This chain of chiropractic is meant to lure customers for their wellness plans. My wife got a back sprain and after trying at home for a full day we decided to show to a chiropractor, however, did not get any doctor's appointments due to the weekend, and hence we decided to visit here for quick relief. They don't accept insurance but first visit prices are very reasonable. They tried to adjust the body and spent enough time with my wife but unfortunately, nothing much helped her in her back pain. And since they adjusted so they tried to throw away the pitch for the next needed appointment to complete the adjustment cycle. Overall we felt they be nice to you just to make you enroll in their wellness plan. I would not recommend this place. Instead visit a proper chiropractor office with your insurance. read more

This location is so disappointing. This location is in our neighborhood and they are either closed when they are supposed to be open, lock the doors early or have an hour wait. There is always only one doctor and every time they bring in a new awesome doctor they don't stay. When we travel we stop in for adjustments and the experience, service and adjustments are 100 times better. We will be looking for a new location. The Joint makes money by getting people in and out as soon as possible in a kind of 'wham bam, thank you ma'am' process, so don't expect quality personal care. The office staff of this location are not customer-centric and have no understanding of how to keep customers happy so that they will come back and refer others. This office has a significant turnover of Chiropractors, so don't expect specialized attention to your health issues. Most importantly, when you sign a monthly contract it has multiple caveats within it so you need to pay very close attention to the details, ESPECIALLY when you want to cancel. The receptionist was rude asking me multiple times for my phone number even though I had already scanned my card. After I relented and gave her my number, I asked what was the point of the cards if I still had to give my phone number? She rolled her eyes and huffed at me then stated with an angry tone that the scanner doesn't always work properly. If this is the case, fix it or get rid of the device. Next the female chiropractor came out and interrupted our conversation. Of course this is the person I get. The whole time she is talking louder than a face to face conversation has to be as if my ears didn't work while adjusting my hips and spine. When she was finished she immediately went into sales mode over talking my questions in a loud obnoxious manner stating "I have been doing this for 20 years!". Well if this is how you treat you patients - it's no wonder you don't have a private practice and have to work at the Joint. I felt like I was being rushed out to the front office even though no one was waiting. November 19th at 3:30 I called to book an appointment, the male receptionist booked me for the next day 11/20 for 11am. I arrive on time and they gave me this rhetoric on how the system was down and they don't take appointments and that they "book" not to have an appointment system but to "see who's coming in". This was not communicated to me and long story short I was just turned away. They asked me a couple questions on what my situation was but the lady with her projecting voice spoke over me and didn't let me speak. I've been looking for a good chiropractor and will not seek treatment at any Joint business. This location left a bad taste in my mouth and will stay away from this company. read more

Despite all the poor reviews I decided to give this place a chance. I was having headaches due to my neck. Along with sore hips so I decided it was time to see a chiropractor while I'm traveling and visiting Arizona. I walked in on a Sunday. Was greeted by the desk lady. Told her I was a walk in and she told me there would be a wait, I told her that was fine(what dr office doesn't have a wait time??) they got me back and I was greeted by the chiropractor where he took his time and asked me questions about my pain, soreness and ect. He got me adjusted. Asked how I felt and if everything felt alright. (Didn't pressure me into a wellness plan or anything). Andddd I was on my way. This "adjustment" was the laziest and most ineffective adjustment I've ever had in my life. That's just the way they do business there so if you're looking for any kind of relief from actual pain don't even waste your money. Seriously. They cracked my neck, tried to sell me some weekly package and then sent me home. I had no relief and literally just felt like I threw money the door and walked out. I have been a patient of The Joint for over a year. Receiving treatment in Montana, Boston and Phoenix, of which I am mostly happy with. And to be clear, I like to use Yelp for both positive and not-positive experiences, so please dont consider me on of those constant bitchers, LOL! I will be straight, the practice I attend mostly is Phoenix at Happy Valley and probably the least desirable for me after visits with other Joints and chiropractors like the ones in MT and MA. (you can see whom I visited there. Remarkably good and thorough.). Pulled into The Joint after flying in and waited for Dr. The first thing that became evident was the friction between Dr and the person working the desk. Dr was very short with her, definitely displeased and loud/animated enough that it was obvious to the waiting room. Next odd moment was Dr calling in a patient that came after me. I asked and so did the desk person and that was a bit of an uncomfortable moment to hear between them. When I saw Dr she was definitely agitated, and was very abrupt about what she needed me to do, which way to turn, etc. If I was timid, I may have considered that I had done something to draw her annoyance, but I am more confidant than that, I guess. The Dr started talking about how I need to be reevaluated, and did so, then started admonishing me for not doing more to curb my growing arthritis in my neck. My response was, "We have never discussed my having any kind of arthritis, where is this coming from now?", to which the response was, "Well yes, but what do you think your dealing with then? And anyway I cant tell you more unless you have x-rays done." Then after a blur of quick and mostly ineffective (half-assed) adjustment attempts she is telling me that she fell and hit her head on the weekend, is dizzy and nauseous and sore. I told her she should not be working and looking after herself, but she was in a world of her own. I left, my neck far worse than when I walked in and my lower back that has NOT bothered me in months after my visit to the Boston Joint, in worse pain than ever, which literally developed while I was on the table. My wife was there, waiting in the room, and she can concur it all. I should have contacted them earlier, simply due to the fact that having a professional behaving like this in that sort of physical/mental/emotional state will open a company up to troubles on many levels, besides unhappy and hurt patients. I would choose any other location, or possibly even picking up any stranger and offering them a few bucks for an adjustment. Can't be any worse.... ;) Good luck! read more

