A family favorite! Everything is delicious and fresh here. The restaurant is beautiful with stunning views. The staff is attentive, helpful, and welcoming. The wonton nachos are a must try! The filet was tender & perfection. The Brussel sprouts are incredible! Everything on the menu is great. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here after visiting Utah for a soccer tournament. We were greeted by hostess immediately upon arrival and seated. We opted to sit outside since it was nice out and not too hot. Beautiful view. Waiter was great. Super friendly and attentive. Checked in throughout our visit and made great conversation. Loved him. I ordered a mule and scones to begin. I've been wanting to try the "Utah" scones and they were so good! Served with an apple pure and/or butter. So fluffy and not too oily. Fried perfectly. I ordered a wedged salad, which exceeded my exceptions. My boys got a burger and a filet mignon with broccolini and mash potatoes. Both were extremely satisfied with the preparation and outcome of the meals. Except the broccolini would've been cooked a couple minutes longer and been seasoned with butter or something. We ended with a skillet cookie with ice cream which did not disappoint. Highly recommend stopping by here

Came here with friends on New Year's Eve. First time. Not sure it was because we did not order the right food; the food that we tried were disappointing; however, the drinks were ok. We ordered Ribeye steak which lacked flavor and the Mac and cheese was flat; the Rigatoni pasta dish did not impress me at all. The fried artichoke was too bready and thick. The brussels sprouts were too sweet. The Zuppa Toscana could not compete with the same version from the Olive Garden's. My teenage kids liked its pizzookie. We waited 2 hrs for our food to be served and paid $200 for four. Apart from enjoying the time spent with friends on a beautiful evening and location on a snowy winter night; the dinner dishes fell flat.

Ambiance and vibes are phenomenal. I want to come back to eat outside when it's warmer! Their appetizers are also very good. The main entrees I did expect to have better flavor for the cost. My chicken was pretty dry which was disappointing. We will be back to try some other dishes.

The Lakehouse is now a place we bring all our guests for a wonderful evening. The sunset on the lake is just stunning. Everything we've had here is delicious & unique. The halibut might be the best fish I've had (the sauce is ) + they have a skillet cookie?? Not much else to say. We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law being pregnant with their first baby girl wearing pink & they brought us a free pink dessert. Truly made our night! 10/10 recommend.

I had always driven past this place many times and have always wanted to try it. I love how it's literally on the lake. We made a reservation and requested to sit outside with a lake view. The view is so pretty. We ordered the duck fat fry bread scones for our appetizer. They were good but nothing amazing. I would probably order a different appetizer next time. Once we finished our appetizer, it started to rain really hard. So sadly we got moved inside. My husband and I both ordered the flat iron steak and it was served over veggies and potatoes and in a au jus. The steak was so tender. We loved our meal and would love to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Lakehouse where the food and views were excellent! I was able to sit outside at a table closest to the lake which truly was my favorite part of the experience! I started with oysters and duck fat scones. My mouth is watering just thinking about the taste! The oysters were some of the best I've had! The scones were delicious with the raspberry butter. Halibut and flat iron steak were the main courses; both were scrumptious. The medium steak was tender and resting on a stew of vegetables. Both dishes paired nicely with my glass of Riesling. The ambience and service were great! I can't wait to go back!

    Amazing View:)

Beautiful view, great service and delicious food! We ordered the lobster nachos, and they were seriously the best nachos I've ever tasted. (My only complaint would be all of the spiders along the railings!) Will definitely be back, though:)

The food was delicious and filling! We celebrated our wedding anniversary watching the sunset over the lake. How could it get more beautiful than that? We also really loved the key lime cake!

The food tasted great it didn't arrive hot is all. As if it was plated awhile before we got it. I've been to many michelin stars restaurant this felt more like a basic banquet at a hotel. Great service overall. 4 star view

Don't skip out on this spot! The food, the service, and the setting are all amazing. The food: the refined flavors here are what you'd expect at a very fine dining restaurant, but the price is extremely fair--it's an amazing value! The Seared Ahi Tuna and the Wanton Nachos appetizers are so good you could happily just eat those...but don't stop! The Chilean Seabass, Oso Buco, and the burger entrees brought me more joy than Christmas. But everything we've had was top notch. The pizza cookies will solve all problems in your life. The service: fantastic! Very attentive, punctual and helpful. The vibe: cozy cabin on the lake with stunning mountain views meets elevated, modern chateau. We WILL be back (for a fifth time)!

