EXTREMELY unprofessional, we ended services Dec 26. Jeff sent an invoice that I questioned since I believed he had previously billed me before for that month of service. I had requested all invoices from previous months of service and he failed to send any. He then went into my bank account in January without authorization to pull the money out himself after our services have ended. That is theft. read more

I am a new business owner trying to find my feet, knowing that I know nothing about book keeping or accounting. I can do all the research in my spare time and hope I get it right... or I can call a professional and know I'm getting the right information. It's ironic this business is named on Count on That, since you can't count on them for anything. I was a client for a little over a year and would not recommend this business to anyone. I've been self-employed on and off for many years now and was excited to work with Jeff and really get on top of my tax planning. We had a tax planning session where I explicitly laid out my tax goals and expected income for the year. In the past, I've paid too little tax and have been hit with a huge tax bill. This year I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. The first red flag happened filing a previous years out of state tax return. They had miscalculated my income and I received a letter from the state stating that my tax refund would be about $1,000 less than I expected. I brought this to their attention and they apologized. No biggie, but I wish I had terminated my relationship with them right there. As the year went on, there were some hiccups with quarterly filings (and re-filings) on their end, but again, I ignored this. Finally, when it comes time to file my federal taxes, I discover that I've been underpaying by a huge amount! Not only did I receive penalties from the IRS for underpayment, but whatever we had discussed in the tax planning was completely ignored! While I was making a comfortable amount of money, Jeff had set me up to pay taxes on a poverty-line income that was in no way based in reality. Jeff had put me in the exact situation I wanted to avoid. Again, I would not recommend Count on That to anyone. I'm still livid that for over a year I was paying $100/month for incorrect filings and no-cross checking or even common sense on their side. read more
