Our guide Kyle was the true cowboy professional. For most of us it was our first time on a horse. As someone just stepping into my senior years, I was a little nervous jumping on a horse for the first time. Kyle showed us the basics, made sure we were all connected to our horses, and away we went. The trail was very fun. We rode up steep mountain trails with beautiful vistas, and it was an extremely fun ride. By the time we were done, we were full of respect for real cowboys and looking forward to the next time. Once we got there, a few things we amiss. Adults on the jungle gym, people walking around shirtless and smoking vapes. People having inappropriate conversations about private adult matters. And there were ZERO other children. Every parental nerve was standing on high alert. Come to find out, only after seeing a flyer posted on site, Zion Ponderosa was hosting an adult's only event. NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE was this listed. How dare you market yourself as a family friendly resort then host an event ON THE ENTIRE PREMISES intended ONLY for 18+ years. And because these were the only accommodations we made (we obviously didn't think we would need a plan B) every other accommodations were fully booked. Which meant, we drove all day for nothing. We planned and spent for nothing. Our kids missed their experience all because your resort mislead us by omitting very important details. So now we are driving home at night, past bedtime, disappointed, sad, and pretty livid. If you have an adults only event, POST IT ON YOUR WEBSITE, for those of us who are bringing minors. It's common sense and common courtesy.

We booked two nights and were required to put down a deposit that was 50% of the cost of the total stay. One month before our stay, our plans changed and we notified them we would like to cancel. The beef is frozen and individually packaged. They also sell whole cows if you're interested. They do not mass sell to restaurants etc, only to customers since each cow only yields so many parts and they only have enough to service locals and nearby shipping. They also sell cheese, pork, local honey, soaps, lotions etc. They have either exclusively grass fed or grass fed then grain fed at the end. There are stickers on the packages indicating how they were fed. Great experience and we were able to purchase a bunch of stuff to take back home packed in ice.