7pm reservations - couldn't see the mountains or the lake. But we walked in and it was a great ambience. Sat near the fire. Food was AMAZING!! The cocktails were pretty good (not as good as St. Regis drinks) but food was top notch! Duck, filet, ribeye, and pork chop had amazing reviews from our guests and we did the grande finale with the bourbon cookie!! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of all those. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Restaurant has a beautiful view of Deer Creek Reservoir along with a large deck in the back which I would love to enjoy dining on during a warm summer evening. Food was so amazing and unique. Started with duck fat dry bread scones - they come out hot and fresh with honey butter. For dinner we had the bison meatloaf with bone marrow whipped potatoes, the roasted venison tenderloin with summer vegetables, the wild grape dumplings with elk sausage (which sounded odd but were soooo good), the roasted quail summer salad, and the pioneer dinner pie which had rabbit bolognese and sweet potato mash that night . Just so impressed with the presentation and flavors of each dish. Servers were friendly and prompt, always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Pricing was very reasonable and could have easily charged more for such a high-quality meal. Only critique would be the noise level was a bit loud so it was challenging to hear your table mates. They also had live music playing during dinner. I'd say this place is a hidden gem and definitely worth visiting again.

Wagyu cheek - with butternut squash risotto. Amazing! Melt in your mouth wagyu, so good! Scallop- with mushroom, smoked trout roa and lobster consume, another spectacular dish, loved all the components and the flavor profile. Beets - delicious with the feta and grapefruit. The bread service is perfection, light and hot, not a heavy bread at all. You get a piece of sourdough and a little roll with pepitas and golden raisins, so good. Our mains were the Pepper steak, which was cooked perfectly, and loved the chutney next to the pepper flavor King salmon with Thai curry mousse was amazing, I loved the crispy skin. We finished with the chocolate hazelnut mousse and the cheesecake. Both are light, not too sweet, the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Overall everything is seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and high quality. Definitely a meal to remember.

I should have written a review here earlier, but my only meals have been with business groups, not just with the wife. The Tree Room has always been a true chef driven restaurant. That's fantastic in times when you have a Chef that's hitting on all cylinders. That's not always the case. Unfortunately the times they've had the best Chefs, the Chef gets national recognition and the Chef is gone within a year to a bigger market. Nearly all the Chefs have stayed within the box. This is a Western resort restaurant. The menu reflects those sensibilities. Sundance takes pride -- and justifiably so -- in the sourcing of ingredients. They grow many of the ingredients themselves. We had not been around in a while because there's been other options that fit our purse strings better, and it's only been recently I could have the scratch to dine here again. The verdict ... Solid food, but nothing that stood out. Minor lapses in the cooking. The sauces had less flavor then they should have. Ernest service, but not at the level of this level of fine dining should have. I appreciate that I apparently have excellent skills at picking good dishes. I expect everyone he serves does. I appreciate that he has dishes he likes better than others, and that he has endless curiosity about how much I'm enjoying the dish when I start eating it, while I'm eating it, and after I ate it. OK, I don't and I don't expect it at one of the States finest restaurants. At this point it's not reaching the level that it's handful of direct competition has reached. If the chef has changed since I wrote this, all bets are off about the quality. It may be back. I'll update as I know.

That wasn't the case and I don't think this will be a place I could stomach again. Pros: the front seating area is pretty cute and gets you excited. It is seat yourself so see an open table and you can grab it. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Cons: #1 is the food. It was almost close to terrible. My partner ordered the French toast which could be easily made at home. Just basic eggs and Walmart brand bread. No seasoning, nothing. I ordered the sausage and eggs with hash browns. The sausage was a burger size patty. Kinda chewy and a different flavor to it. Not awful but definitely not great. The kicker came with the hashbrowns. They were TERRIBLE. They are your Great Value brand hash brown patties with no seasoning, no taste, crunchy and almost unable to stomach them. I think they took 3 patties and toasted them then tried to crumble them up to resemble restaurant style hash browns. Finally our order was basic. Eggs, sausage and toast. It took over 20 minutes to even get us our underwhelming food and the restaurant wasn't even full. I think this place may have been good at one point but that is long gone. This was a one and done for us. If you're hungry there are much better options - even McDonald's!
