We really enjoyed our meal at Keystone Grill. The subtle plug for Pennsylvania was well deserved, with several varieties of Philly cheese steak featured prominently. We chose two smoked meat dishes to share among the three of us, based on the recommendation of our very competent server, Amanda. The first was a combo, with sausage, ribs and chicken, all of which were very tasty. The smoked salmon was also great. I rounded out the meal with a lovely IPA and a shared smoked apple crumble. What a gem!!! The staff and bar tenders are super friendly and you can't beat the prices. My husband and I have been here twice now and have had super positive experiences. We asked about their Blantons neat which is usually about $30+and it was only $12 here. They were near the end of the bottle so we got a little less than 2 glasses of Blantons neat and the bartender gave us 2 for one. The food is also great here! They even sell their own sauces. Sure, the hazy ipa was delicious but it was the $12 blantons shot that stole the show. That's almost $40 back in Madison. I love BBQ and love to try different places. My ribs and my wife's brisket were very tasty and lean, Though the ribs were a tad dry they were good with the variety of sauces. Sides; cole slaw, baked potato, garlic mashed and broccoli were all very good. Great variety on the beer list and wait staff was very friendly. Ambiance was lacking; saggy drop ceiling, little decoration and no background music. I've visited the Keystone Grill many times over the past 10 years. It is like going back in time to the 70's. The feeling is small town restaurant, as Cambridge is. The service had always been very prompt and friendly. The food...... well in my pinion they have the best cheeseburgers and perfectly crisp fries I've ever had. I stopped in for dinner last night and ordered the rib and chicken dinner. It took forever, even though the place wasn't busy. I honestly think they put my meal in the oven and forgot about it. I would avoid this place if you could. It's dirt cheap coming from Milwaukee but I'd rather spend the money at this point. BLT's we're good but that's a hard one to mess up. read more

I had to go to Cambridge to pick up something so I decided to stop at the Keystone grill and support a local restaurant. I called in my order from my car I had wanted the brisket sandwich but they didn't have it limited items because of Covid. So I ordered the Cuban sandwich which came with fries when I went in 20 minutes later it was hot ready. I was surprised I had to ask for napkins and ketchup but I have found this to be an issue with a lot of take out. The French fries had a batter on them which are not what I usually like but they were hot and very delicious the Cuban sandwich was juicy warm and tasty perfect for cold day. As regular patrons of this establishment, we were shocked when we ordered two fish fries and an order of cheese curds, and it took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. The baked potato had no sour cream or butter even though we requested it, and the fish fries had no tartar sauce. When we informed our server that we were missing these items, she went to the manager and accused us of being rude to her. The manager came out, did not ask for our side of the story, and told us she valued her employee more than our business. She told us we could leave if we wanted so we did. We have never had an experience like this before. We never raised our voices and yet we were portrayed as the bad guys. All I can say is that the manager accomplished her purpose. She lost our weekly business and held on to a poor employee. If I could give 0 stars I would. A highly disappointing experience. read more

It's not often I come to this neck of the woods. While driving through Cambridge I was on the lookout for something local for a bite to eat. I spotted this restaurant and it looked pretty appealing from the outside. It was a long brick building that looked nicely refurbished. The inside was also nicely done and they have several sections, a couple of large dining areas, an outdoor patio, a bar and what looked like a small eating area. Inside ws very nicely done with dark wood and forest green and white walls and trim. The menu was limited. Basic bar food with a few spins to it. Burgers, pizza, fried foods and the like. Very lean on salads. I ordered a veggie hoagie, some of the others in the group ordered burgers, shrimp and crab cake. They have a full bar but as I was driving and it was lunch time, I had water. We started to get annoyed when it took so long for our meal to arrive, it was not just a long wait, it was ridiculous. Almost an hour for bar food. When the food finally arrived the results were mixed. My veggie hoagie was very good with nice bread and well stuffed with cheese and veggies, however the chips that came with them were stale. The person who ordered the shrimp basket was disappointed, the shrimp were tiny, literally popcorn shrimp. The person who ordered the crab cake was also disappointed. She let me try some and this was more like fried