Ultimately, both with a temp agency and a recruiter I was given the opposite advice of this service and had to redo my resume entirely twice. The person I was working with no longer lived in Washington and I wonder if not having someone local impacted the advice I was getting. In the end, the most important way to get a job is not a resume. The service I got was good enough but it was very expensive. I think relying on my existing networks and getting support from friends and peers and mentors would have saved me money. If you can't afford this service and you are feeling worried about your resume -- exhaust all other free and lower cost resources before this one. It's a vulnerable time when you're looking for a job. Be safe out there. Reaching out to your existing networks and community is always going to be the best way to get a job.

After asking around, all other contract employees with a JD were making $12 an hour more than I was. Kibby thinks this is fine since I was ultimately offered the job, but it's a job that wasn't close to what I was looking for, it's essentially call center work (which Kibby promised it would NOT be.), and after 6 months, because Kibby short changed me, I had made $12,480 less than all my peers with JDs. It's been over a year since I used ESP, my experience still bothers me when ESP comes up in conversation. People with less experience and less degrees coming from different recruiters all made more than me. I can't recommend avoiding Kibby and ESP strongly enough. UPDATE: After skimming the other reviews, people who are full white seem to have done better than me with Kibby and ESP.

We discussed job requirements, skill set, compensation requirements among other things. Everything was in agreement. Positivity and excitement all around. After a week's time we had a quick meetup. A simple meet and greet and preparation for interviewing. Nothing too fancy. A couple of laughs, hand shakes and we were all on our way. Advance one week later. Not a single email, phone call following the meetup. The whole prior setup staged just hanging in limbo. I proceeded to reach out and was given a sub-standard terse reply with it doesn't appear this is a good fit. This is just bad business. This is an example of a poorly executed venture between a business and it's prospective client. While I understand target hiring companies can give the end result stated here, it doesn't quite gel with being lead so deep down the aforementioned process. Not to mention left hung out to dry for a week with no reply about the end result. I was reached out to from the start and profiled as a good fit in a mere few emails. My gut reaction. The meet and greet was a source of more profiling which makes me feel like one of my protected statuses enforced by federal law were violated. A second reaction is that this joker doing recruiting really did do that horrible of a job in the execution of the recruitment process. Either way. This was a terrible experience. I've altered my life to be more on guard because of this. Ending. With so many options for job searching and recruiting companies out there I absolutely can't recommend this company to anyone. I only intended to leave an honest review of our experience with IBA. I stand by my one-star review. As our broker, their job was to represent us and get us the best deal possible--not just push a deal through. The buyers already had their own agent. It became clear that closing the transaction quickly was the priority--not our best interests. That's not just poor service--it's unethical. Mortgage lenders need to know whether they're financing a home or a business. Blurring those lines to push a deal through isn't just questionable--it's potentially harmful. We were not properly represented, and we paid the price for it. I recently posted an honest review about my experience with IBA and noticed they still have a 5-star rating. I probably wouldn't have checked back--except I received a letter from an attorney representing IBA. Here's what it said: "They are chagrined that you posted an online review of IBA suggesting otherwise, and we demand that you remove the review you recently made of IBA NW Business Brokers on Google." To be clear, I shared a truthful account of my own personal experience. I did not name the broker involved, nor did I exaggerate any details. It was a simple, honest, one-star review summarizing what was, for me, a very disappointing experience. I don't appreciate being pressured to remove it. A company that can't accept fair criticism without resorting to legal threats raises serious concerns. There are many business brokers in the Northwest--I'd encourage others to do their research and choose one who values transparency and accountability. Original review: I recently worked with a broker from IBA to sell our business and home together, as the business operated on our property. My daughter and I had one chance to sell the small business we built and dedicated ourselves to for ten years, and unfortunately, we were met with disregard and a lack of respect throughout the entire process.
