Well, I'd love to be able to provide a more personal review - but the online screening process they have to set up an interview rejected me. After answering their questions I was told I wasn't a "fit" for them. Given the fact that I was looking for some pretty complicated S-Corp tax and transition issues (which I expected to pay for), the only reason I could have been rejected was (i) I didn't list enough income, or (ii) the computer automatically rejected it as too complex (?) Hmmmh, not feeling warm and fuzzy about the whole "relationship" vibe they promote. UPDATE: Wow, super fast response to initial review (1/2 hr, maybe). Wish I could do 3.5, or better yet, 4 (if they had actually reached out instead of offering to help via Yelp). Sorry, need to agree to disagree. There weren't that many online questions, and one would hope the purpose was to match you with the right person. But 2 of the few questions were how much my company and I personally made per year. If the firm interests you, I would recommend you call them - not use the online gatekeeper. Other reviewers are certainly positive about their interpersonal skills. I had a complex question and when I called, the receptionist patiently listened to my chaotic explanation, helped me decipher and organize what I was trying to ask, then set me up with a free consultation! The next day, Kyle called me and gave great advice for my inquiry! He was well informed from what I told his secretary, so I didn't have to explain everything all over again, and very polite. Jayson left the company and he was the one handling my taxes. Well no one told me and in March I finally e-mailed Dan to find out why I hadn't heard anything yet. Keep in mind I sent all my paperwork in January. Well Dan explained the situation and apologized for the delay. My tax forms were filed within a week. I'm giving them four stars because it was a mistake and they fixed it quickly. They should have given me a discount but I'm letting that one go. I'll see how they do this year and update my review accordingly. I plan on turning in my paperwork early again, and hope to get my taxes filed earlier than March. Everyone here was really helpful and friendly. I haven't actually used them but got an estimate from them on some tax work I had. Like I said Dan was extremely friendly and seemed like he would be a pleasure to work with. My only issue was the pricing they had. They said they meet with their clients twice a year but their prices for a tax return was 4 times as high as any other accountant I had talked to (I talked to a lot getting estimates). I will say that Dan did offer to do my ammended return for free to get my business but even with that it was too expensive to take on. EDIT: I want to add after giving Nth Degree less than 5 stars, they did reach out to me wanting to fix their mistake. They are the third (and final) CPA firm for our company. They should have been our second and final firm, but another firm oversold and underdelivered. These guys undersold and overdelivered. Only recommendation I have is to oversell and overdeliver because they can pull it off. They brought back tens of thousands of dollars into our company. In the past getting an email from our CPA was like getting an email from the IRS' little brother. More work, more money, little return. I found these guys on Yelp. I gave them a call and was passed along to Dan. I was starting up a business and confused about which forms and what type of business I should declare. He helped me out over the phone and made everything a lot more clear. About two months later, after I had everything set up, I gave him another call to ask about filling Washington city and state tax returns. He advised me how to do so (most of my business is out of state) and told me how to write off my deductions over the phone. In February I will be going back to Dan to help me file my 1040. I found Nth Degree CPAs on Yelp, and decide to give them a try, turns out it is a nightmare. I sent my request to Jayson, he offered to take the job with my tax problem. I sent him the document he needs, he reviewed the document and helped me sent a petition to Tax Court, everything was working great at the beginning. And all of sudden, he just stop responding to my request. He told me in the email briefly about his calculation result, WITHOUT a report. How can I proceed with the Tax Court process without a their tax report? Don't get me wrong, I offered to pay off everything if he has doubts, but he just ignore my emails. I had to hire a lawyer to deal with it, who would have thought that I have to pay more money for the service I already paid? For once I thought I can trust a firm with such good reviews, turns out we are all wrong.