I don't often take the time to write reviews so hopefully that says something in and of itself! Dr. Bisko is the man. I've been coming to this location for close to a year now and all of the doctor's have been great. I've seen Dr. Bisko a number of times for "routine" care and he always does a great job. Yesterday morning, I woke up with a very bad neck strain from having slept on it wrong. It felt like I could barely turn my neck without feeling sharp pain, and if you looked at me you'd easily see my head alignment was way off on my neck (My wife was concerned). I've done this in the past and always been afraid to mess with it, and it eventually feels better over the course of a few days, but it can take a week or two before feeling "normal" again. Since I've gotten so comfortable going to the Joint I decided to give it a shot, even though I was still a bit fearful of a neck adjustment being very painful. Dr. Bisko listened to my concerns and talked through it with me, then guided me through the adjustment and took extra care around my neck with that part of the adjustment. I didn't feel any pain, which at the time I was pretty amazed by. He then gave me some suggestions on stretches and a heat/ice treament for the day. Well, I did those things and I woke up this morning and feel about as close to 100% as I could possibly imagine. I'm actually quite amazed by it, and obviously feeling very grateful and wanted to write this review. Thank you the Joint and thank you Dr. Bisko! read more

Well...here we go again! Would I recommend The Joint to anyone? NO! Dr. Palazzo is gone again along with one other fairly new doctor that I liked. Not to mention I go to get an adjustment yesterday ANNND they were closed. They were closed on Saturday 4/06 and on Monday 04/08. One of the selling points for me was at the time, they were opened 7 days a week. After I got home I checked the old Interweby and notice most if not all of the Joints were closed on Monday. WTF!! It appears they seem to be haveing issues with keeping DECENT doctors! I did ask one Doctor a few weeks back as to what happend to one of the doctors that I like and was not there, what happened to him...This what the doctor said to me...and I quote, "He couldn't handle it!" After about 6 years of being a patient it seems time for me to cancel my monthly membership! read more

I came here in extreme pain caused by a pinched nerve. Once the chiropractor found out their may have been a chance my job contributed to injury, he refused to treat me unless it was done under a workers comp. claim. At first he said it was company policy, then he switched it up and said it was state law. I looked into it and neither are true, he lied to my face to make money. I'm sure he felt like he could get more buissness and money out of me if a comp claim was paying for my care. I walked out and I'm glad I did. I found an honest chiropractor that didn't want to put strain on the tiny company I work for during these hard times. This other chiropractor cost the same amount, but they do free x rays for new patients and only adjust what needs to be adjusted. The Joint on the other hand does not offer x rays, and they adjust any joint that will crack. I have left there feeling worse than when I came in due to them adjusting areas that had nothing wrong with them. They are cheap and convient, they are the McDonnalds of chiropractic practices. Do yourself a favor and find someone else who actually is looking out for your well being and not just trying to exploit you for profit. read more

