Yo Vinny pie and salad

The Junction in Mill Valley is a community space with social activities and events. Parking can be tricky, but be patient. There are lots along the way (look for spots near in dirt lots at the Junction or next to the pottery store. There are events like bingo and music, a playground, fire pits, and best of all - pizza and beer. Service is quick and very efficient. Scan the QR code on the table or grab a drink at the bar/window. You'll have a great time!

Shroomer pizza was absolutely amazing. The pesto sauce made this pie! First time here. Loved every minute of this visit.

The Shroomer pizza was absolutely amazing. The pesto sauce made this pie. Very cool, laid back atmosphere. Next time we find ourselves in Mill Valley, we'll definitely come here for another visit.

Cute spot for a lunch in an outdoor space! Very family (and dog) friendly. Saw lots of bikers here so must be a popular spot after a bike ride! We got a kale pizza to share and it was good! I liked the sausage and the chewiness of the crust. The outdoor space is awesome -- it feels super relaxed and the vibe is great. Service is pretty minimal (water is self serve and you order on via QR code on the table) but the pizza came out pretty fast.

Great spot to hang with family and friends

This was the perfect place for our entire family to get together. It was about a 20 minute drive from where we are in Berkley and very simple. Once you get off the Freeway you make your way over to their very large outdoor parking lot along the side and behind The Junction. The entrance come up quickly so be ready, especially at night. First we fed the kids Pizza then as they ran off to their play area in the Junction, we ordered many different types of pizza, We had this along with delicious craft beer. There is a huge outdoor open space with benches, nice lighting and heaters. The play structure for kids was terrific and they really enjoyed alll being together. There is a huge outdoor open space with benches, nice lighting and heaters. It was the perfect place for us all to be at while the kids were playing. Overall, this is a wonderful spot to have a family gathering. KUDOs to the team at The Junction.

Shroomer pizza

We stopped here for a bite showing a visiting family member around the area. We ordered a few different pizzas (the shroomer, the Ohio, and a classic cheese), when we arrived it was a bit of a madhouse but people were having a good time. We ordered our pizza with some drinks from the QR codes provided on the table, after a bit of a wait (which obviously going to be a wait they are making fresh pizzas and it was extremely busy) our drinks and then shortly after food arrived. The pizzas were delicious, the mushroom pizza being my ultimate favorite from here. The restaurant itself is really cool there is indoor and amazing outdoor seating (if the weather isn't too chilly) inside can get a bit crazy and loud but overall a it's a decent stop for some pizza and a beer.

Firepit

Several choices on tap and they have several options for pizza as well, only came here for the beer and the ambiance We chose a spot in the corner by the fire pit, sampled their 7% dry cider for next time I will have to pass. Sample few other drinks but the beer with mango and peach hit my sweet tooth I will definitely have to come back and grab a liter of this stuff Sat by the fire with some close friends and chatted for bout an hour or more then headed to our next spot, asked the staff to turn on the firepit and enjoyed the warmth as well as the conversations with old friends You can bring your kids here and there was seating brightly lit inside as well I will have to come back for that mango peach beer and sample more of their offerings and maybe a pizza to share with the kids Drinks **** Price $$ Service **** helpful Ambiance **** clean, roomy, open, bright inside, heater and firepit outside

Huge beer garden with plenty of seating. Family friendly and dog friendly. Great selection of craft beers! They even have some special collabs on the menu. Parking can be tough on a busy weekend. Their lot is in back. Food was also very good! We ordered a half and half pizza and the kale salad. Would definitely return!

So everyone's pizza looked excellent but mine was burnt. Not the best pizza. They have lots of outdoor seating but if you want to custom your pizza you have to go up and order it with a table number which really didn't work out because by the time you go to your table your seat is taken.

My hubby and daughter had never had (or heard of) hush puppies before, but loved them. (Oh- and we loved the honey butter and pepper jam that came on the side!). We then shared a margherita pizza and flat iron steak. We finished with the strawberry streusal cake. We will definitely be back.

We decided a Warriors and Lakers game would be the best time to try it out. It was busy and the Saturday before SuperBowl, so we knew it would be busy. We immediately walked up and sat at the bar with open seating. However, quickly realized we would rather enjoy a table. I walked back to the host and asked to be put on a list for a table (there were 3-4 open). I knew they accepted reservations and we may not be sat immediately. However, we were completely forgot about. No text, no call. By half time, the place was pretty open and we were disappointed we hadn't been contacted. I didn't feel it was my job to double check if we had been forgotten. By the time we left, we still didn't receive and recognition from the hostess (2 people working the stand). I know we were forgotten because I watched her write down my name and phone number on a paper, and as a customer, it sucked. We wanted a table to order dinner and have more room, but we just ate at the bar. I will be honest, I wanted to leave at half after this, but my partner was hungry, and that is the only reason we stayed. The beer is always good. The food is okay (too pricey) in our opinion. The French dip lacked flavor, but the fries were amazing. My partner said the burger was ok (also lacked seasoning). We will probably be back for happy hour, and for the atmosphere, but other than that we may have gone in with higher expectations.

Staff are always top notch. It was surprising busy for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Veggie lovers, you must get the veggie burger. The caramelized burger alone was worth the bite. Another highlight was the side salad - not a garnish! It was perfectly dressed and paired well with the heavy burger. I washed it all down with a dunkle. Cheers to health!

On a packed playoff weekend, the Bears-Packers game felt more rowdy Chicago than sleepy Mill Valley, complete with wall-to-wall TVs and loud cheering. The new iteration has increased crowd sizes. Under new ownership, weekends are slammed. The food value seems to have improved, featuring bigger portions--dinosaur-sized pork schnitzel, smash burgers, French dip, and (smaller) personal pizzas. Skip the "Warm Winter Salad," which is really just roast vegetables in dressing. (Zero greens does not equate to a salad, in my opinion.) There are many similarities to its last incarnation: there is a game room, solid craft beer, but now more sports fan energy (and noise) than before. Service started slow, but ended stronger. Reservations are currently needed on weekends.

Because of that, my experience may be influenced by expecting a bit higher quality, especially given the other food options in the area The Cantina in Mill Valley is a pretty standard Mexican spot with a Tex-Mex lean. I usually enjoy this style of food; I was a big fan of places like El Torito in SoCal, but this one didn't quite land for me. We ordered two burritos. The portions were generous, but the flavors were very mild. I love bold, spicy food, and these were lacking seasoning in my opinion. I ended up taking half home and adding avocado, lemon, and salsa from my own kitchen to give it the punch it was missing. We also tried the queso fundido, which was interesting. I hadn't had it prepared quite like that before, and it definitely leaned more Tex-Mex. It wasn't bad, just different from what I expected. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown as well. I had to find menus myself, and the only ones available at the bar were happy hour menus. Later, the server told us that happy hour isn't honored on holidays, which was disappointing. If that's the case, those menus shouldn't be out at all--it sets expectations that weren't met. Overall, if you're looking for a basic Tex-Mex spot and aren't big on spice, this might work for you. For me, between the bland food and the service issues, it's not a place I'd rush back to.
