The rooms are spotless, and they TV was nice with how you could pull it out from the wall to watch it from bed. The bathrooms were great as well! The room also had a big closet, a microwave, a refrigerator, a couch with an ottoman, and a desk. They did a great job with the layout with the room. The hot tub and pool were warm all night long! I think they keep it hot 24/7. I took a dip in the hot tub at around 9pm and it was nice. I just wish there was an option to turn off or dim the lights that way I could better see the stars above. They had an EV charger for my Tesla that was level two charging (48 amps) and it did its job very well. I think the hotel should indicate the spots as being for EV charging though because multiple non-EV cars were parked there anyways (thankfully the hotel wasn't super busy at the time so it turned out ok) and I'm hoping that was just because they weren't paying attention to it being for EV charging. The free breakfast was good. The cutlery they provide is a bit flimsy, but all the food they provided tasted good. It's not quite at the level of being a "breakfast restaurant" but given that it is free I was throughly satisfied with what they provided. I highly recommend this location! Thinking it was just that area of the parking lot, I moved my car to the other side. Got out again and just saw cockroaches (100's of them) everywhere. Although I was totally grossed out, it was getting late and we already paid for the room. I said the the young man checking us in that the parking lot was covered in cockroaches. He just shrugged and said they knew about it. I asked if they spray or do pest control. I did not want cockroaches getting into my car or luggage, etc and taking them home. The young man just said the bugs don't bother him much and shrugged again. I could not sleep that night wondering if the whole hotel has a massive cockroach issue. They offer a free breakfast, but there is no way I would eat anything from there after seeing the massive infestation. I couldn't walk to the front door without side stepping cockroaches. Gross. I even went to the 7-11 next door to get a can of Raid to spray in the hotel room and in my car. Not worth the money to stay here if you're surrounded by bugs/pests and can't get any sleep. Overpriced for the value.

So it caught me by surprise just how much I liked Quail Park Lodge. It's tucked against those incredible red rock views and endless Utah skies, right on the main road through Kanab. Granted, that's not saying much because Kanab basically has two main streets, but the location is perfect for getting anywhere in town while still feeling peaceful. The best way I can describe it is that it has Airbnb personality without the Airbnb hassle. The room felt modern, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated instead of looking like it was furnished by the Hotel Beige Committee. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the rain shower head made me briefly consider whether I should just live there now. Everything about the place was easy. Keyless entry, simple check-in, easy parking, a nice little pool out front, and lots of those small touches that make you feel like someone actually cared about the guest experience instead of just checking boxes. I booked online, although you'll also notice a QR code posted at the property if you're already in town. Either way it's as painless as booking gets. It's rare that I say a hotel actually made my trip better, but this one absolutely did. I'd stay here again without a second thought. Five stars. I'd give it a 10 out of 10, but Yelp insists on limiting my enthusiasm.

I was also hoping to "rent" a pet from the Animal Sanctuary for the duration of our visit, but alas, checked in too late for that. I'd advise anyone who wants to "rent" a pet to call in advance to understand the process and time cut-off. I loved the room. It was super cute and well-appointed for guests with pets. There were two bowls waiting near the front door, and two adorable sleeping areas - one in a cut-out in the wall, and another a pull-out trundle-style bed. The mercantile/ store was stocked with cute apparel for pet-lovers as well as items for pets. Breakfast was also served in the store in the morning - with lots of interesting and yummy options - like vegan egg bites and chia seed pudding. 10/10 recommend this place!!

All done with contemporary Scandinavian furniture which minimizes clutter and convenient controls for lighting, ventilation and automatic shades. - Employees: Helpful. People at the reception desk and in the breakfast area/"Mercantile Shop" were all very friendly. - Breakfast: Vegan and very good. Included with the room. While it wasn't a buffet, you could order as much as you'd like. Much of it was homemade and I especially liked the "Overnight Oats".