I went into the Joint and I had level 9 pain in my back. I learned a lot about my back and I learned how to sleep. They also reminded me to use ice and heat through out the day. Dr. Roeder is filled with great knowledge and tries to get to the root if the problem. I will definitely have my family members come and see Dr. Roeder when they have any back pain. But they will continue to charge you and then when you have to speak to management about it, they are absolutely the most disrespectful and disgusting people I've ever met. I have been seen by The Joint for years. Love it. But not this one. I came to this location and to my surprise, the receptionist acted not being aware of my membership telling me I had one visit left when it's not true as I am a member, then to hand me a multiple pages package to fill out, asking me if I had 45 min to fill out which sounded like a joke, and that I couldn't be seen without this paperwork. Let me remind them I PAY in advance and I am seen by the joint every week. She stated that it was to provide standard of care. I asked when it expired and she said 2 years ago which is insane - So The Joint has been performing services without standard of care for over 2 years? Somehow this visit was refused - REFUSED - even if paid for - without me spending 45 min paperwork. Horrible customer service. I called back - She HUNG UP on me. Unreal. And the doctor on side backed her up saying I couldn't be seen. What in the world I visit every week. If anything comes to this please someone teach this poor young lady that when you are in customer service you don't hang up at a customer. Especially with a sarcastic "Have a good day" while I was speaking. Went to a different location on Thompson Peak and I was helped by doctor Wagner and feel great. Of course - no "standard of care 45 min paperwork required - just my normal great visits as usual. As far as this one - Unbelievable horrible service do not recommend this location but I bet they prefer empty with no one to treat. read more

There are not enough good things I could say about Dr. Pallazo. I've fought with severe pain for a long time. Dr. Pallazo is amazing! He's extensive and knowledgeable. My husband has had some back pain and I sent him over there too! I would not be as committed to chiropractic care as I am if we're not for him! In my 40 years of seeing Chiropractors I just had the best experience I have ever had with Dr. Mark Palazzo at the Happy Valley location. He was the first Dr at a Joint to do a thorough neurological evaluation before deciding how to adjust me. He was also the first to diagnose an issue that everyone else has missed for decades. I am extremely grateful to have seen Dr. Palazzo today and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of Chiropractic care. read more

My experience with Dr. Lori was very in and out; she didn't seem to want to spend any more time with me than she had to. Additionally, after I cancelled my membership, I felt like I received even worse service. You're left paying for one additional month after you cancel, so I had 4 adjustments to use. When I used the 1st of the 4 with Lori, she did two adjustments, which felt very minimal. I went to a different Joint location (on Bell by Sprouts) to use the 2nd adjustment, and it was like night and day. This doctor did about 8 or 9 great adjustments. It's a bummer since the Happy Valley location is the most convenient for me. read more

I joined this Joint because of my positive experience with the location in Scottsdale. Unfortunately, I canceled my membership after a few adjustment at the Happy Valley location. I really dislike the amount of time the chiropractor spends with me. The entire adjustment takes about one minute and the chiropractor never asks me what is bothering me or any special areas she should pay attention too. She really says nothing about my back or adjustment at all. This is not what I am used to at all. I feel like I am getting poor quality treatment. This is not my favorite place... I have had the best experience with mark palazzo he is such an amazing chiropractor,he took the time to listen to all of my areas of pain he explained things I could do during the day to help my pain. He cares about helping people. I could tell from the moment he started asking questions that he does this job because he enjoys making people feel better. Dr. Bert Lindsay is very professional and skilled. I highly reccomend him as a chiropractor. For years I was in excruciating pain in my lower back. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc's in my lower back and was getting epidermal injections that didn't help relieve the pain and was told I needed back surgery. I was unable to put on my shoes until Dr. Lindsay started adjusting me. Thanks to Dr. Lindsay I no longer need back surgery. I highly reccomend Dr. Bert Lindsay he is amazing. read more

This place is fantastic! Dr. Lori and Robin at the front desk are warm, welcoming, and fun to talk to. I have been going to a chiropractor since 2005, and have never had such great adjustments like I have from Dr. Lori at The Joint. I can truly feel she is passionate about her patients and the adjustments. I have been following her since 2007, continued seeing her multiple times a week while I was pregnant, and had her adjust my son at his birth. I rarely get sick and always feel great after seeing Dr. Lori! The membership for The Joint is convenient since I work downtown by that location, and live by the Norterra location. Also, I saw this male doctor talking to one of his patients without a mask and the front desk lady wasn't wearing one either.
