta against us, we had said we had an item missing from the order & this girl with short bangs turned around & rolled her eyes at her manager from our request. I mean, she made it so obvious that we had trouble comprehending what had just happened. Maybe she was young & didn't know how to react... but man, that lost them a star because their stuff is incredible. The only dishes I'd say needs a bit of work is the mushroom risotto, the rabbit lasagna, & the blue corn tortilla pâté. The other dishes were phenomenal! Honestly the food was the star of this experience. Their cocktails are average at best. Our first interaction with our server just seemed like he didn't want to be there but the second interaction when he really introduced himself was better. I definitely would say listen to the recommendations because we did and we are so thankful for that. I ordered the elk sausage and dumplings and my husband got the burger. Literally one of the best meat dishes I've had in a long time. We will be back to try the other options such as they are buffalo meatloaf and the venison. It was a gorgeous night. They also had live music and the singer was incredible. This is an amazing restaurant. Beautiful location, fantastic service, strong drinks. We came in earlier this summer to visit. I grew up visiting Heber and it has really changed over the years -- there were never any restaurants like this out there up until recently! We started with the fresh baked bread, which came with a spreadable cheese (it was almost the consistency of butter) and homemade jam. I got the venison for my main course and my fiancee got the fish. Everything was really fresh, the portions were quite large and it was all cooked perfectly. The venison was tender and full of flavor. The desserts were out of this world! Their pie rotates, and this time they were serving a chocolate pie, which was kind of like an underbaked brownie. We also got some of the ice cream and that was good too, but the pie was the real winner! The Lakehouse has a seasonal menu, so would love to come back and try this place out in all seasons! read more

This restaurant was excellent in every way, the food was all amazing and came out quickly, and in my opinion is reasonably priced for the portion sizes you get. The addition of a small Mocktail menu was also a highlight for us since me and my girlfriend are under 21 so this made it so we could still order some fun drinks. The service was also incredible, our Server Aaron was very kind and attentive the whole evening, he talked and joked with us and always came out with a smile on his face, he even took time to take pictures of us with the sunset on their deck. We were a group of 9 and we were staying in a Cabin 4 min away. I called 1.5hr ahead to make sure there was availability and since it was a weekday there was no issue. They marked us down for a table of 9 at 7pm. The Lakehouse is beautiful at night!! I can just imagine how much more beautiful it must look during the day with the lake view. The service was phenomenal and our server knew all the details for every drink, mock tail & food. We ordered the duck fat scones to start for the table which were warm & crispy on the outside and soft inside with a side of honey butter and apple spread. My husband and I ordered the short rib burger special of the night that came with local white cheddar from down the road. The burger was cooked perfectly and large size patty which was plenty to share with soft brioche bun, bacon, cooked onions and delicious may spread. The burger came with fries and we asked for some truffle & Parmesan on top of them. We also opted for a side of the Brussel sprouts which did not disappoint with the sweet & spicy sauce they were tossed in. This place is a must try! Our first time at the Lakehouse. Made a reservation on OpenTable a week before and no available times for dinner so we settled for the last brunch opening. It was raining on our arrival which made for a very dramatic view of the restaurant and the lake. We walked in and had the entire place to ourselves. We were seated immediately. The staff was very attentive and our orders were taken and drinks arrived within minutes. One of the partners came out and gave us some history of the place and some future amenities coming for the summer season. The food arrived and looked amazing. Chef Tamara Stanger created an incredible menu that took our taste buds on a ride! We started with the crispy blue corn pate which had such unique texture and flavor. It was soft, crispy, savory with a hint of sweet. It was unexpected and delicious. Entrees we had the chicory venison which was seasoned and cooked perfectly with the most delicious bone marrow mashed potatoes underneath. This dish was truly a star. We also had the pioneer pie which had filet and lobster inside. The crust was so butter and flakey. The filling was perfect and really let the lobster shine. My husband and I kept stealing bites of each others plates because they both were so good. We finished with caramel cheesecake and it was hands down the best cheesecake we've ever had. We had a perfect dinner date at The Lakehouse. I read all the reviews before we went and was a little nervous about some of the service complaints BUT we had a great experience with every single Lakehouse employee we encountered. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Our server Griffin in particular was delightful and helped us make dinner decisions that we did not regret! The food was as good as the service. We started with the duck fat scones, which are highly recommended for a valid reason. We also got the corn dumplings, which were also good but the scones were untouchable. I got the pioneer diner pie, which was unreal. The crust was indescribably good and the filling was also incredible. I'm going to think about that savory pie for days and probably years. My husband got the wild grape dumplings which were like nothing we had ever tried before and would definitely eat again. For dessert we got the pie special which was a mud slide pie and as delicious as every other thing we ate. This chef creates pie crust that your grandmother wishes she could compete with.
