Cowboy burger is amazing. The daily lunch specials are typically quite tasty.

Tyranena Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale: Although I've become less of a beer guy since my college…read moredays, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. Tyranena was founded in Lake Mills, WI by Rob Larson in 1999. Although that's within my lifetime, it was well before my beer drinking days. Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale (PLPSA) comes in at an above average 7.25% ABV with an IBU of 22. The bottle depicts multiple pumpkins painted with makeup to resemble women. The term "Painted Ladies" has a few different meanings. It was chosen for Lake Mill's "The Painted Ladies Fling" because the word is often used for Victorian and Edwardian buildings that are painted in ways that help to enhance their architectural details. The fling helps to highlight business and building owners who have embellished and enhanced their buildings throughout the year. Alternatively, it can be used as a synonym for prostitute, and that's why it was chosen for this ale as some of the more adventurous women in Lake Mills dress as painted ladies during the Fling event. PLPSA is an amber ale that pours an opaque copper color with surprisingly little head. There are notes of caramel and toffee, along with pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove). I found this to be an easy beer to drink as the none of the flavors were overly pronounced (although this could also be a criticism for some). I would say it's a relatively average pumpkin beer, but that's high praise from someone who doesn't drink much beer. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My favorite Pumpkin Beers: 1. Southern Tier Pumking Imperial Ale 2. Saint Arnold Pumpkinator Imperial Stout 3. New Belgium Pumpkick Ale 4. Cold Brew Coffee Pumking Nitro 5. Jack-O Traveler Pumpkin Shandy

It was a great little hangout spot to rest & recharge. Food and beverages were available but we just had to order at the bar (no table service when we dined here which was perfectly fine). The IPA tasted more like a pale ale but hit the spot. The food was flavorful and hit the spot! Satisfying portions and yummy vegetarian options. We each ordered two tacos and shared a half pan of loaded nachos (we did the sweet potato vegetarian nacho option). There's limited indoor seating at the front and a larger seating space out back including an outdoor patio space that has tables with umbrellas. We sat out back indoors. The flies were bad but it's that time of year. There's a board game shelf, water station and lots of posters advertising fun weekly activities. I loved how kid/baby friendly the place was. They had high chairs and a changing table in one of the restrooms plus they offer kids eat free deals on Thursdays. We lucked out and came here when it was relatively slow. When we left, the bar was jam packed and while service moved it understandably slowed down. Our only regret was not purchasing a Sunshine Brew Co hat before leaving. Guess that means we will have to make a return visit one day!

Sports bar with great food! Don't miss this one!…read more This gem is unassuming and tucked back off the main streets cottage grove. It has a large indoor and outdoor recreational area attached, but the food is what stands out. This was our first time for breakfast. The Bloody Mary was delicious, tasted like a homemade mix, with the perfect portion of garnishes. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was build your own, with potato pancakes. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The potato pancakes were some of that best I've had, and such a great idea for breakfast. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with seasoned diced potatoes. The portion was not overwhelming and the biscuits were fresh with a very flavorful gravy - some of the best around. Service was efficient and attentive. Excited to come back again!

It was supposed to come with pears and candied walnuts. I've included picture, there weren't any. Both salads were to come with "French Bread" per menu. You will see it was like an inch piece of bread. The Asian Chicken had tough chicken, limp tortilla strips (salad dressing was on side so that wouldn't have impacted this) and about 4 mandarin slices 2 of which were mushy. There were no bean sprouts or sesame seeds as indicated on menu. The only thing that saved this meal was a breadstick we found in our refrigerator. Too bad, would not get either again.