crab dip rather than the lump crab cake we are used to. Those who ordered burgers were reasonably happy. The burgers were reported to be good, but you really have to be a total f... up to screw up a hamburger. Only the nice setting and location saved this place from a one star. Fire the slow cook! Had I gotten cell service in the area and read these reviews I never would have gone there yesterday...won't ever go back! Stopped for lunch yesterday about 1:00pm. Very few people there, dining area was cold, service horribly SLOW! Asked our server about several items, she had never eaten there. REALLY?? Waited 15 minutes to get our appetizer chili, server blamed it on the cook. She proclaimed it was home made, but we determined it coulnd't have been - horrible flavor, nothing special at all!! Our order consisted of a cheeseburger, medium rate & and a salad with NO flavor to the grilled chicken breast....took 20 minutes!! Server brought our check, without asking if we wanted dessert. Will not return, ever. I think this used to be the old Cambridge Inn & Pub from 20 some years ago...SUCH a dissapointment!!! Drive a few minutes more and go to Heathers Bar in Rockdale, just outside of Cambridge, great food! A nice deck to sit outdoors in a summer also. So, on a trip over to Cambridge we wanted some food so we swung into Keystone Grill. First off out meals were awesome but the service....whoa! First off we got there and seated ourselves as we were supposed to. And were greeted by our server right away with some crayons for our daughter and menus. We ordered a appetizer of cheese curds, a kids pizza for our daughter, I got a burger, and my wife got a cheese steak. Now, we wait and wait. Our drinks came out fast but after that we sat and waited forever. Heck, our waitress never came over to ask if we needed more drinks when she only had 3-4 tables. So we wait and wait more and finally our cheese curds and daughters pizza come out. The cheese curds were over cooked (fried) and hard. Daughters pizza was good and she enjoyed it very much. But then we wait again and as we waited we had to track down the waitress to get drinks refilled, ranch for the curds, and more napkins. Now, the food comes and I will say this review would have been 4-5 stars if it was not for the crappy service. I got "The Stone" burger and it was delicious!!! Yes, I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well but it was still good and after waiting for so long I was not about to send it back. But the burger was HUGE and delicious. Highly recommend it. My wife got a philly cheesesteak and it was amazing! The way a cheesesteak should be made and delicious. Seriously I wish I had ordered that. Now both of us got fries with our meals and neither of us touched them as they were over cooked (fried) as well so the guy manning the deep frier must not know what he is doing but the meals themselves were amazing. But then again we needed more napkins and such and our waitress was nowhere to be found and had the personality of a brick. So we finally get the bill and are all packed up ready to leave and where is the waitress? We sat for about 10 minutes waiting for her to grab the check from us. All in all the food was great minus the overcooked fried food but the service sucked and I am not doing the suckness of it justice by this review. Huge place nice surroundings. Very empty, especially for a saturday lunch. Thisay be explained by the ratings but most of these seem to be service. Since it was so empty we had no trouble at all. Food was out as quick as can be expected. We sat at bar and server was pleasant courteous and responded to my crazy questions and requests well. The food was good. I had wings which were ten to the pound which is a great size in my opinion. They were well sauced and tasted great. The sandwich had lots of meat and was great too. This spot is actually pretty good! They have a surprisingly diverse tap list. The place offers a separate dining area from the bar which is awesome for those that do not want the hype of the bar. We had the original cheesesteak and a burger. The burger was awesome (huge!) and the fries were delicious. The cheesesteak was built right, however, it lacked...it was simply chopped meat, cheese, and a bun...for some reason I was under the impression that it would come with more...but...then I guess I should have asked. I would definitely go here again and try some other offerings - apparently the 'cajun' spice here is a house-blend and I do want to sample that. I wonder if I can get cajun-spiced fries...?? Pub food for the most part, although they had prime rib the night we were there. I had a burger, which was OK. Fries that accompanied it were very good. My husband had a chicken breast with red mashed potatoes and a side salad. Salad was VERY basic - iceberg lettuce, a couple of slices of tomato and onion. Chicken dish was tasty. We sat at the bar, so service was good, although the bartender did disappear for a bit to take drink orders in the main restaurant area (there was a help wanted sign in the window).
