People want to rely on Yelp just to see whether or not they want to use a company. Yelp is a San Francisco based Left Liberal Democratic company who will censor you, remove your Reviews, even when your Reviews are truthful and very accurate. Don't rely on the negative Reviews about The Kim Brooke Group. I've known this company for over 3 decades and have always found them to be very professional, very polite, and very fair. Even when the prices were much higher to get your modeling or acting career off, just during and/or after COVID happened, they've lowered the prices. You can pay $500 just to get put on the website so that you will be noticed. Otherwise, most likely - you won't be. I've interacted with Kim Brooke... by phone and by email, and even met with them a few years ago. Kim is a very pleasant, brilliant, successful businesswoman who knows the industry. I even went to "Barbizon" to find a back door into acting - not to become a model actually. "Barbizon" ("Be a model or just look like one.") seems to be the "Rip-Off" company... NOT The Kim Brooke Group. The Kim Brooke Group helps many people - if they have a look that is needed for model work (runway, print, etc.), or for those pursuing an acting career (film, theatre, commercials, documentaries, etc.). I was represented by the Kim Brooke Group in the early 1990s. I found her because I was unhappy with my agent at the time. I did research and found out about her agency before I made the switch. I am glad I did my homework, as I worked many jobs that I received through her representation. My longest job was three-month long one for a movie by a well-known national distributor, as a stand-in for a world famous actress. Kim Brooke knows what she is doing, she has good contacts and a good reputation. That is why when my daughter needed representation, my first call to Kim Brooke. Awful! My kids have been with them for many years and I have not received even 1 call for an audition. I am certainly not expecting booked deals but in the 6 years they didn't get 1 audition! what a rip off! they want your money for the "head shots" they provide and that is how they make their money. If I could give them negative stars I would. Like negative, negative x 10000gazillion. I "joined" this place back in 2006 after a recruiter gave me their card on the bus. Fast forward a few months after debating on whether or not to go in, I pay 2K for classes (they take advantage of many people who are uneducated about the industry) after many urgent phone calls telling me there's one spot left. Repeated phone calls, I tell you. They make it seem as if you don't join the class you'll never get a spot ever again. At that time, I used all the savings I had from working a random summer job after college. I was pretty much forced into paying for these classes (basically, you can't be part of the agency without paying for these classes). What they failed to tell me was I had to audition to get in their agency even after paying for classes. So, after rearranging my work schedule (aka I lost money by not working my regular shifts, and cut it down to twice a week) to take 9 weeks of classes I auditioned, didn't make it in. Had to wait one month to re-audtion. I re-auditioned after a month, didn't get in. Surprise, surprise. I came back a third time and Kim didn't even remember I had auditioned in the first place. Seriously?! Also, they promise "head shots" which I never received. It's fine I guess, I thought they made me look greasy anyways (probably from all the verbal butter they throw your way to make you feel like you're a movie star). Once I saw her browsing on Craigslist for casting calls (really?!). I can do that too and save money on the agency fee (which is a pretty hefty cut, too) by submitting myself. Short story time: As part of the modeling class, they teach you what to wear to auditions. Funny, the one casting call I went to, I saw her son there wearing something that was totally against dress code for auditions. Ha! Kim doesn't take anyone seriously and I was genuinely interested in acting to take on a new hobby. If you are too, you should not come here. They are only interested in your wallet size, not you. Anyways, lesson learned. I found a new agency and have been with them since 2006. They are amazing, all their workshops are great, head shots are real, and they get legitimate work without perusing Craigslist. STAY AWAY! Like, FAR away from these unprofessional butter throwing scammers! They will tell you everything you want to hear and not do a dang thing for you! Huge rip off. If anyone knows anything about a modeling agency, u must not pay them anything until u get a gig. So if I had done my research I would have known this prior. I could write a whole long essay of why you should be careful from them but please just listen, they're con artists. Thankfully with my education in Psychology and because I did modeling and acting in the past with a different (much more reputable) agency I was able to convince my friend not to even take her baby there for an audition. First she called them and was told the head shots for a 10 month year old is $400... and again, this was through the phone without them seeing the babies photos or anything...I hope this place shuts down. BE CAREFUL!!! They're skilled scammers. She was getting told,"we'll try to squeeze you in this Saturday." PLEASE! How about try to squeeze in a conscious and make money the ethical way? AND on top of all that she was told they can't even promise anything. So she's paying $400 for photos for a 10 month old (babies need photos on a monthly or quarterly basis because of their growth/development) and told "we can't promise you anything" and they didn't even see how her baby looks like...ridiculous... read more

This agency is the BIGGEST RIP OFF! I was a model myself when I was younger and made a sizable income with a reputable agency. Kim Brookes charges a fortune to people and preys on people who are uneducated and cannot afford it with the 'hope' that their kid will make it big. The reality is the more reputable agencies in Seattle in Seattle don't take kids or babies, so people end up here by default thinking their experience will be different. The reality is Kim herself even admits to picking kids based on giving kids experience not their look or talant, 'so if i picked this kid last time and this kid didnt have the best chance to get the job, I will try and pick them even if I know they don't have a great chance' she says. Hmmm, well then Kim, where exactly are you making your money?! Right, on BS classes, poor photographers and the 'lazer copies' that are basically an 8x10 that is worse than JC Penney and copied at Kinkos. read more

Don't go there! PLEASE! This place is full of people trying to manipulate you! I went there couple of month ago, for a casting- they kept telling me i was so talented and i just needed some "classes" because I needed to learn more terms of the business.. this would cost me only 2ooo DOLLARS?! I said no, but they kept calling me for days and when i called them back they told me "good luck finding somebody with l o w e r expectations". Did i already mention that I am in the business for over 6 years?.. But in Europe, and surely we used other terms, meaning the same thing.. Turned out I know all the words, and know what?.. i just looked them up in the Internet! SO, Kim Brooke- good luck finding somebody with lower expectations for an agency. Actors aren't toys! Don't waste your time!! I auditioned for them last week and really had to work hard to keep a straight face - this agency is a joke --I've only been in town for 5 days and am a little embarrassed that I agreed to meet with these scam artists -- It felt like I was attending a really desperate "time share" presentation -- everything was fine until I refused to enroll in their $2000 acting course -- then the agent became extremely rude and unprofessional -- Any actor or model who takes their career seriously would be wise to avoid the Kim Brookes agency -- If you are currently represented by them leave now!! Research them for yourself -- none of the major agencies in Seattle have even heard of them and they have very little (if any) industry experience or credibility -- I've been represented by agencies in Austin Texas and Los Angeles and this is definitely not a legitimate agency or management service!! This is a perfect example of what happens to "arrogant" actors who don't make it and are in the craft for the "wrong" reasons -- I normally wouldn't waste any more of my time on these losers but I feel obligated to warn my fellow actors (: Check out these legitimate agencies here in Seattle: Topo Swope Talent Agency, Big Fish NW, and Heffner (for modeling) - Your career will thank you for it!!!! read more

We signed our 6 year old daughter up with Kim less then 2 years ago, and she has had at least 5 or 6 auditions in that period (a couple we were not able to get her down to Seattle for). And she just landed her first gig last week! She was booked for a SAG car commercial! It just completed shooting after 2 days on the set. Kim has been extremely helpful every step of the way. I will note, we were hoping for more print opportunities, which is why the 4 instead of 5 stars. But we have no regrets at all working with the Kim Brooke Group, and I would recommend her to friends who have kids--or anyone who want to give this a shot. She has will go to bat for you and be there for you every step of the way. We plan to stick with her absolutely. From day one through this job she has been awesome to work with. read more
